Mistakes happen, and I appreciated the honesty. Our venue asked if we could wait a couple of days before making a final decision while watching the weather, and Cantele agreed. When we ultimately decided we still needed the smaller tent, I asked whether they would consider an additional discount given the significant inconvenience their mistake had caused. Instead, James refused, said waiving the $100 delivery fee was sufficient, became argumentative, told me he “didn’t have time for this,” threatened to cancel our order altogether, and hung up on me. He ultimately refused to do business with us, leaving us without a tent option just two days before our wedding. The initial mistake was unfortunate, but the way it was handled was far more disappointing. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable—we were simply looking for a solution that acknowledged the stress, extra work, and uncertainty their mistake created. Instead, we were left scrambling to find an alternative at the last minute. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having to worry that a vendor may refuse to honor even a revised agreement just days before your event. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Cantele Tents.
