Chris was absolutely amazing as our DJ for our August 2024 wedding at the Governor Calvert House! During planning, he worked with us to make sure our music lists had something for everyone and that they flowed well throughout the day. He was always quick with communication and we felt like he truly cared about us! Chris’s knowledge of our venue was one of the major selling points for us and he did not disappoint. He had a great rapport with the Governor Calvert staff which made everything go smoothly. We are so glad to have used Chris from C&J Entertainment as the DJ for our wedding. From the first phone call, Chris demonstrated how knowledgeable and caring he and the rest of the company are. He took the time to get to know our musical preferences, which really showed during our conversations and on the big day. The night of our first phone call, he had already expertly cut three different versions of the song we had chosen as our first dance song, one of which was the one he played for us 13 months later. While I know we could have left all the other musical choices in his hands, he was also very receptive when I wanted to compile my own playlists for different portions of the day. He provided guidance on the number of songs to play, when we should play slower songs, what kind of song we should use to start, say, the dance portion of the reception, etc. It was priceless to hear the songs we had carefully chosen play on our day. It was hugely cool of Chris to be that collaborative with us. Throughout our phone calls and emails, Chris was always a great listener. He worked across me and our wedding coordinator very well. I never had to worry about him or the high quality of the services he provided. On the wedding day, he was just as friendly as ever and interacted with guests in the most awesome of ways. I could not recommend C&J entertainment enough. Two months after the wedding and the guests still talk about how great the music was any time the wedding comes up! Chris and team are very thorough in nailing down the wedding day timeline, everyone’s names, and the songs to go with each specific event. For some events, the groom and I couldn’t come up with any song ideas, but Chris made recommendations that fit great with the rest of the music we picked for the wedding. We specifically requested DJ Karl based on the amazing reviews he received online and he did not disappoint! He played all of our must-plays and filled in the remaining gaps perfectly, reading the vibe of the guests and matching their energy.

DJ Chris was the absolute best!! He helped us prep for the wedding so much and was a pleasure to work with. On the day of our wedding, he did all the things we asked for. During the dancing portion of the evening, he used our prepared playlist but also added in some other songs - absolute fire! We had so many guests compliment the playlist and ask us about it. We had our wedding last month (September 2023). Chris was amazing. He was very detailed and extremely helpful every step of the way. DJ Chris was absolutely amazing. He knew things we wanted before we even knew we wanted them. He was so fun to chat with and made wedding planning really fun and light when it came to choosing music. C&J Entertainment we’re phenomenal! Planning a COVID was certainly not easy but he was easy to work with and was able to bring our musical dreams to life. We recently had Chris DJ our wedding and he was absolutely outstanding. I had been to a wedding a few months prior where Chris was the DJ and immediately I knew we wanted him for our wedding. Chris at C&J Entertainment was so wonderful to work with! We had a few zoom sessions which were thorough, and I felt so confident we were on the same page and that my thoughts on music were completely listened to and respected. Chris is the best! If you need a DJ for your wedding, Chris is your guy!! He did the BEST job at our wedding, I am not even kidding our guests danced from the minute the mother/son, father/daughter dances ended to when the lights turned on at the end of the night. I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am that C&J Entertainment was able to DJ our reception. I started speaking with Chris in August of 2019 when I got engaged and he was so invested in helping me bring my reception dreams to life. He was always quick to respond, helped me with reception timeline suggestions, would send music samples, and was always quick to make me laugh during stressful wedding planning phone calls! Then, my wedding was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID, but Chris promised he’d still DJ when we planned a new wedding date. DJ Chris was recommended to us by several family and friends. Planning a wedding during COVID was not easy and Chris was extremely attentive and flexible to our many changes. He is also hilarious! Our reception was seamless, Chris effortlessly guided the party through the timeline and if the bridal party was late or missed something at any point no guest would have known. He played most of our “must play” list but more importantly he knew exactly which songs to play and when to keep the dance floor full. After the wedding we received endless compliments from guests about the music and quality of DJ. Chris also provided us with uplights for the reception space which were beautiful. Highly recommend!

He went way beyond what was expected to help make both our daughter’s weddings wonderful....especially our most recent wedding, in October which sadly had to be downsized due to Covid. Wow, Karl did such a great job! He was so flexible and went with flow. I was searching high and low for a reputable DJ in the area with reasonable prices and available on a very popular wedding date! My reception venue coordinator as well as a previous C&J bride recommended them! The contract was easy to read and straight forward. Chris (owner) was great with email communication and gave me a great template to jot down all of my must have songs for the day. Everything went according to schedule for the day! The only recommendation, I have is to find out who your specific DJ is sooner than later. I was under the impression that Chris was our DJ for the evening from all of our emails, but had Karl instead and spoke to him physically about 1 week prior to the wedding. He gave us great advice on what works and what doesn't to get people on the dance floor. He helped to create the father/daughter dance mash-up, found every song that I wanted to use, and planned everything out in an organized way. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. The dance floor was packed the entire time. Chris stayed within our playlist and made sure to play all of our dedication songs and must plays. He also made sure to keep the do not plays out of the evening. I highly recommend DJ Chris.

We are so happy we went with C&J entertainment. Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with. He worked so hard to make sure we were completely happy and spent 40 minutes just trying to find the perfect version of our first dance song! We had DJ Karl as our MC. He did a great job and walked us through everything. He also checked in with me during the wedding to make sure I was happy with everything and everything was running smoothly.

Leading up to our special day, Chris was very detailed in his planning for the event, ensuring he knew all of our song requests and schedule of events for the wedding reception. He was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to emails. He did a great job playing music that flowed with the crowd and kept the wedding events like toasts, speeches, dinner, cake cutting, and garter/bouquet toss on schedule without killing the dancing mood our guests had going. Overall great service and very memorable evening due in part to his efforts!

We were referred to C&J by a friend who had them for their wedding and they didn't disappoint! Chris really knew what he was doing! He pretty much laid out our whole ceremony and reception music timeline, which was so helpful because we had no idea the normal sequence of wedding events. They also provided the uplighting which created the perfect atmosphere for the dance floor. On wedding day, Our DJ was great! Although we had suggestions of what we wanted played, we told him to just read the crowd and play whatever seemed to keep everyone on the dance floor and he did an awesome job, everyone had a blast! He was also very helpful coming to find us when certain songs or events were about to happen so we didn't miss anything!

Finding a wedding DJ is OVERWHLEMING! We talked to several different companies and chose C&J. Talking to Chris was so natural that by our final meeting I felt like he was an old friend, he immediately understood who we were as people and as a couple. He did a great job of guiding how much input we needed to provide and was really helpful with laying out how the music would help the wedding flow. On the day of we worked with DJ Karl who did an amazing job of keeping the dance floor moving! He executed our details as requested, was friendly but not overly chatty on the microphone, he was totally fun, flexible and accommodating! C & J did a great job! We worked with Chris at first, who walked us through our potential schedule and all the different "moments" that we would want to have music for during the reception. We were mostly clueless about how it would all go down before our meeting with him – he was very helpful! They even provided a list of top songs that we were able to look through to get a better idea what we liked and what we wanted to exclude. On the day of, we had Damion as our DJ, and he did an awesome job keeping things on schedule, MCing, and working with our song list to keep the celebration going all through the evening. Everyone had a blast, and we got so many compliments on the music!

My husband and I absolutely made a great choice in booking C & J Entertainment for our wedding! Chris made the planning and organization of our set list so easy. My husband and I had no clue what we were doing, but he made it so easy. Great personality and wonderful work! Matt was a great DJ and kept the party alive! There was never an empty dance floor! We met with Chris months before our wedding and we didn't need to look for anyone else. Our first impression of him and C&J Entertainment was that they have done more than enough events to know what works, what doesn't work and how to avoid problems ahead of time. We had Chris from C&J entertainment and he was amazing! He was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. We made a draft of the music we wanted played for different parts of the wedding and met with him in person to discuss our ideas. Chris also made us an incredible mash up for our first dance which turned out really well! We also talked to Chris over the phone a few days before the wedding to go over any last minute details or changes we had. Chris is experienced and knows what he is doing. Chris has strong attention to detail and knows how to adjust the music to get the crowd pumped and to keep the party going. Everyone was dancing the whole night. Chris was also to get some Greek and Persian music that we wanted played at the wedding, which simplified things on our end. We were both happy we chose Chris and we would definitely work with him again.

We had our initial meeting with Chris Temple, who had great energy and ideas for our reception flow and timetable. He spent time getting to know us and our likes, preferences, what would appeal to our guests, etc. We felt we were not just getting an "off the shelf" list, but a celebration tailored to us. Communication with Chris leading up to our wedding was easy and he was always accommodating. In addition to a DJ (Karl) for the after dinner reception, Chris met our request for a live jazz trio for cocktail hour, and they were fabulous, creating exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. Karl did a wonderful job as DJ and party emcee. We and our guests had a blast. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

Chris was great to work with. He is funny, nice, and honest. He is very detailed and is clearly experienced. He made some awesome edits for us, and he was open to last minute changes without complaint. There were even a few secret dances and other surprises that he helped coordinate! He made ample time to discuss everything with us, and we felt confident in him. Our reception was amazing, and we couldn't have done it without him. Everyone was dancing all night. Highly recommend!

Chris is the best! I’m so glad he was our DJ. He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour and party music as well as the uplighting. He is super responsive to emails and calls, very flexible and knowledgeable about which songs are best for the different parts of your night and he was willing to meet us at the venue to discuss uplighting placement and colors which was so helpful! In addition, during our meetings Chris was so fun and energetic that my new husband and I want him to be our new best friend. We got so many compliments on him and had guests of all ages dancing all night!

I'm very type-A by nature and music was one of the highest items on my wedding to-do list. I Skyped and phone interviewed every DJ from northern Virginia to southern Pennsylvania looking for someone to play our reception on 4/21 in Kent Island, MD. The owner, Chris, was super laid-back and clearly knew what he was talking about when it came to music. He was honest and straightforward with me, and made recommendations about what decisions to make while also letting me call the final shots. He had just returned from a bridal show on the day I first called, so he said he would honor his previous week's offer of a discount on uplighting. I would've had no idea he had been at the bridal show the week prior as I was planning the wedding from out of state, so that really spoke to his level of honesty for me and ultimately, helped me decide to move forward with them. Chris cleared his schedule to meet with me when I was in the area right after Christmas and let me play with the lights in his office for two hours to decide what color uplighting I wanted; I still didn't love the final light color we landed on so he ordered some new lights he had been on the fence about and then let me come back for another two hours the week of the wedding to create the perfect light color. It looked amazing and was exactly what I had in mind! He also did perfect edits to all of our dances (first dance, father/daughter, mother/son) and called me the week before the wedding for an hour to go through the reception in 5-minute increments to make sure everything would go smoothly. Mario was our DJ on the day of and he was great. He called me the week before to practice pronouncing each of our wedding party members' names and also walked through our reception schedule minute-by-minute which he honored perfectly. Mario made the appropriate/timely announcements but otherwise, just let us dance, which was exactly what we wanted - none of the club-vibe call outs to get everyone on the dance floor, and no weird games. He played all the songs on my must-play list with some additional choices he made based on the vibe of the crowd and they were on point. Far and away the majority of the compliments we got after the wedding were about how great the music was. People are still gushing about how much fun the dance floor was and how sad they were when the night ended.
