Sometimes from my experience, wedding vendors do not dress to the occasion and I appreciated her caring enough to do so. And who isn’t enthralled when an artist brings a canvas to life?! She has such talent! And she is so gracious when approached about her work while she is painting. She will communicate with you as much as you need to before and after as well. She also ensured the bride and groom were onboard with her vision of the painting. As the mother of the bride to watch your family being painted on the most special of days is something I strongly encourage you to do. Although weddings are expensive and this certainly is an “extra” you will not regret hiring Talia. When I saw the finished painting it brought tears to my eyes. The painting is alive with color and movement. Zero regrets on this decision!

n even more memorable experience. When we stumbled upon Talia Garcia (@canvasandconfetti) on Instagram, we knew that a live painter, and specifically Talia, was EXACTLY what and who we NEEDED! I instantly fell in love with Talia’s work and poured through her Instagram for well over an hour before reaching out to her. Her romantic, slightly abstract style of painting makes her work even more beautiful than a traditional painting. And the fact that she does it all ON THE SPOT is truly unbelievable/incredible/awe-inspiring! Even before our wedding, I knew I needed Talia’s work in my home. We commissioned a watercolor version of one of our favorite engagement photos from her, as well as a watercolor version of a photo of my aunt and I for a gift. And let me tell you, when she shipped our engagement painting to us, UPS lost it in the mail (classic UPS) and SHE PAINTED A WHOLE NEW ONE FOR US. Her art takes time, and she spent it on us when the loss of the painting was not in the slightest her fault. When it came to our wedding, Talia and I discussed exactly what part of the wedding we wanted her to pain (the ceremony), and she showed up well over an hour in advance to begin painting the landscape and background so that way it could be dry enough to paint the people during the ceremony came. I truly wish I could have just watched her paint the entire time. Her talent is truly breathtaking. We got SO many compliments about what an amazing idea it was and so many people enjoyed admiring her work during the cocktail hour as she finished the small details. And I mean it when I say she got the small details, down to the flowers in my hair and the back piece on my dress! And one of my most favorite parts, and something that is so special to me and will make me cherish our painting even more than I thought I possibly could, she allowed my two beautiful flower girls to make a few strokes on the paintings to leave their mark. I will never forget that. Even after the wedding day was over, less than 2 days later, on Instagram, Talia surprised us with a little video she had compiled of clips from our wedding and made a highlight reel including clips from our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception setup, etc. This was the very first time we had seen ANY clips or photos from our wedding and I cried in the cabana we were in on our minimoon. Talia has become like a friend over the past two years and I can guarantee that this will not be the last time I buy a piece of her art. She is a beautiful soul, and for anyone reading this, if you have even the slightest inkling of interest in having a live painter and you live or are getting married in the South Florida/Florida Keys area – DO IT! You will NOT be disappointed! And for those of you who are not getting married in the area, she does commissions as well!!!
