Capitol Florist

I brought in pictures to the florist and she quickly understood what look I was going for. The bouquets were beautiful!

I was pretty laid back about what flowers we had for our bouquets and boutonnieres- I don't really know much about flowers or have favorites. I worked with Marinka, told her how much I would like to spend, and what I needed. I actually didn't even see the flowers until the day before when we picked them up (We got married on a Sunday). They were beautiful!!!! Just exactly what I wanted- at $150 less then the max budget I gave her!! They lasted for several days after the wedding, and still were gorgeous!

Cynthia's display baskets framing the wedding ceremony were amazing and very reasonable - full of reds and whites, spraying lots of different textures that perfectly framed the bride, all in white, and the groom in his 2 button tux with silver vest and tie. Each bud red rose for bouts was fresh and bright, and the mixed reds and whites of the bridesmaid's bouquets were a generous size for the mid level price range quoted. The all white bride's bouquet was filled with roses that perfectly complemented the dress and fit my daughter's hand perfectly. The only thing I wished I had asked about before was the size of the orchids for the moms, grandmas, and other special family. We assumed they were the traditional larger size orchid, but it turned out they were the smaller dendrobium orchids. This was a minor communication issue for which no one is really at fault - the lesson is to always ask to see the type of flower being suggested if it has an unfamiliar name. The tiny, white orchids were delicate, beautiful, and fragrant, but much smaller than we had envisioned. In the end though, I think my mom was the only one who noticed, so we would highly recommend this Olympia florist as reasonable, creative, and talented. Also, as requested, the flowers were packed with foam and paper and held in vases, so we were able to safely transport them from Olympia to Seattle the morning of the wedding.

I loved working with these girls! I brought in photo's and a clear plan of exactly what I wanted (and exactly what I was willing to pay for it) and they sat with me and worked out EVERYTHING. My flowers were EXACTLY what I wanted and when we were getting a little worried about the budget they came up with some pretty creative ideas to get what we wanted and still make our budget! They were WONDERFUL!
