Canal Sound & Light

reat about making adjustments to our order up to a couple weeks before the wedding. The techs did a great job delivering equipment, setting everything up, and taking everything down afterward. They also did well setting up the uplights I ordered around the reception space and choosing the exact color I wanted. A great place to rent equipment for events if, like me, you have other ideas in mind about a DJ or band than simply hiring one.

ed. I had a vision for my wedding and they made it a stunning reality. As an event planner myself, I am a tough customer but I really trust these guys and will continue to work with them time and time again!

Jeff and Gabe went above and beyond to help my wife an I make our wedding a very special day. We were wed in a Brooklyn art gallery with 40ft ceilings. Their guidance and recommendations on how to light the venue with class and style were spot on. Our friends and family were blown away by the lighting and whole ambience. The Canal Sound & Light crew were professional, timely and fun! So much so that I am having them light my company holiday party this year! I'll be using them for years to come (partially bc they listen to my ridiculous requests ha)

rendering the services. In this instance, I am making an exception because I want all brides-to be - or anyone considering using Canal Sound and Light for their event - to know how outstanding they are. I was willing to splurge on lighting to make my wedding reception that much more memorable. I looked at several companies and was frustrated with the ridiculous disco lighting that would do nothing but cheapen the aura of my wedding. I had a specific vision in mind....that is when I came across an article about a celebrity wedding planner in NYC and the lighting company she used for her own wedding - Canal Sound and Light. I figured this was a good lead. And from the moment I contacted Jeff and Gabriel, I knew I had found the real deal. Gear heads, techies, professional and totally on point!! I'm not even exaggerating. We met at the venue and immediately they were able to understand the vision I had and even provided technical recommendations (as true professionals do) as to how I can further enhance the atmosphere with lighting. Throughout the wedding planning, they were super responsive. Seriously, I would receive a response to my" bridal queries" (I will admit to that) and super detailed emails the same day or within 24 hours. In addition, they were super calm - priceless when planning a wedding. They worked well with all my other vendors (music, venue, flowers, baker etc.) They did an amazing, amazing job! My husband and I could not have been happier with the outcome. We see it most in the photos!! Although, during the reception they pin spotted the centerpieces beautifully, the wedding cake and my dad as he made the toast. They even helped me to select a perfect monogram to display on the dance floor all evening as well as select the perfect "stars" for the ceiling. Just gorgeous!!! And the photos were that much more amazing! Listen, you're not going to find a better company to light your venue and/or event. We definitely plan to make Canal Sound and Light our go to lighting company for all our future events. Jeff and Gabriel - Thank you!
