About this vendor
Here at Candlelight Forest, we offer two unique wedding venues, The Homestead and Ridge Rose. While these two wedding venues are located on the same property, they are separated by the beautiful landscape at the foothill of Lookout Mountain. Privacy between these two venues is no problem and each venue offers a unique escape. We are located in Northwest Georgia in the Chattanooga Valley, just minutes from Downtown Chattanooga.
Ridge Rose
You and your guests will enjoy panoramic, breathtaking views of Lookout Mountain on this picturesque ridge and its landscaped green. A permanent gothic, high vaulted tent, referred to as Hickory Hall, is built using hickory oak trees that hold up the tent roof, and serves as the reception area. Hickory Hall's roof was handcrafted by the oldest tent makers in the US, originally circus tent makers in the 1800's. A fairy tale stone cottage finishes the collage of architectural wonder that sets this venue apart. For brides who love fairy tales, forests and beautiful views, this just might be the venue for you.
Facilities and Capacity
Hickory Hall accommodates up to 150 guests comfortably and includes a full catering kitchen and separate bathrooms for men and women.
The ceremony green is contiguous to the main entry of the hall and provides spectacular views over Candlelight Forest and upwards toward the highest point of famous Lookout Mountain. The view from the green is the choice site for the ceremony and is the number one reason couples choose Ridge Rose.
We believe a true commitment to the best wedding experience must also include a special and exclusive place for the bride and her bridesmaids to enjoy each other as they prepare throughout the day. As such, a most charming, storybook stone cottage sits off in the shade just a few steps from the green and is the perfect place for the bride to begin her memories. The stone cottage is an architectural backdrop that will beautify many photos taken as the bride exits the cottage and enters the green.
During the evening and on into the late night, sparkling lights hang over the green as well as from the highest points inside Hickory Hall, and are nothing short of magical.
Services Offered
Ridge Rose caters to all wedding events including bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, but mostly wedding ceremonies and receptions.
We have several trusted vendors who know the venue extremely well and can provide, at your option, a full package of all the remaining vendored services, including wedding coordination or wedding planning services.
The venue includes 5 handcrafted farm matching tables and an assortment of other items for you to enjoy at no cost. Included in the price of the rental are up to 150 chairs for both the ceremony and reception along with up to 15 round or rectangle tables.
The Homstead
The Homestead venue features a rural estate of three stately buildings: an Italianate estate home, a 150-year-old historic, hand-pegged Amish barn, and a ca

Had my wedding here in September 2026, overall was a wonderful experience. I got many compliments on the venue. They make it very easy to access the day prior / day of. Only proble...
ms we had was they did not let us keep our guest shuttles on site because they were "unaware" of them despite being told at our final walkthrough and one of the bar steps broke during reception! Despite these two instances, it was otherwise a pleasurable time!
We rented both venues for our daughters wedding. It is a beautiful setting with awful service. The wedding coordinator and property manager are two of the worst people I’ve ever wo...
rked with. They promised things they did not provide, they kept the groom and bridal families deposits with no explanation and seemed to work to make things more difficult the entire time. Please consider other options. When choosing a venue it is not worth the stress this people caused both families.
Excellent venue! We got married on 04/20/24 and couldn't have asked for a better venue. They were quick to answer and frequent communication leading up to the wedding. There are al...
so many places on the site where you can take photos. Very pleased with how it all turned out!
We got married at Ridge Rose on 11/12/22. The venue was very beautiful. It did get cold but they had an outdoor fire pit and we paid $150 to use the indoor patio heaters. Everythin...
g was as described. They had shuttles to move guests from lower parking and the package included tables and chairs for 150.
The Homestead was absolutely beautiful! Thanks to the help of Rachel, the venue coordinator, our day was executed flawlessly. Everyone talked about how unique the location was... i...
t’s like a hidden gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough! You also get to bring in all your own vendors.. which may be a little more work.. but saves lots of $$.
This was the best wedding venue ever ! It is a beautiful setting that is secluded yet has easy access from highways. Most of our guests were from the Atlanta area and this was an ...
easy travel for them. The barn is rustic and beautiful yet not farmlike. The outside ceremony we had was absolutely gorgeous in front of the Lake. But it was nice to know that the beautiful barn was a good backup if the weather was raining. The White House next to the barn provided a beautiful place for the bridal party to get ready and wait for the ceremony. Ramey is a godsend and held our hands for the entire year of planning. Her suggestions for vendors was spot-on especialky since none of us lived in the Chattanooga area. We were all totally pleased with this venue!!
We loved having our wedding at The Homestead. It was more beautiful than we could’ve wished and was the perfect place to celebrate with friends and family. Ramey was very responsiv...
e, helpful, informative and eager to please us. She is a great communicator. The venue is very laid back and has no restrictions on which vendors you choose. The barn is stunning and the view of the mountains provides a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Guests kept commenting on the beauty of the place. Compared to Nashville and Atlanta prices, we were able to keep wedding costs down at this venue and in the area. Ramey provided referrals for vendors. Our wedding was October 2018. We love the Homestead and would highly recommend it.
The Homestead at Cloudland Station was a dream venue for our rehearsal dinner & wedding! There are so many locations for different photos and the whole setting went along with the ...
rustic romance vibe I was going for. Definitely explore the property and see everything it has to offer. Ramey is the BEST!! She always responded right away and was absolutely wonderful to work with. I’m not even exaggerating - she’s amazing. My family and I also stayed in the 3 Airbnb options on the property the night before and night of the wedding, which made everything a breeze logistically. All of my guests were just as in love with the venue as we were. It was perfect!
We had our reception and wedding here. Our wedding was perfect and our reception was just as great! The venue gives you multiple options for reception locations. They could have 10...
0 weddings here and every single one could be unique in terms of location and views. That's what we loved about The Homestead. We were able to have the reception we wanted because of the diversity of their property. It is great!

utiful the venue was. The mountains, lake and an italianate farm house backdrop were just perfect for our style. The venue itself is so pretty that you hardly have to think much about additional decorations. It had a wide variety of places to take photos and to have the ceremony/reception. John and Ramey were very helpful and made our day run smooth. I highly recommend The Homestead for any occasion. Thank you John and Ramey for being so accommodating and working with me.
I had my wedding here this past month with 220 guests and it was gorgeous! The landscape was taken care of very well and the event space was clean. Ramey worked with me through all...
of the planning, answering quickly to any questions I had. She was very easy to work with and made the process smooth. On the day of the rehearsal we even noticed that there was a bee hive in one of the tress in the court yard. I called Ramey and she got someone to take care of it right away. I could compliment her all day! I would highly recommend having your wedding at this venue and working with Ramey.

y felt at home, making the day even more special. The barn, the main house, and the grounds are stunning, and our pictures turned out beautifully due to the gorgeous backdrop we were lucky enough to have.
I highly recommend the Station as a wedding venue or for anything else.
Our wedding was an absolute fairytale. The Homestead is a stunning venue, absolutely gorgeous at every angle. It's so unique and charming, but completely customizable to your style...
. We had our ceremony down at the edge of the pond, cocktail hour on the great lawn, and our reception in the Barn. We had my Bridesmaids' Brunch and spent the day getting ready in the Peacock House, which is adorable all on its own!
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone - the staff, the location, and the space will create a perfect day.
