The staff was incredible, communication was excellent, and the food was outstanding — our guests are still talking about it! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone at Canal Street Eatery for making our wedding so perfect. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible team behind it.

ere fabulous, and the chic and modern spaces really set the tone for everyone to have a wonderful time. The location is also unbeatable, easy to get to via public transportation with a garage parking option on-site. The Eatery/AfterBar's event team were also so responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process, were thoughtful and accommodating regarding guests' dietary restrictions, and were great with our other vendors (Rob Karlic Photography, Naturally Yours Events, Flowers for Dreams, Defloured Bakery, Umaga Bakehouse, and BreezyBooth). I cannot recommend this venue and their team highly enough, and we look forward to coming back often!

m the start, Elise’s planning was top-notch—she was organized, attentive, and ensured every detail was covered. On the day of the wedding, Thaina and Seth went above and beyond to execute everything flawlessly. Their seamless coordination made the entire event run like clockwork, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The flexibility of the space allowed us to create the perfect atmosphere for the couple, and the food was out of this world! The guests were raving about it all night. Most importantly, everything came together so beautifully, and not one thing went wrong. The couple was on cloud 9 the entire evening, and that’s a testament to the amazing staff at Canal Street Eatery. If you’re looking for a venue that offers incredible food, a flexible space, and a team that truly cares, I highly recommend Canal Street Eatery. You won’t regret it!

everyone who works here is kind, warm and provided top tier service to us and our guests. Elise, the senior sales manager for catering and events, is an absolute rockstar. She ensured that our day went off without a hitch and worked very closely with us on all of the details that were important to us and our wedding day. She is extremely detail oriented, responsive, and above all else an incredible person. We love Elise!! Aside from the amazing team of people at Canal, the venue itself is absolutely jaw-dropping. Gorgeous high ceilings, perfectly decorated with a funky, yet simplistic design. It is truly the perfect setting for any party – and the pictures speak for themselves! We hardly added any of our own décor aside from our floral pieces and it was all the space needed. By utilizing the main dining space as well as their sister bar only a few steps away, we were able to have a seamless evening filled with delicious food, family and friends. We really cannot recommend Canal Street enough! Seriously, have your wedding here and come back again and again to relive the memories.

ensured that beer and wine was waiting, and even with 200 guests arriving at once, there was not a bit of bottlenecking. The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE, and the guests raved about everything. Not one bite was left over and the bartenders and staff kept the energy high. From a planning perspective, Elise and Francesca made it unbelievably easy – they worked within our budget to throw the party we wanted. They helped us manage a live band and source the best location within the space. And they made sure we enjoyed every minute of the party!

ensure every detail was to our liking. She was on site for the entire event and acted as a point of contact for any concerns. She was so easy to work with and anticipated all of our needs! The venue itself is beautiful, and required very little in the way of flowers or decoration. We used The Green for our ceremony and cocktail hour, just a few steps outside of the restaurant where we had a seated dinner and dancing. The food they make here is incredible - everything from passed appetizers to the buffet dinner and stationed desserts. The entire team was lovely and our guests said nothing but positive things about the wedding. We were thrilled with the event Canal Street put together for us, and we couldn't believe we found such a beautiful venue in downtown Chicago! We can't recommend them enough.

then the Eatery for dinner and dancing. The flow from one space to the next was seamless. We worked with Elise on planning the event. She was incredibly detailed and able to answer all our questions quickly and professionally. She made the entire process enjoyable and completely worry free. All of our guest were so impressed with the ambiance of the space, the service of all their staff, and the food/drinks. We got some many compliments from everyone. It truly was the best day! I cannot say enough about how happy we are with our decision to host our happiest day at Canal Street Eatery!!

work with and made the process easy, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day worry-free. Our guests were blown away by the uniquely beautiful space, ambiance, and location of Canal Street as a wedding venue. We were able to leverage the After Bar for Cocktail Hour and utilize the outdoor space surrounding the venue before enjoying dinner and dancing inside Canal Street Eatery. Not to mention the 5 star service and food during the event was amazing. Another huge plus was the use of the building's parking garage for our guests so they did not have to stress about where to park when coming downtown for our wedding. I could go on and on about how wonderful the staff, service, space, food, and event execution was... so if you are considering booking Canal Street Eatery for your Wedding or next event this is your sign to do so!

nsive, so knowledgeable, and gave great advice when we were stuck on what to do. The space is gorgeous and they really worked with us to customize our evening and figure out the best setup and layout for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Everyone was raving about how beautiful it was. The food was also incredible - we heard from many guests that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We served dinner family-style, but they also had buffet and plated options. The service during cocktail hour, dinner, and at the bar was 5-star. Overall, we had a perfect day and perfect wedding at Canal Street and couldn't have asked for anything more.
