We booked a DJ months in advance, but unfortunately he had a personal issue come up the week of our wedding and had to cancel. He recommended we reach out to Dave and despite havin...
g less than a week to prepare, Dave delivered an amazing night of music and dancing. He arrived early, set-up was seamless, and his playlist was incredible, including songs that we had asked for and a few from his personal vault that were also crowd favorites.
My wife and I found Dave communicative, professional, and easy to work with despite our unique circumstances. Most importantly, the dance floor was an absolute blast and packed all night.
Dave playing maracas while everyone danced to Robyn is one of the enduring images of our wedding. Highly recommend!
I do not recommend, for the following reasons:
1. Poor communication. After numerous phone calls and emails, we still had mispronounced names and poor song selections at the recep...
tion. Additionally, after booking and sending the deposit, I received an email two months later asking if I still needed services ... Not a vote of confidence.
2. Unprofessional setup. My ceremony started late due to a late arrival and unprofessional setup. We were all lined up and ready to go, and had to wait until the DJ setup was complete and ready to go. Had quite a few guests ask me what happened. Additionally, the music was messed up during the ceremony as he failed to play the bride professional song following the coordinators cue, leaving a large gap in the ceremony where the music was playing and no one was moving. It gave the ceremony a disjointed feeling and was not ideal.
3. Flat reception. There's really no other way to describe it. Even with requested songs submitted prior to, few were played. After agreeing that any further song requests during the reception would go through the bride or groom, numerous songs were requested by guests to the DJ with no checks and played immediately. Additionally, the DJ exclaimed "pick up the bride!!" during a photo, which was not appreciated or professional.
Speaking with the event coordinator , she agreed the DJ seemed to be having an off day as he had been at the venue before and had smoother times. Having a different DJ is in my top three "what I would change", thus resulting in my review.
Thank you to Mr. Santos who did an outstanding job! The day of our wedding was pretty chaotic but he made our lives easier by communicating with the venue. The music for the ceremo...
ny was beautiful, and when the reception came no one left the dance floor the whole night. Thanks again for an amazing night!!

ape Party Makers!
Dave was so accommodating with all of the switches we had to make during our planning process. He was great at rolling with the punches and knew how to read the crowd. We gave him ...
a few game options to play incase the crowd seemed bored since we couldn't dance with the restrictions. He did a great job spreading out the trivia we made (no one wants their wedding to feel like bar trivia night) but decided against the other games because everyone was entertained with other things and he didn't want to ruin the flow, we truly appreciated this. He was perfect for the wedding and adapted on the fly. We only met on the phone before the wedding but he still managed to understand our vision "musically" for the wedding. I can't say enough good things about him, choose him as your DJ!
Dave was great for our wedding! Very laid back, played a fun selection of music that had every one on the dance floor all night! He was easy to work with and the website they have ...

ey wanted to hear without messing up the vibe. He had the perfect playlist, I hardly had to do anything. Everyone has been raving all weekend about how amazing the DJ was. Big thanks to Cape Party Makers for the best night of my life!
Dave DJ'ed our wedding on 10/10/15 (for 6.5 hours), and did a fantastic job of moving the evening along. The setup and ceremony music were well-timed, and Dave made sure to provide...
a casual, fun atmosphere (as we had requested). After dinner, the dancing began and thanks to his excellent song selection, the party kept going until it was time to leave the venue. Several guests commented that they had never been a wedding with such great dancing music - success!
Dave is a kind and calm person who was very pleasant to work with. He also always returned our phonecalls within a day, and his online website was ideal for wedding planning/song coordinating.
We highly recommend Cape Party Makers - a wonderful experience (and excellent value).
Wonderful DJ. Flexible, professional, and helpful. Great online website for song reguests, etc.
Traveling from out of the area, my wife and I were extremely nervous about choosing vendors. Music is a huge priority for us and the DJ can make or break the event.
Sean was th...
e consummate professional from the day we walked into his office. He worked with our style, priorities and spent time getting to know us so that he could help create the perfect event.
We loved the high-tech website where we could listen to examples online and pick our favorites on the fly.
Sean and AMS have connections to other add-ons such as lighting, furniture and music for the ceremony. He was able to pull some strings and get a baby grand piano for the reception.
The day of the ceremony, Sean took the reigns of the schedule and was in constant communication with my wife and I, and flexed to cover some of the inevitable snafus.
I couldn't recommend Sean and his team more.
"Thanks for making our reception unforgettable, Sean!"

Dave knows how to keep people entertained and involved, the centerpiece game was a resounding success bringing everyone to tears with laughter. He comes highly recommended.
