Our wedding day was the best day ever! Amanda and Erin at captain Lawrence worked tirelessly to make this day everything we wanted. The food was fantastic, the beer was great (as always). The brewery was set up beautifully and was such an intimate space. Our day was everything we could’ve imagined and more!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Captain Lawrence and it was the best decision we could have made. We didn't want a stuffy, up tight event and this was perfect! The food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic! The staff was very attentive and gracious from day one. Our friends were talking about having their own weddings there as well.

We could not have been happier with this venue for our reception. The staff was so great and so fun, and made sure we were never without our drink of choice (one bartender even made me a makeshift limeade because I was so dehydrated from dancing). We had about 125 guests and it was the perfect size. They let us bring their cornhole and giant Jenga games into the side barrel room, which was a perfect option for those who didn't want to dance but also didn't want to just sit there. They work with a decorator in Pleasantville who brings in drapes and lighting that make it look really amazing, and the one thing I wished we'd done differently was get his pricing earlier in the process -- the total cost ended up being totally reasonable, but it would have been nice to have that bigger financial picture earlier on. But that was just our procrastinating, not a reflection on the venue. We really appreciated that the manager was willing to work with us on all the (sometimes rapidly evolving) ideas we had, and the best thing about this venue is you can really make it your own. We knew we wanted a big party, but we weren't interested in checking off all the typical wedding boxes, and this venue doesn't make you feel like you're doing it wrong if you do it your own way. I would definitely recommend it for people looking for a unique, laid-back venue.

As craft beer lovers, Captain Lawrence was the absolute perfect location for our wedding (though you do not need to love craft beer, they have wine and liquors on site as well). The event manager, Aaron, was so flexible and available - it took him about an hour to get back to us with every email. In fact, we emailed him about looking at the venue on a Thursday and he accommodated us by letting us view it that Friday. Every vendor he put us in contact with was professional and did an incredible job. Captain Lawrence and Aaron were so wonderful and we could not have imagined a more perfect place for our reception. The huge tasting room was available for our guests during cocktail hour and throughout the reception with a decorated bar and barrels for guests to sit at. The actual brewery looked incredible and was decorated by Y Design Events who Captain Lawrence works with exclusively (and we get why - our guests were amazed at the transformation from brewery to wedding reception). We have gotten so many compliments on the brewery since the wedding! We highly recommend Captain Lawrence as an amazing wedding reception location (you can also do the ceremony on site) and as a brewery!
