BRIDES BEWARE. Marisa Miller did some great engagement pictures. Then the wedding day came March 2020 and Covid was in full force. We scaled down the wedding to 10 people and she did a few pictures at the house and a few at the venue for a total of 4 hours. She was supposed to fulfill the rest of the pictures by coming out on March 27 for the remaining 4 hours for the pending reception. That date is quickly coming up and lo and behold....she will NOT answer calls, texts or emails! She's already been paid $2025 total for engagements, wedding and reception. She still owes us 4 hours of work and pictures! And to top it off, we only really need her for 2 of those 4 hours. BRIDES BEWARE!!
Marisa was recommended to me by one of my cousins. She did her wedding a few years back and said she had reasonable pricing. I was skeptical that her pricing would still be in my budget range, but I was pleasantly surprised! One of the main things I took away from our consultation was that I could tell she doesn't do wedding photography for fame or fortune. She does it because she loves it. She made us feel like family on the day of our wedding. She was constantly asking every single person if she could do anything at all for them. The photos were perfect. I loved the second shooter option because he made sure to capture things that we didn't see happening. I don't recommend anyone else but Captive Art for wedding photography!
The photos came out great! Would definitely recommend
Where to even begin. Marisa is AWESOME!!! We met with her before booking and immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. She's unassuming and slightly awkward, just like us! And that made the whole photography experience feel real and authentic. Highly recommend. You'll love her services.
had a wonderful experience throughout. Marisa was very helpful and attentive. We are totally in love with our engagements and sneak peeks (sent day after wedding!) and can't wait to see the final album. Highly recommend!
Extremely impressed! I'm in love with my photos and the entire experience as a whole. Marisa and her team are very warm and friendly. They helped with things that weren't necessarily photography related to help improve the quality of the day as a whole. She definitely has your best interest at heart and goes out of her way to learn about you to customize her work to what you really like. I'm so happy with my wedding photography choice! Captive Art Photography is amazing!!
Wow! Marisa was soooooo incredible. She was an absolute trooper over the 15 hours that was my wedding day. So far I’ve only seen my sneak peek photos, but that’s enough to say that I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. She was patient with my requests and got some incredibly creative and fun shots! Everyone commented on her willingness to get into some seemingly uncomfortable positions for the sake of the perfect angle. She helped keep me calm and was the perfect addition to my big day. I cannot say enough good things about her. If you don’t hire her, you’re missing out.
As the wedding was only week ago, I haven’t yet seen the photos but I wanted to leave an early review on Marisa’s amazing customer service. She is a wonderful lady and will only improve your wedding day. I had a vendor no show and had a bit of chaos right before the ceremony but Marisa just jumped in and started to help organize the mess. She was so sweet and calming to an anxious bride and helped ease the stress. She had really great ideas for shots and I’m excited to see how they turn out. Such a sweet person.
Marisa was the best photographer. She had zero problems with photographing our engagements in college station, my bridal portraits in San Antonio, and our wedding in Houston. She made sure our preferences were at the forefront of everything we did. Her knowledge of the wedding industry, especially wedding dresses was amazing. She got down and helped me bustle my dress for the reception. She managed our families impeccably well during staged photos. We love working with her and her partner Javier!! We can not recommend her enough for people looking for a wedding photographer!!
I cannot explain how amazing Marisa is. Not only does she go out of her way to make sure everything looks amazing in the photos, she does so much more! She makes sure the day is running smoothly, helps set a timeline for when to begin and end photos, she checks on the bride. She is such a special person and I could never thank her enough for the role she played at my wedding. She got the most incredible shots and really wanted to make sure everything was tailored to me. She takes time to know the bride and ask the brides style. When photographing my dress and rings, Marisa made sure it was simple since that is what I like. She just truly cares about all of her clients and also the product she is putting out there. There are not words to express how special she made my wedding. When I got my photos in, I cried tears of joy at them. They were beyond perfect and special and brought me so much happiness. In addition, she did my engagement photos as well as bridal, wedding dress shopping, and budior photos. All of these were beyond perfect and I am so grateful marisa was the one taking all of these. She made me feel so comfortable in each session and went out of her way to make sure we got all the shots I wanted. There is no one like this girl and I can honestly say that with out a doubt she was the best choice I could have made to photograph my wedding and the special moments leading up to it. I can't thank her enough for being such a wonderful person, letting me confide in her, and delivering the most special thing I have- the photos from my wedding. I love this girl.
Wow what an amazing experience, Marisa is truly a talented and hard working photographer, she will do anything to get the perfect shot, her pictures are always the perfect ratio of artistic and straight forward, there are moments I now have stored forever thanks to her.
I would highly recommend her work, shes talented and not expensive, other photographers would charge twice as much for work half as passionate. you wont regret hiring Marisa, she will make your day so much better
What an amazing experience. Marisa is truly a special person, she is caring and loving and does everything in her power to be able to provide the best wedding experience possible.
Her photography is breathtaking and her energy is contagious.
I would highly recommend her work to anyone that want an affordable, talented photographer for any special occasion.
What an amazing experience, Marisa will stop at nothing not only to get the photo, she make it a priority to make sure everyone is happy and content with whatever is going on.
She is loving, caring, and constantly happy throughout the the entire wedding, sometimes lasting over 8 hours.
I highly recommend Marisa to anyone that wants a highly talented, cost effective, and committed photographer to capture all those precious moments that go away in the blink of an eye during the wedding
Marisa, with Captive Art provided a service that was truly special, she not only deeply cares about the photos and the quality of her work, she is constantly working towards making sure the bride and groom and all guests are comfortable and happy, she will stop at nothing to achieve this.
The most important part, her photography is truly a work of art, she uses natural light to create scenes that will take your breath away.
Hire Marisa, you will not regret it
Marisa has a true talent for photography! I cannot stress that enough. She creates amazing work because she is reliable and makes her customers feel comfortable. I value a photographer who is genuinely passionate in their work while providing professionalism. I have worked with Marisa on several occasions and will continue to do so and tell others about her work because she is someone you can truly invite to capture any important moments in your life.
Marisa was the photographer for my best friends' wedding so, when it came my turn to get married I reached out to her. After meeting with about 5 photographers it was only with Marisa that I felt completely at ease and truly felt she understood what my vision was for our wedding photography. She also did an amazing job! For our engagement pictures, she went out of her way to secure the perfect location and we had sneak preview pictures that same day! Then for my bridals, she made sure every detail was perfect and I was looking my best. Since we got married in early December I was hoping to have a picture to send to our guests as thank you/First Married Christmas Card. Marisa went out of her way to edit a few pictures for us to choose from in time to make that happen. Now that the wedding is over Marisa and I still stay in touch and my husband and I plan to use her as our family photographer now that we are expecting our first child in January.
Marisa is an old friend of mine from back home and from school and I remember she liked to dabble in photography and appreciated the finer details back then so I thought of her when it came time for our engagement photos, she was also close by so that helped. What I didn't know was that it was more than a hobby for her after college. She is a PROFESSIONAL. Seeing the pictures and places she's been to take those pictures takes time and effort. The pictures that she took of my fiance and me were absolutely astonishing. She focuses on the details and also helps give instruction when you're a terrible picture taker like myself. She went the extra miles to get awesome photos, like climbing a tree, and braving the rain (twice) to get the photos that we couldn't have dreamed of. If my fiance hadn't already booked the wedding photographer, she would be it. She's devoted, diligent, creative and kind. I would recommend her to anyone. She cares for the people that she gets to work with.
Marisa is awesome! My fiancé introduced me to her. I had already picked our wedding photographer, but he said he had an old friend that could do our engagements. I was skeptical, never having met said friend and him describing her like she did it on the side...like as a hobby...but man, I am so glad I trusted him! Haha. Turns out, his friend DOES PHOTOGRAPHY. Marisa is legit, not just some hobbyist. She is super laid back and calm, she's artsy and creative (both are must haves for me in a photographer - I need help capturing my good side!), she climbed right up into a live oak tree to get a cool angle of us below, and she didn't let a little rain/storm stop her....twice. Same storm, 2 different locations. At the end of our shoot, we were all walking back to our vehicles, got rained on again, and we passed the last green space on campus before we got to the parking lot. We had just walked by a couple of benches and Marisa stopped and asked if we wanted to take any kissing in the rain pictures. It was super cliché, but we were already soaked and I secretly like that corny stuff, so we rolled with it. Why not, right?? So. Glad. We did. Those are our absolute favorites of all of the pictures she took that day! Deciding which ones to print and frame has been no easy task. She gave us so many great options! Talk about dynamite coming in small packages!
She's tiny, but she is awesome!
My husband and I loved our experience with Captive Art Photography. Marisa is so down to earth and loving. I felt like I've known her forever by the time we got to the wedding. She was there to help every step of the way and I can't thank her enough.
Marisa is so unique. I did pageants growing up and have worked with dozens of photographers throughout the better part of my life. Marisa is really just so unique. I felt loved, I felt cherished, I felt like she really cared about how I wanted to preserve the memories of my own wedding day. She went above and beyond for my husband and I throughout the entire experience.
During our engagement session, she used her own jacket to wipe off wet seats so our outfits wouldn't be compromised. (It had just rained)
During my bridal session, she took bobby pins out of her own hair to make sure I looked my best. She told me I was beautiful and she made me feel beautiful!
During the wedding, Marisa bustled me because my bridesmaids were scattered and my coordinator was dealing with other things. She wiped cake off my face when I didn't realize it was there. She picked up my niece when she fell down and brought her to her mother. Everyone loved Marisa and her team.
I can't speak highly enough. I love this woman and everything she stands for. I've found a friend for life and meaningful photographs I can cherish forever.
I happen to be a photographer myself and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with Marisa. She was everything to me on my wedding day. I can't say that enough. In order to save money, I hired a day of coordinator who wasn't very experienced, and although she did the best job she could, Marisa basically coordinated the entire event while never missing a photo opp. I was just so impressed! I don't think I could have done that myself. Throughout the process of planning my wedding, Marisa was there every step of the way to recommend vendors, help give opinions, help solve problems (creatively, I might add) and just to reassure me as a friend that everything was going to be okay. It's been 8 months since our wedding and we still find time to chat every now and then. I will be keeping her as our personal photographer for every life event from this point forward. She's very organized, she works quickly on her toes if plans don't follow through, and she is hardly noticeable throughout the whole day. I loved that about her. I got all the photos I could dream of and more and she did it gracefully and full of love. She's the cutest little ball of happiness I've had the blessing to meet! She shoots with almost all natural light, which impresses me as well. It takes a keen eye and a natural instinct to manipulate light the way that she's able to. I seemed to glow in almost all of my photos. We didn't even have our ceremony at sunset and she managed to pull out this beautiful flare of light through the trees. So. In. Love. Please, book this woman for your wedding photography needs. You will not be disappointed!!!
We LOVED working with Marisa! She does excellent work and always has a smile on her face. She was very responsive when I reached out to her and she was professional.
She even went above and beyond at my wedding! I couldn't find my wedding planner for about 30 minutes and after she found out she personally went to find her for me. I really appreciated her effort to make me day as special and relaxing as possible!
I would recommend her for all your wedding related occasions! Not to mention, her affordable pricing!
Marisa was the most fabulous addition to my wedding. Not only did she make my husband and me feel at ease and comfortable during our engagement pictures (lets face it, its kind of awkward to stare into each others eyes or kiss while someone is standing a few feet away!) and she made me feel beautiful during my bridal portraits. We just received our wedding pictures I nearly cried looking through them for the first time. It was like experiencing our wedding all over again, she managed to photograph every important moment, even though we barely even noticed she was there (because she's sneaky, not because we didn't want her there!). She is fun, sweet, professional, and truly great at what she does. Marisa is so special because she is an amazing photographer and cares so much about her clients, but she also worked with us on our budget which is VERY hard to come by in the wedding industry. If you choose to work with Marisa, you won't regret it, Captive Art Photography is amazing!
Marisa and Captive Art are absolutely amazing when it comes to couples photos! We did a session at a local winery with her and she was so creative with poses and ideas. She arranged to get my hair and makeup done, came with an outfit and jewelry and even coffee. I would not think twice to consider Captive Art Photography for any photography needs. She's efficient, friendly, and very good at what she does!
Marisa is a wonderful photographer!!! My experiences working with Marisa have always been amazing! Working with new photographers can be intimidating, but not with Marisa. I love that she speaks to you in a way that makes you feel totally comfortable, so the photos come out naturally beautiful.
I admire Marisa and her work and how much she loves it. She simply wants to capture those beautiful moments of your life. I always recommend Marisa's business. Marisa is talented, versatile, caring, and believes that everyone should be able to have quality pictures for their cherished moments. What more could one ask for? She is beyond amazing!
We were so lucky to book Captive Art Photography for both engagement photos and photos for the wedding day. Marisa is incredibly easy to work with and takes beautiful pictures. I can't speak highly enough of her as a photographer.
Marisa at Captive Art Photography is amazing. She has an eye that captures the most incredible pictures. We have had a number of sessions with her, so we know her work well. She is so easy to work with, affordable, and she really makes you feel comfortable to be yourselves around her.
I feel like I've been with Marisa since the beginning of her photography career. There's a reason I've stuck by her side and hired her for our wedding this past summer (and she took our proposal pictures AND our engagement pictures)! She always knows just how to capture our best moments and does so in an extremely professional yet personal manner. She truly gets to know her clients in order to capture their day in the most perfect way. I couldn't be happier with how ALL of our pictures have turned out over the years and she will always be my #1 when I need a photographer (or a friend!)
P.S. Did I mention she TRAVELS?! She came up to Seattle from Texas for my wedding!
Um, so, we found a diamond in the freaking rough. This woman loves what she does and her positive energy is just so contagious. I don't know what I would have done without her on my wedding day. Even though I love and have grown up with my family members, I kept trying to catch her eye for that reassuring smile she kept throwing at me. Marisa and I will always be friends, forever and ever.
Captive Art is unique in the fact that the owner literally bends over backwards for her clients. She was constantly asking me if I needed water, felt okay, or if there was anything she could do for me whatsoever. Such a godsend, especially since my coordinator was awol almost the entire reception....but that's another review.
The photos I got back were outstanding. I couldn't have been happier. The good thing about Captive Art is they give you every single photo that is in focus, good or bad. I like that, because some of my favorite memories were captured in the moment and weren't composed. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of composed shots, but I have one of my husband's best friend choking on a cherry tomato and my husband patting him on the back to "rescue" him. We didn't even know she was taking photos of that moment!! But I'm so glad I have (hilarious) photo evidence of the moment I laughed my absolute hardest all night.
Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for someone NOT as amazing as Captive Art Photography....Stop looking now, and book her. Best decision in my entire wedding process. Hands down.
I was first drawn to Marisa because of her budget awareness, but she drew me in with her style and personality. I wasn't looking to make friends with my wedding vendors but it was hard not to love Marisa. She constantly asked me if there was anything I needed through out the entire day (photo or NONphoto related needs), and did the same for the rest of my bridal party! I'm really picky when it comes to photos of myself and Marisa had no problem showing me the images on her camera to make sure I was happy with them - and I was (am). This company is a wise investment for your wedding day and I wouldn't recommend anyone else.
Marisa and Javier went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was PERFECT. I was blown away with the little things. Marisa even helped me take my shoes off when my feet started to hurt and my MOH was no where in site. If that isn't enough, the pictures came out beautifully!!!!!! Her style is so vibrant and colorful. I don't know why you would choose anyone else. My favorite part about her is that she's always trying to give back to the community whenever she can; whether it's free wedding photography or using her photography to raise funds for the search for Dallas missing woman, Christina Morris. I am always impressed and glad I found a friend in my wedding photographer!
Marisa is fantastic. We have received so many compliments on the photography she did, and was very amenable to everyone in the wedding party. She was very structured in the shots that she knew would look good (as I know next to nothing about pictures). She did our wedding and engagement pictures, and both turned out amazing. She is very professional, friendly, and skilled at what she does. She is an expert! I would recommend her to anyone.
Marisa captured the most important day of my life, and did the absolute most incredible job at capturing every magical moment! I could not have asked for a better, understanding, more talented person to help me remember my wedding day with such beautiful pictures. She's such a sweet soul. Her services are so affordable, and the quality of her work is impeccable. I will forever be so grateful. I will definitely use her for other life events of mine, and refer her to everyone I know. Thank you, Captive Art Photography!
Captive Art Photography is INCREDIBLE! I would recommend her to absolutely any one and every one. Marissa is an individual who truly LOVES her job and LOVES all of the people she encounters. She has a patient heart and knows how to take stunning photos! She is great at communicating with her clients and very helpful with any and all questions you may have for her! She is quick to respond and answers emails/texts/and phone calls. If you are looking for a photographer you can count on- Marissa is your girl! She is able to look at ideas you may have and make them come true in your own photos! She gives you a wide variety of photos to choose from. I highly recommend doing engagement photos and bridals with her as well. I used her for all of our wedding photos and the consistency and beauty of the photos existed in all of our photo albums! Her prices are extremely manageable and her love is immeasurable! Definitely look into using this amazing photographer for your special day!
From the moment I met Marissa I felt like we had known each other for years. She was so easy to work with. And her prices were very affordable! During the ceremony and the reception I hardly knew she was there, she was like a stealth ninja, always managing to capture great shots. Family commented on how sweet she was and that she was all over the place getting shots from every angle. I would definitely recommend her to capture the images of your special day.
Marisa is lovely to work with---she obviously loves what she does, and the brides and grooms that she works with.
Price was for 7 hours plus engagements. We did qualify for discount.
She is very sensitive to your budget---we love the pictures! She gives you a USB with a copyright release, so you can print some for everyone without a huge extra expense!
Captive Art Photography helped make our day so special and memorable. They did an amazing job for engagement, bridal and wedding day pictures. Now we can relive our special day over and over again. Thank you!
Captive Art Photography did a WONDERFUL job for our wedding!!! She did our engagement pics, my bridal portraits, and our wedding pictures because I loved working with her so much! Highly highly highly recommend! So easy to work with, sweet and friendly, very affordable, & over all GREAT! Love!!!
Although I haven't used Marisa personally for my wedding, I will definitely do so when the time comes. The great thing about Marisa is that she is diverse in her abilities, and all of the pictures turn out spectacular. I have used Marisa for graduation and dance movement pictures. She not only creates beautiful still shots, but she is able to capture incredible shots of movement.
Besides the range of her skills, she also will do whatever it takes to get the best shot. I have seen her climb on trees, chairs, in small spaces and moves so quickly that you don't even know she is there. This is perfect for weddings because she doesn't block guest views, yet captures every moment wonderfully on film.
I highly recommend Marisa for all of your photography needs!
We were introduced to Marisa through our wedding planner. At the time she was living a good hour and a half away from us, but she made the long trip in the rain to meet with us at my husbands work. I swear we instantly became friends. She was so friendly, down to earth, and knew what she was talking about.
On the day of my wedding I was sick as a dog! However, looking at the pictures you couldn't tell at all! As soon as she arrived at the condo she started snapping pictures. She was everywhere; on the bed, on the floor, on the balcony, up and down the elevators and stairs to the other rooms that my wedding party was in...everywhere!
We were married on the beach at sunset and every shot she took captured all the beauty of the ocean, sky and all the little details. She was in the sand dunes, climbing through brush and weaving in and out of our guests. We had bonfires and she even posted by one to get the perfect shot of the fires with our guests, regardless of the smoke filling her eyes. :)
She was everywhere at once, hence our nickname for her, "Photography Ninja."
We are in the process of starting a family and she will be our photographer for every special moment from now on.
If you are in the market for someone who will make you feel beautiful, relaxed and like royalty, look no further. This gal has it all!
~Eisha and Adam
Marisa is such a sweet, young lady with great talent. She photographed an engagement session and our wedding day. The photos are stunning, but more important than that is how great Marisa is throughout the entire process. She enjoys what she does and you can tell in her work and attitude. She was not just a photographer, she helped me find my "something old" and was pinning my hair during the reception. She does offer great prices, but that is not why you should choose her. You should choose her because you want the best photographs to remember all the little moments of one of the most important days of your life!!
I heard about Captive Art Photography from a friend, and when I found out that the company was owned by a college student no older than myself, I was a little nervous! But then I spoke with Marisa and discovered that she is a professional, charming, and talented photographer. Never fear! Though her services are far cheaper than any other wedding photographer you'll find (I got one of the larger packages), you can expect a multitude of high end pictures that really capture your day. Within a month of my wedding date, I received 3 discs containing 800 (or more) photos, and their black and white copies, edited and categorized into specific folders... all tied up in a pretty white box!
Marisa herself was a pleasure to get to know. She made sure that all the shots that Kyle and I wanted were included, and came up with some very creative ones of her own. I have new pictures to share on my pinterest for ages to come.
Thanks Marisa!
Marisa did such an amazing job for my wedding last July, that I am now using her as my photographer for my maternity pictures! Marisa was really flexible when my big day came, and took really amazing photos despite all the chaos that all weddings have! She captured moments that were really special to me that I wouldn't have been able to look back on if it wasn't for her! A lot of photographers in my area charge an arm and a leg for the quality and professionalism that she provides. Marisa really worked with our budget and allowed us to have those precious moments from our big day caught on camera! Thanks again Captive Art Photography!!
I have a feeling Captive Art is going to take the photography world by storm soon. Her take on the business is very unique and fair to the consumer. She is one of the most kind, selfless, talented, and loving people I have ever met. Her energy can really calm down the atmosphere and made us feel so comfortable around her. She shot our wedding like a little samurai or ninja. We got over 2,000 photos for 6 hours of her service. She worked with us to create a package that would give us what we wanted without going over budget. She truly cares about couples and was always willing to help in any way whatsoever.
Captive Art Photography is hands down the best. Marisa makes you feel so comfortable and natural when she is photographing you, it's almost like she's not even there. She is one of the nicest people I've ever met, and her photos are amazing! After taking some portraits with her, I looked around at other photographers' portfolios, and I couldn't find a single one that I liked better than Captive Art Photography's. I have since then had several sessions with Captive Art Photography, and I have never been disappointed with her work. Her turnaround time is is so quick; I have never had to wait very long for my pictures. Lastly, my favorite thing about Captive Art is that it is so affordable. Most photographers claim to be "affordable", but still charge an arm and a leg for their services. Captive Art truly is the MOST affordable, with better photos than the other photographers out there. Choosing Captive Art Photography will be the best decision you'd make. I highly, highly recommend her!
After the craziness of getting engaged settled down, I talked to my fiance about getting our engagement photos taken. We were both nervous about the cost with me paying off my school loans, and he still in college. I remembered that a girl I once knew at a dance club started her own photography business, and eagerly looked through her photos. I fell in love. Her photos were full of color, light, and energy, and I knew she was exactly what I wanted for our session. Better yet, she was reasonably priced!
She was so accommodating with all the props and costume changes wanted for the shoot, and made me feel at ease with what I wanted. She even helped me pick a location for the shoot, which I greatly appreciated. Marisa is extremely professional, and was not afraid to take charge of the shoot when needed. I absolutely loved my photos. (We incorporated Pokemon and Harry Potter into the theme.) She uploaded some on her Facebook Page the same day, and I received a disc, full of the edited pictures, two weeks later. We kept in contact throughout, and I was never worried about whether or not she wouldn't get them to me in a timely manner.
I would recommend her to anyone. She's fantastic!
Marisa was an absolute dream to work with. We hired her to do engagement pictures and photograph our wedding. Our first engagement session was rained out after 40 minutes, so Marisa rescheduled another one with us and we did another full session. The pictures from both are astounding. She captured beautiful, in the moment experiences and we couldn't be happier with the images. Her wedding images went even above and beyond what I was expecting. We got our images less than 3 weeks after our wedding and there were over 1800 images on four discs. She captured every single moment and there wasn't one picture I didn't immediately fall in love with. Not only is Marisa immensely talented, but she's also the sweetest, most caring and kindest person you can image. She truly cares about you and will do everything in her power to make your wedding day special and capture your precious memories.
My wife desperately wanted to spend thousands on a photographer. She really wanted amazing photos to remember our wedding day. She showed me vendors that started at 4 grand and I began to worry that we wouldn't be able to afford her dream, but of course I wanted her to have the best. I began to take matters into my own hands and found Marisa on theknot.com with Captive Art Photography. I nearly cried when I saw her pricing because that meant, my wife and I could stop fighting about this matter and we could both be happy. When I showed her Marisa's work she got excited and said she wanted to set up a meeting as soon as possible.
We met Marisa at a Starbucks and as soon as we sat down we knew she was the one for us. We booked her for our day and got an engagement session with our package.
For both the engagement pictures and wedding photos, we were blown away with what we got for our money. Not to mention how much of a pleasure it was to work with her. We never worried whether she was doing her job and she rarely ever stopped taking pictures. Family pictures were a breeze and she had a knack for making everyone laugh. I cannot thank her enough. Not only was she a great vendor, she'd definitely a dear friend.
For what we paid, we got an engagement session in which she drove 2 hours to meet us at our venue, she spent 3 hours and 15 minutes with us (all of which was ridiculously enjoyable), 6 hours of wedding day coverage with an assistant photographer, and over 2,000 photos with a print release.
If Captive Art Photography isn't the best wedding photographer in all aspects, I don't know who is. Thank you, Marisa!
From the first moment I contacted Marisa, I had a feeling that she would be the perfect person to be our photographer. She immediately put us at ease about not being photogenic. She worked with us through the whole process.
She was friendly, professional, and so easy to work with. The day of the ceremony she went immediately to work and caught some of the most endearing moments on film for us.
My guests absolutely adored her and we received so many compliments on how efficient and quick she was!
She caught moments that we will hold in our hearts forever and I am so thankful for her!
Marisa was truly a blessing to us!
Marisa's photography is one of the best that I have seen for a long time. She is great at capturing who you are your fiance really are. She finds out what you really like and incorporates that into the pictures, especially when it comes to your engagement photos. She has a great eye for making you look amazing in any setting. She also has really great prices. A lot of the photographers I had found for the wedding were wanting to charge more than $2000 including the engagement photos, but Marisa's prices are hard to beat. The smallest package that she has is $750 and it is perfect for smaller ceremonies. She is great to get along with and is overall a great person to know.
