eeded one...I thought how hard could planning a celebration be??? Well, I quickly realized that I needed help if I was going to get married within the 9 month period that me and my husband decided on. I have heard horror stories about how planners take your money and do not provide the services they promise, well I will say Captivating Creations By Valerie delivered. I found Valerie, CCBV owner, on the knot and I had a couple of planners that I was looking into but when I met with Valerie and discovered how organized and experienced she was I immediately went with her services. CCBV helped plan my wedding from the beginning to the end. She organized all of the meetings with various vendors, set up the contracts with various vendors, and left not one stone unturned. I am not from the Maryland area and since my wedding was in Edgewater, MD, Valerie was very helpful in suggesting vendors that she has worked with to help me along. I found some of her vendor suggestions to be helpful. In addition, any other companies that I found through my own research, she followed up with them and asked any questions that I may have had. I ended up using the florist ( she was amazing), party rental company, and transportation service she suggested for my wedding. They were all very dependable and the florist was spectacular. Valerie worked very hard to make sure that she executed all of me and my husbands desires for our wedding. She relieved a lot of stress and made wedding planning a peaceful, memorable occasion. I did not have wedding on-the-brain 24/7. She was an advocate for whatever we wanted. She kept us, bride/groom, on schedule, communicated with the bridal party, and even kept my sometimes overbearing mom from having her second wedding. The day of the wedding her staff kept the crowd flowing. I had an outdoor ceremony and tented reception, it rained right before the ceremony and everything was moved to our back-up site inside. Valerie and her staff handled the switch beautifully and everything started as planned. There was a slight seating mix up, (due to my mishap) at the reception and a few of the guests became a little frustrated. I later learned that due to the confusion the staff became a little flustered with the guests and vice versa, but the situation was handled satisfactorily because everyone stayed until the party ended, and constantly remarks on what a beautiful affair our wedding was. If I was asked whether or not I would use CCBV again for another event my answer would be.....Absolutely!
