e in great hands. His pre-planning form was direct and easy to complete, and he paid close attention to our must-play songs, first dance timing, and the overall vibe we wanted for the night. Scott’s energy (and wardrobe!) were fantastic, and he kept the celebration fun from start to finish. We also rented uplighting through Cape Tunes, which made such a statement in the venue, and a photo booth that completely stole the show with our guests! Scott made the entire process easy, brought great energy to the wedding, and truly understood the atmosphere we were going for. We had a smaller wedding of 30, and was the perfect balance of intimate and fun! We couldn’t have been happier!

ate to hire him specifically again for an event. Before the big day, Cape Tunes worked with me to make sure the music fit exactly what I wanted and what my guests would enjoy. Our DJ Eric delivered a slam dunk when it came to reading the room and knowing just what to play. He was professional and punctual. Cape Tunes was incredibly easy to work with throughout the whole process. When we arrived at the reception, Eric calmly and professionally guided us through our entrance based on the form I had filled out ahead of time. It was such a relief to have him managing the flow. He did a fantastic job and made everything feel seamless. As a bride, I really didn’t have to worry or micromanage anything about the process which felt so relieving on what was an exciting but stressful day. I also really appreciated that the music volume was perfect. It was never too loud, and I’m sure he would have happily adjusted it if I had wanted anything different. The background music during dinner was exactly what I had hoped for and matched my preferences beautifully. The dance floor was hopping all night. There wasn't one moment where no one was on the dance floor. Eric did a great job on keeping it lively and active! We also booked the photo booth and uplighting through Cape Tunes. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests, and the uplighting made the venue look gorgeous. Toward the end of the night, I asked if the photo booth could be taken down last so we could grab more pictures, and Eric was more than happy to accommodate us. In the end, Cape Tunes was truly fantastic. They really know what they’re doing, and they helped make our wedding day feel polished, fun, and unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend!

y going by switching between many genres of music, including our must play songs, so all guests were happy. The most memorable part of the night was when he played our first dance song again at the end of the evening. Our guests made a circle around us and we did our first dance for a second time surrounded by our loved ones, less nervous, and full of love! We didn’t plan this and it was such a fun surprise. The photo booth add on is a must do. We did the option where guests get a strip and we got a flash drive of all the photos. What I didn’t realize is that the attendant also kept a strip from each use and put them all in a book for us which ended up being a beloved keepsake and memory of the evening!

They matched their lights to our decor perfectly and created the perfect vibe for cocktail hour and dinner! We were a little disappointed when it came to the dance floor and instead of playing our list of requested songs the DJ did her own thing and only played 4 of our songs, 3 of which weren’t plated until most of our guests were gone. At the end of the day it was a great night and everyone had a wonderful time, we do just wish the DJ payed more attention to our requests!

got everybody on the dance floor including the staff, we loved it. He was happy to take numerous requests from guest throughout the night and had no trouble locating and playing often I imagine quite obscure requests as we were a multi generation party visiting from the UK. Absolutely recommend, a gent, what a guy, what a legend!

id, “so you’re Filipino, what part of the Philippines are you from.” I responded that I am from San Francisco, and clarified that my ethnicity is Filipino. He then replied, “oh okay, because my ex-wife was Filipino and she’s from Bohol.” The comment felt highly inappropriate in that setting and made me very uncomfortable on what was supposed to be my wedding day. His strange approach and assumptions came out of nowhere as the first encounter with the DJ, it was really awkward and strange. To be talking about your ex-wife to the bride on her wedding day, so many red flags and just highly inappropriate. Throughout the night, no guests requested songs because the company's website strongly discouraged it, so we made a point to respect that. The only request made all evening was mine, to switch a song I didn't like, but the DJ ignored it and played it through anyway. Throughout the reception, there were also multiple awkward transitions, restarted songs, and a disjointed flow. Having worked around professional DJs at CBS Radio in San Francisco for five years, the performance came across as inexperienced. The music felt like a generic wedding playlist rather than a thoughtfully mixed set, with abrupt transitions that frequently disrupted the energy on the dance floor. We were also disappointed that the DJ we met with, DJ Keith, was replaced without any notice. The DJ who arrived wore very casual attire despite our formal dress code, and his overly energetic MC style did not fit the intimate atmosphere we had planned. He could not read the room. We booked Cape Tunes based on our consultation with DJ Keith, so sending someone else without informing us felt misleading. Had they communicated the change, we may have made a different decision. Instead, we felt like we paid for one service but received another, and the company's lack of response afterward only reinforced that feeling. That left me feeling misled, as the service we were promised and expected was not the service that was actually provided, I truly felt scammed, and we have not heard back from them at all for weeks. After the wedding, we reached out to ask why we were assigned a different DJ without notice, but weeks later we still have not received a response. Their lack of communication, combined with emails that were never signed with a name, was highly unprofessional and made it impossible to know who we were communicating with. Overall, we are leaving a 2-star review because we understand this experience may not reflect every DJ on the team. However, the DJ we received and the company's handling of our concerns afterward were both 0-star experiences. The lack of communication, professionalism, and any effort to make things right only reinforced our disappointment. In the end, they didn't even try to make it right, which only reinforced our disappointment with the entire experience.

We received countless compliments throughout the night, with so many people telling us how amazing Scott was. He truly helped make our wedding an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Cape Tunes and especially Scott for anyone looking for an outstanding wedding DJ!

e hoped to create. While the DJ was professional and the setup itself was fine, many of the songs we specifically requested were not played, which was a letdown. We went up to him a total of 5 times requesting he stick to the provided recommended list. It wasn’t until the last 10 minutes of our wedding was when he went back to the recommended songs we spent months carefully selecting and choosing. It was the multiple hours we invested in choosing the music we wanted for our big day… Music sets the tone for such a big moment, and we wish there had been more attention paid to the preferences we shared ahead of time. We understand that not every request can always fit, but clearer communication and better alignment with our music choices would have made a big difference.

Glad to see so many people had positive experiences with Cape Tunes—unfortunately, we did not. They mishandled things and made crucial mistakes on our wedding day. We reached out to them directly afterward to make these concerns known, and they never responded; not one word of an apology or even an acknowledgment. Complete radio silence. They must think their good reputation means they don’t need to provide good customer service. Based on our experience we do not recommend Cape Tunes for your wedding/event.

He kept the good vibes going for cocktail hour, and my only disappointment was not being physcially there to enjoy more of his set. We absoutely loved having live music as a part of our day. Now Scott, he had a tough act to follow after Pat and not to mention our family loves to party, but is picky to what. However, Scott brought the energy ALL NIGHT LONG. My family started a conga line song one and the energy kept going from there! Honestly, wish we had his set list because I would love to create that energy for any get-together. We laughed, we danced, we cried. It was perfect. 10/10 would recommend hiring Cape Tunes for your next event (and get the photo booth, you won't be disappointed).

It also meant so much to us how thoughtful he was to make sure that everyone, especially our family and friends from abroad, felt included and had songs they know and love to dance to. The communication leading up to and on the day of was all seamless. Jared even took videos and pictures for us and will be sending those to us to keep, which is such an unexpected surprise. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone especially those looking for a lot of dancing!
