We are a family owned and operated business. Everything we do is a team effort. No one person is responsible for our success or for the outcome of your wedding cake and confections. We all love what we do and we put our whole heart and soul into baking your dreams come true. From the moment you meet with our Events Director, to the final artistic masterpiece being delivered to your venue, your cake is the most important thing we do that day. You become part of our CCC family when you choose us to make your cake, and as part of our family you get our best care and attention. You win with us!

e! They were familiar with my grandparents and not my fiance and I at the time, but they were so very warm and had such clear and amazing communication from beginning through the delivery! The tastings were great, and the final product was the same taste as the tastings; so that was appreciated. They adhered to the type that we were looking for and brought what I saved in Pinterest as inspos to life! They communicated what they needed in order to make the designs ahead of time and made recommendations for how much cake was necessary for the amount of guests attending, they coordinated with my florist vender to make the added live florals happen, the delivery was seemless and I didn't know it happened until I saw the cake be set out by the wedding planner we had (Which was great). My now husband and I along with our guests were very pleased and will continue buying cupcakes from them here on out!

City Cakes hosted an amazing tasting for my now husband and I to try their best sellers and any requested flavors. They provided so many wonderful options it was so hard to choose, and we discovered we didn’t have to! Capital City offers sheet cakes for an affordable add on prices, which allowed us to have multiple options for our guests. Everyone loved being able to choose different flavors at our reception. They were easy to work with, accommodated my cake coloring requests (a very deep peacock blue color) and they offer an anniversary cake on your first anniversary so you can have a fresh cake to celebrate a year later. Overall we had a 10/10 experience with Captial City Cakes and will definitely use their services again for future celebrations.

The week of the wedding, Sue called to be sure she had all of the correct details and timing, and on the day of the wedding, we were so delighted by the final results! VER know it. Stunning cake. We sent them a few photos just from Google searching a few “ideas” and off they went! We met them over a beer for tasting samples of cake and icing and couldn’t be more pleased with the variety of options they had and customization. We did this really good chocolate mixed with raspberry which I never would have thought of. The cherry on top was the day of. They brought the cake from grove city to downtown Columbus, delivered it and set up completely hassle free. We just had to specify where in our venue the cake would need to be and that was it. Huge load of stress off of us on our big day. I’m writing this after a year of reflection on our 1 year anniversary. They gave us a free, fresh cake topper (quite large for the two of us actually!) as an anniversary gift to us based off of what our cake was last year. Sweetest staff. Please use them for your wedding; for a local “small” business, they have this wedding thing down pat, you won’t be disappointed!

One thing I specifically loved was that we were told not to save our top layer but to call within a week of our first anniversary and Capital City will remake our top layer to enjoy fresh on our first anniversary! I just thought that was the sweetest thing, nobody wants year-old frozen cake anyways!
The cake is so moist and the frosting is light and fluffy. They do set up and decorate the cake for you, the day of which is awesome! We received so many compliments from both the guests and our venue staff on the cake. I'm already looking forward to swinging by the bakery soon for a cupcake. If you're looking for a baker, look no further! Capital City is PERFECT!
