You will not regret booking Capital City Soul for your wedding day!!!
They were amazing, my guests never left the dance floor and we all wished the night didn’t have to end. The booking process was so easy and communication was excellent when it was time to plan our timeline for the reception.

Capital City Soul was referred to us by other wedding vendors when we did not know where to start when looking for a band! We were able to see them play at Red Stick Social before our wedding and WOW! We knew we picked the right band for our wedding day. The entire 8 piece band was amazing and Chris knew exactly how to keep the dance floor packed! They played a huge part in us having the wedding reception of our dreams!

Wow. I don’t know how better to describe it other than my 72-year old mother-in-law boogied all darn night. And so did virtually every single other person at our 4-hour reception. If I’m telling the truth, Capital City Soul was the fourth band we called to host our wedding, but my wife, all of our guest, and I uniformly agree we could not have had better luck. This is perhaps one of the most impressive live event bands I’ve ever seen. Their talent is outshined only by their enthusiasm. We provided practically no guidance for the set list—asking only that they play dance music. They nailed it. At a ~55 person wedding, the dance floor was always happening.
I should note that if you’ve watched their videos on their website: their live performance blows those recordings out of the water.
Do you, your family, and your closest friends a favor and book this band. You wont regret it.

Short answer - BOOK THEM! People are still talking about our wedding thanks to Capital City Soul. Chris was so sweet and easy to work with! They provided outdoor equipment for our ceremony which was a big help and something I didn’t initially think about when having the ceremony outdoor and reception indoor. Most venues do not have equipment for outside. Back to the important part - the singing, the energy, the song lineup was AMAZING and PERFECTION. Definitely the best night of our lives and we’re so happy we booked them!

Capital City Soul is the BEST! They sounded amazing and kept the party going all night! It was so much fun to watch our friends and families going to town on the dance floor! They are energetic and fun and their crowd interaction is amazing. Chris is so personable and easy to work with. We are thrilled that they were part of our special day! We can't wait to find a place to see them perform again soon!

Capital City Soul kept it rocking all night at our wedding reception! From the moment we walked in all the way to the exit - this crew knew how to keep the party going. Their great mix of genres and crowd interaction kept everyone on the dancefloor (shoutout to the horns section). Chris was so easy to communicate with and receptive to any ideas/changes we had. We are so thankful we chose them for our big day and would absolutely recommend them!

If you're looking for a night to ditch your high heels and not leave the dance floor this is the band for you! The wedding reception that I saw Capital City Soul perform at was the most fun I've had in ages! They were personable, quirky, and loved seeing their guests with their hands up, having a blast.
I was also really impressed by how many different generes they had up their sleeve.
I will be highly recommending Capital City Soul to anyone that will listen!

We heard about Capital City Soul from a friend, went see them play at Red Stick Social and booked them for our September 2022 wedding before we even had a venue, haha! My one and only request for our wedding was live music and Capital City Soul definitely delivered a fun night for all. Chris is easy to work with and made sure to make our night groovy as ever. The band even agreed to learn a special request song that my groom and I bop to on the best of nights - “You dropped a bomb on me.” Highly recommend, book now!!

Capital City Soul should be your GO TO band for your wedding or any special event! Not only was Chris great to work with, he made the process so easy and effortless. Everyone had the best night and they made or special day even more amazing! Any request we had was fulfilled and we had the best time dancing the night away! 10/10 would recommend! Capital City Soul is THE band that you want for your wedding or any event!! The second we booked them we knew we made the right choice! Chris was so personal and called my husband and I to discuss pricing, song choices and different instrument options. If we had any questions I would email or text and within 24 hours we had a response. We even went and saw them play at Red Stick Social before the wedding. They were so nice to us and made sure we were having a great time! Capital City Soul went right along with the vibe of our reception and sounded GREAT! If you want a band that is personal, will interact with the crowd, and sound spectacular BOOK Capital City Soul!

Capital City Soul was AMAZING! I am a music therapist and was very picky in choosing the right band for the wedding, and They exceeded my expectations. All the guests loved them and raved about the band for weeks after the wedding. From the get go, the lead singer, Chris, was super fast and friendly at communicating and made the whole experience a breeze and stress free which is so great because as a bride you have a million things to worry about. He was always on top of replying to any questions or concerns right away. He was flexible and accommodating to song requests I had and just willing to work with me to make my dream wedding come true. They are all so talented and great at a wide variety of musical genres. I cannot recommend them enough!

Capital City Soul is the answer to your wedding band needs. Chris is great to work with and the band created the fun, upbeat, electric atmosphere we were looking for at our reception! I love the variety of male and female vocals and the horns really add a cool flair. They even did our second line for our exit down 3rd street in Baton Rouge! We were told by guests all night how incredible the band was and how much they enjoyed them! They are a must have at your reception!

I am the father of the bride, so i'm the guy who hired and paid the band. This was my third daughter to get married, so i have some experience in this area. Chris and the band were super easy to work with. They sent us a playlist. We liked many of the songs, but asked them if they could add about 20 of our songs that were not on the list (4 hours of music, so lot's of songs). They added practically every one of them and they sounded like they had been playing them for years. Everybody danced all night long. The dance floor was full of people in their 20's 30's and 60's. everyone raved about the band. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We were having so much fun that I asked the manager of the event location if i could pay the band to play for another hour--unfortunately our party permit time had expired and it couldn't be done. Next time I'll have to get a longer permit and hire them for 5 hours.

If you’re looking for a wedding band, look no further-and book them now!! They are truly phenomenal and made our wedding day. I can’t tell you how many people came up to me that night and continue to come up to me to this day to tell me how amazing the band was. Everyone was out on the dance floor having the best time due to their great Setlist, amazing interaction with the crowd, unparalleled energy, and next level vocals. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better band for our special day. 100/10!

We saw this band play at a friends wedding! We had SUCH a great time at their reception that we had to have them play at our wedding! Having Capital City Soul was hands down the best part of our reception! We knew they were going to be fantastic, but a few things that cannot be overlooked is now responsive, personable, professional, and easy they made things for me and my husband in the weeks and months leading up to our wedding! Chris answered every question we had and even brought up things things we could do that added SO much to our reception experience. Their music selection, vocals, harmonies, and musicianship is second to none! I will spread the word and recommend Capital City Soul to any and every one!

I saw this band playing a venue in downtown Baton Rouge, and I immediately looked at my husband (fiancé at the time) and said we HAVE to have them at our wedding. And it was hands down the best decision we made! They were so interactive with our guests, and everyone was in the dance floor the entire time! Their pricing is reasonable and TOTALLY worth it! We got married at the end of 2020 and we still talk about how much fun we had on our wedding day! And without a doubt, Capital City Soul is one of the biggest reasons why! I would 10/10 recommend them if you’re looking for an amazing band for your wedding!

I came across this band on Instagram.. after watching just one video I booked and have zero regrets! AMAZING! Very interactive with the crowd and such a great variety of music. I had multiple people call and text me the next day just to talk about how great y’all were! We never left the dance floor the whole night! Thank you guys for making our night so memorable! Capital City Soul Thank, Thank, Thank you so much for adding to our wedding night. We planned so much for the wedding and at the end of the night Ali and I looked at each other and said that was GREAT! We had an amazing time dancing to the wonderful music- and loved watching our friends and family out there cutting the rug- hardly any one could stay in their seats- but those who did loved the wonderful performance of your band working together and having fun!
