This business is a success story, starting in the year 1973. Original proprietors Jim and Christine Temple began their business with one phone line in their basement. Since then, they broadened their entertainment solutions from nightclubs and bars to weddings and private events. As it turned out, the business came to include the family, that being Jim’s son Chris. Chris began his career with C&J in 1993 and fully took the reigns in 2010. Since this time, the business has continued to flourish under his careful direction.
No style or era is off limits for C&J Entertainment DJs, Bands & Strings. All of their entertainers are capable of acting as a master of ceremonies alongside their role of music aficionado. Any age can be accommodated, and there are also plenty of options for live music ensembles.

dreaming about forever; the dance floor was packed from start to finish. My husband and I had crazy busy schedules leading up to our wedding, but Chris was very proactive and organized, and was always available if we needed him, whether that was over email or on a quick phone call. We were pretty indecisive and changed our slow dance songs multiple times close to the wedding day, but Chris was super quick to cut/edit and send them back to us for review (along with the mother-son/father-daughter dances). He sent several different versions and was really good at incorporating our feedback. One of the songs was also particularly difficult to edit, but he did an excellent job cutting it down!
We had a good sense of what songs we wanted to hear, and Chris made sure to include all of our must-plays throughout the night. The most impressive part of this was his ability to read the crowd and know what songs to play. Although most of our songs came from the playlist we gave him, the songs outside of that still fit our vibe and music taste perfectly, and everyone had an absolute blast. There were songs for everyone, and he played them in a way that got guests of all ages dancing. It’s been a month and our guests are still raving about the incredible energy at the reception and how that was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! I know for a fact that wouldn’t have been possible without Chris’ help. He did a wonderful job at keeping things moving smoothly and efficiently, from the start of cocktail hour to the very end.
Looking back on everything now, it is clear that Chris cares about making your day one to remember, and he really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted. By the time the wedding came around, he knew exactly what he was doing and knew exactly what we needed. You can trust in him from day one. If you need a DJ/MC, Chris is your guy! Thank you, Chris!

Chirs was very communicative, he responded to emails in a timely manner, edited music for our first dance and answered all my little questions. When we did request last minute songs he made sure to keep the flow of the party by adding the right lead in songs. There wasn’t an abrupt change in the flow.
My dad had a very specific song he wanted for our dance from YouTube. Chris picked it up, did some editing, and it was perfect! He also helped nudge my husband to the dance floor when we got separated for one of our must plays, which I’m so appreciative of because the moment my husband and I had was one of our best! The night of our first phone call, he had already expertly cut three different versions of the song we had chosen as our first dance song, one of which was the one he played for us 13 months later.
While I know we could have left all the other musical choices in his hands, he was also very receptive when I wanted to compile my own playlists for different portions of the day. He provided guidance on the number of songs to play, when we should play slower songs, what kind of song we should use to start, say, the dance portion of the reception, etc. It was priceless to hear the songs we had carefully chosen play on our day. It was hugely cool of Chris to be that collaborative with us.
Throughout our phone calls and emails, Chris was always a great listener. He worked across me and our wedding coordinator very well. I never had to worry about him or the high quality of the services he provided. On the wedding day, he was just as friendly as ever and interacted with guests in the most awesome of ways.
