If you are looking for a perfect brewery for your wedding, look no further than Captain Lawrence! From start to finish, our experience was excellent. We loved that catering was inc...
luded in our package, which made planning a breeze. On our wedding day, the ceremony space reception areas were beautiful, and the food and drink were excellent and with lots of variety. Their event manager, Katie, was a dream to work with throughout the entire process, always responding to our emails and questions promptly and managing any issue efficiently. She provided us with a list of recommended vendors, such as the DJ we ended up booking, which was also very helpful. The service staff on the day of our wedding were also attentive, gracious and fun to spend the day with. Many of our guests said that it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to, and we agree!
We could not have asked for a better experience! The staff knew exactly how to make our day perfect! We looked at a wide range of venues and decided on Captain Lawrence after talki...
ng to Katie and we just felt like we were in the best hands and boy were we right! The food was amazing, the drinks were perfect, and everything was just lovely!!!!!
My Husband and I knew that we wanted to get married at a Brewery- CLBC was the first, and only, venue we toured. We had a small list of venues, but after seeing the space and chat...
ting with Katie, the venue's event coordinator, we knew there was no where else we would rather get married.
Katie is one of the most communicative and organized people I have ever worked with, and made our wedding day so special from start to finish. The food is amazing (several of our guests were raving about the corn bread and BBQ the next day). The venue family friendly, we had several kids ranging from 2 months to 4 years old in attendance.
We could not have chosen a more perfect venue, and definitely encourage anyone looking for laid back atmosphere with great food and drinks to host their wedding at Captain Lawrence. Our goal was to have as much fun as possible, and thanks to the staff's organization, that was definitely achieved.
I also should note that they venue's proximity to NYC was a huge plus for us, as we live in Manhattan and had many people just coming up for the day. We'll definitely be back for dinner and drinks in the future!
Captain Lawrence was the first and only venue my, now, husband and I looked at after we got engaged. We knew right away we wanted to have our wedding there and we were not disappoi...
nted. Every single person we worked with were super professional and amazing. The staff were always so nice when we came to meet with Katie, the events coordinator, who made the entire process seamless. The fact that the ceremony went completely smoothly without a hitch when we didn't go over it until that day speaks for itself about how professional they are. The food and, of course, drinks, were beyond amazing! Captain Lawrence gave us the perfect wedding day! We couldn't recommend them more highly! We can't wait to celebrate our first anniversary and many more there!
Everything from the second we started communicating with CLBC was amazing. Each person was nicer than the last. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. We got so many...
compliments on everything!

lways). The brewery was set up beautifully and was such an intimate space. Our day was everything we could’ve imagined and more!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Captain Lawrence and it was the best decision we could have made. We didn't want a stuffy, up tight event and this was perfect! The foo...
d, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic! The staff was very attentive and gracious from day one. Our friends were talking about having their own weddings there as well.
We could not have been happier with this venue for our reception. The staff was so great and so fun, and made sure we were never without our drink of choice (one bartender even mad...
e me a makeshift limeade because I was so dehydrated from dancing). We had about 125 guests and it was the perfect size. They let us bring their cornhole and giant Jenga games into the side barrel room, which was a perfect option for those who didn't want to dance but also didn't want to just sit there. They work with a decorator in Pleasantville who brings in drapes and lighting that make it look really amazing, and the one thing I wished we'd done differently was get his pricing earlier in the process -- the total cost ended up being totally reasonable, but it would have been nice to have that bigger financial picture earlier on. But that was just our procrastinating, not a reflection on the venue. We really appreciated that the manager was willing to work with us on all the (sometimes rapidly evolving) ideas we had, and the best thing about this venue is you can really make it your own. We knew we wanted a big party, but we weren't interested in checking off all the typical wedding boxes, and this venue doesn't make you feel like you're doing it wrong if you do it your own way. I would definitely recommend it for people looking for a unique, laid-back venue.
As craft beer lovers, Captain Lawrence was the absolute perfect location for our wedding (though you do not need to love craft beer, they have wine and liquors on site as well). Th...
e event manager, Aaron, was so flexible and available - it took him about an hour to get back to us with every email. In fact, we emailed him about looking at the venue on a Thursday and he accommodated us by letting us view it that Friday. Every vendor he put us in contact with was professional and did an incredible job. Captain Lawrence and Aaron were so wonderful and we could not have imagined a more perfect place for our reception. The huge tasting room was available for our guests during cocktail hour and throughout the reception with a decorated bar and barrels for guests to sit at. The actual brewery looked incredible and was decorated by Y Design Events who Captain Lawrence works with exclusively (and we get why - our guests were amazed at the transformation from brewery to wedding reception). We have gotten so many compliments on the brewery since the wedding! We highly recommend Captain Lawrence as an amazing wedding reception location (you can also do the ceremony on site) and as a brewery!
