When John and I got engaged, we knew we wanted to throw a party, but we’re also not your “traditional” bride & groom. We had the location (home), a headcount (120), and a band - o...
ther than that, we were clueless. And considering we were going to have to build a venue in our backyard, we knew we were going to need some help. Kim was one of the wedding planners I initially reached out to and we hit it off immediately on the phone! We met Kim at our home so that she could get a sense of the layout and our thoughts on the theme/vibe. In advance of the meeting, Kim had already done her homework - she brought information from her vendors and had some initial quotes for us. We signed with her that night because she was the most professional and prepared wedding planner we met. She was also as excited/enthusiastic about the party as we were. And most importantly she understood that we were really going for a “party”- not a traditional wedding - and wasn’t at all concerned about the fact that it was ONLY FOUR MONTHS AWAY!
Over the those next few months, Kim was INVALUABLE to me: she was able to direct me to vendors for invitations & photographers, handle all contract negotiation, meet us to finalize all the details around tablescapes and decorations, and run point with vendors on follow up. John and I were very clear about our budget and we actually came in UNDER the budgeted amount (thanks mostly to Kim’s contacts, negotiation skills, inventory of decorations, and creative solutions).
I joked that Kim probably should have just stayed at our house in the days leading up to the party. She was instrumental in set up - not only the tables and chairs, but also for the rest of the yard (imagine lights all over the back of the house, lounging areas - really just amazing stuff!). People (including our caterer) told us that we should rent out our home for other couples to get married there - THAT’S how fabulous it looked. And in terms of taking things off my plate…while Kim was at the house putting the most beautiful bohemian chic party together, I was getting a massage, then I went to lunch, met my sister for facials, and arrived back at my home to this magical wonderland. The morning of the party, Kim was back putting the final touches on…and I was out having my hair done. I can honestly tell you that I never ONCE worried about how everything would come out. I implicitly trusted Kim’s judgment and I can tell you that the complements came all night long (and I continue to receive them 2 months post-party).
During the party, Kim kept us all on track with the timing for the night, helped some of our older guests with parking, and generally made sure that the evening ran smoothly (which it did!). After the party, Kim was still there helping with clean-up and she was back again the next day to collect the things she left in our garage. John and I left for a small honeymoon and when we were back - it was as if none of this had ever happened. Kim supervised the removal of tents, tables, chairs, and trailers.
While I hope that this marriage lasts and I won’t need a wedding planner in the future…I’d absolutely ask Kim if she was up for it again! I would whole-heartedly recommend Kim - when I look back on that night, I can honestly sit here and tell you that I would not change a single thing. And I think that’s really the best that anyone can hope for when throwing a party of this size.

WRONG. Kim was UNBELIEVABLE from the beginning. She helped me get organized and kept me on track the entire time. She has the most keen attention to detail of anyone I've ever met, is always on time, always had great ideas of how to elevate what I wanted, kept me within budget and was genuinely fun to be around. She cared as much about making my wedding special as I did!
The day of my wedding, she was ON POINT. She kept things running perfectly and my wedding went off without a single hitch. You usually hear of how there are snags and you just have to go with it as the bride....not with Kim. Every single thing I wanted was done exactly as I'd envisioned it - she really went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled flawlessly and on time. This speaks to Kim and her incredible work behind the scenes to truly give you the perfect day/event.
Not only would I recommend Kim to anyone who has an event to plan (especially a wedding), she has become a friend throughout my planning process and I appreciate all her hard work, her amazing staff and her dedication to her craft. If you're looking for an A+ planner, look no further!

Kim did not stop for a second the day of the wedding while keeping her focus on us enjoying the day. She is highly professional, warm and personable with a great sense of humor. Kim has great relationships with various vendors, and her thoughtful recommendations for our other vendors all delivered one hundred percent. Kim was wonderful during the planning process - she kept me on track with budget documents and timelines, was my constant liaison with other vendors and the venue, reviewed all of my contracts, and went above and beyond to help me achieve the decor and feel I was going for. I was a bit of a Pinterest bride, and every single thing I loved, Kim helped me get my hands on. She had some decor items I was able to use, and she tracked down every other item I wanted as well. She even had an amazing etched wood welcome sign made that exactly matched the ones I'd been eyeing online. On the day-of, Kim made our lives SO stress-free. She was extremely organized and proactive and kept our rather large bridal party in line. I can't imagine going through the day of without Kim there. She definitely has a passion for planning weddings, she was so fun to work with, and her attention to detail and management style helped ensure the day went off without a hitch. ad a lot of money so I didn't consider a wedding planner when I was planning my wedding, but half way through it started to get overwhelming and my MOH suggested I find one. I called 2 planners and had just come back from meeting the first when I heard Kim's message. I knew then I would like her and I was right. I changed planners and am grateful and blessed everyday that I did. From day one Kim went above and beyond anything she needed to do. She took all my dreams and hopes to the most awesome and unimaginable places to help create the most breathtaking and memorable wedding I ever dared to dream was possible. Kim held my hand through my insecure moments, made every wish and desire a reality all the while she was taking each one to another beautiful level. She added her own touches to my expectations to make them even more amazing. She helped create my desire for an "eloquent" engagement party and then made my rehearsal dinner so special, down to creating the most touching menu. Kim's love for "her" brides, as she call them, is evident in every little detail of her planning. It's in her kind words and actions, and, more importantly, it in the spectacular touches that will help create the breathtaking beauty of your special day. My wedding would not have been as beautiful and breathtaking if Kim had not been in control of all the small details as the wedding date got closer. At the rehearsal she made the wedding party feel the excitement as she guided us through what was to come, as did her infectious laughter and silly comments helped the bridal party's nervous anticipation. My wedding was so breathtaking, I recall it often with such love and appreciation for all Kim did to make it a day that will be one of the most special events in my life. I can't reiterate enough how beautiful and memorable your wedding will be if you hire Cangiano Events to plan your dream wedding. Kim is the ultimate professional who will listen to your hearts wishes, make them sweeter than you can imagine, give you so much more than you ask for, take care of all your needs, reassure you every step of the way, make the process about your special day and will be there to step in when necessary to remind you that you are her priority and the beautiful bride-to-be. They were friends; it wasn't the normal planner-bride relationship. I wanted to be that bride and on October 18, I was!
Kim coordinated every detail of the day down to the timing and table settings. We knew where we had to be and when we had to be there. hought of every single detail in terms of a couple's day-of timeline, down to the drinks the bride and groom with have as they arrive at their venue or head to their reception. She is always calm, cool, and collective and has such a great, up-beat personality. My guests couldn't stop raving about her and how wonderful she was. She is extremely organized and knew exactly the style I was going for. She would e-mail or call me throughout the planning process with ideas of stylistic things she saw and thought I would love. She even purchased a chandelier to be used in the ballroom a few weeks before as she knew I would love it. She truly wants her bride and groom to have the best day and is always making sure they are taken care of and happy (which is amazing!). She even texted me the morning of my wedding saying that she was so excited for me to see the ballroom as she knew I would love the final product. I truly cannot say enough about Kim! Kimberly got back to me on my inquiry quickly and spent nearly half-a-day going through all my details and managing my father in preparation. She calmed my dad and made sure he and my family were taken well care of on the big day. Any last minute whims I had, including internet orders and a last minute chair and linen order were done instantly and with a perfect eye for my very picky style. Not to mention, it was supposed to rain the day of the wedding, and if I didn't know better I would be convinced she played a role in talking Mother Nature out of it. She was an advocate, leader, and friend all at once. I recommend her to anyone and everyone who wants their perfect pinterest wedding. No matter how organized, creative, and good at coordinating you are, you should really consider hiring this gem of an event planner. Her prices were by far the best and I would never have been able to be so stress free at my wedding without her. She went so very far above and beyond and made my day so perfect.
