Richard is such a sweetheart and an amazing photographer! You can tell he put a lot of care into picking locations for our photos and editing them to perfection. He went above and beyond what we expected! We took our engagement photos and day of wedding photos with him. We really didn't know what we were doing in terms of picking locations for our engagement photos so he was really patient with us and even provide many options for us to choose from! Nowhere was too far for him to travel :) And on the day of our wedding, he beautifully captured every moment of our special day. Thank you so much Richard! You're the BEST!

By far, Richard was our favorite vendor when it came to wedding planning. We're not even just talking about the day of, but the entire process. My husband and I are so appreciative of not only Richard's professionalism, but also his amiable demeanor. Early on, we connected with Richard and could tell that he'd bend over backwards for his clients. Living out of town, he made it easy to set up phone/video conferences and answered every single question we had. Not only that, but he made an incredibly early morning engagement shoot work just because we were in the area for a short weekend trip. Again, Richard puts his clients' needs first and we love him for that! Come the wedding day, it is absolutely true when people tell you that your photographer will be with you every single second! Luckily for us, it was very natural having Richard be the guy with us throughout the day. Not only did he get great shots of us, our wedding party had a blast with him and family members raved about how polite and respectful he was. On top of all that, Richard supported us with the planning process along the way. He'd constantly check in to see how we were feeling coming up to the big day. He'd ask if he could support us with finding any other vendors. He'd really try to offer his support in any given way. Honestly, the quality of his photos should speak for themselves. But we truly loved working with Richard just because of what an awesome and personable photographer he was and how he genuinely cared to support us every step. We definitely recommend CaptureCraft Studio!! After a few months of researching for a photographer we came across Richard's work and decided to contact him and scheduled a meeting. After meeting with him and sharing our ideas and reviewing his work;we booked him for our engagement photoshoot and wedding. He made it easy for us to connect and communicate with him throughout the process. He delivered our photos early than the expected date and it came out wonderful!

We hired Richard very last minute for our 30 person wedding and we're so glad we did! He was very easy to work with and had a great attitude throughout the day. Not to mention, the photos were amazing. I would highly recommend Richard for your wedding.

Where do I begin with Richard? If you know anything about me, I am the epitome of OCD. When it was time to do some research on wedding vendors, I spent many months for the best and only the best for our Big Day (November 2018). One of the main things that I was stressing the most about was finding the perfect photographer. Even though I buckled down my searches to 5 stars and 0 low ratings, there were so many to choose from! I am a stickler for perfection. I wanted to find the perfect photographer who knew what they were doing, a photographer who knew about lighting, editing and all things photography who can produce perfect photos sans the corniness. After discovering Richard, I decided to look more into his work before reaching out to him. What stood out to me with Richard was that he did not introduce himself as just a photographer, but a storyteller. I was really excited to work with someone who can create beautiful photos with a beautiful story. I reached out to Richard via e-mail and then we spoke on the phone and we knew instantly that Richard was our photographer. He was so hospitable and explained everything including more about himself, his experiences and answered all of my thousand questions. We then met up for lunch for an in-person meeting to get to know each other and our next steps for our engagement photoshoot and wedding. Let me just say, both our engagement and wedding photos were STUNNING! I mean, I am STILL trying to decide which photos to print! Richard shot every single part of our wedding day and I especially appreciate the significant ones he captured of my parents (who were there in spirit) that I will always treasure. Finally, the last thing I'd like to share about Richard is that he was extremely patient and kind during our wedding. I was experiencing some anxiety the morning-of and he made sure that I was feeling okay before proceeding and that made me feel at ease and next thing you know, I was feeling fine! I am really happy I survived our wedding thanks to him. His patience and kindness really put my nerves at ease and I am forever grateful for him. We not only ended up with amazing photos from Richard, but we gained a friend. I cannot wait to work with Richard again in the near future. A true professional with a humble spirit. Richard did our surprised engagement photo session and he was such a pleasant person to deal with from coordinating to taking the photos. It was a memorable day and Richard only made it better by the great photos he took of that day. We were really impress with the professionalism and friendliness of the service he offered. This review is way overdue, so sorry it has taken this long! Richard shot my engagement photos back in Feb and he was fantastic. He showed up promptly and immediately went to work. He never rushed us and even when the time was up, he didn't just drop what he was doing and said bye. He stayed a little extra and took his time to take the last few photos. My husband and I are both awkward picture takers and he made us feel so comfortable! I love candid photos but I was so afraid that I have to pretend to laugh, smile, or do weird poses. I mean, how can you pretend when you know there's a camera right there?! Richard had his special techniques to make us feel comfortable and at some point, my husband and I forgot about the camera and was just ourselves. He captured those natural moments and of course those were the best photos. The turnaround time for our pictures was so awesome and everyone who saw our pictures was in love with them. We are so thrilled with the quality of the shoot and it's nice to work with a photographer who is absolutely passionate about his profession. From start to finish, Richard was attentive, polite and just incredible! He is very detailed oriented and if he sees a small strand of hair that is not in the correct place, your dress is tied unevenly, your pants wrinkle a certain way, etcs...he will notice and fix it! I couldn't be happier with my pictures and he has made a lifelong customer with the Lam and Ho family! Can't wait to book him for our maternity, baby shower, first birthday, etcs photoshoots! Richard was one of the highlights of our wedding! He has the best energy and always made us feel comfortable. Aside from being our photographer he helped us keep on track of our schedule. Wherever we were he was right there to capture the moment. Our videographer missed shooting our first look but Richard helped capture that moment for us and that was one of my favorite shots in our wedding video. If you are looking for a photographer for engagement and wedding, look no further. Richard is the best! He did my engagement session and the pictures looked amazing! I could not believe my eyes. He is a true artist and without a doubt, his skills are exceptional. From picking a venue to last minute questions, Richard was quick to respond. He is very professional in all of our correspondence. He is passionate at what he does. He climbed up a hill, go through the bushes and risked falling into the water just to capture a great shot for us. Of course, I do not recommend this lol but what I'm saying is that he will go the extra mile to give you the best shot. Pricing will not break your bank account and is all worth it. Richard helped capture the moments of our wedding day and the photos couldn’t have come out better. We started off with a casual meeting at a cafe prior to the wedding day to discuss personalities and styles. When researching photographers, one of our main priorities was to find somebody that could handle the low lighting in our reception area and still create vibrant shots of all the partying. At our meeting, he was able to show us different samples of weddings he had shot in dimly-lit venues. Richard was able to meet at our venues prior to the wedding to preview the surroundings and on the day of he found interesting backdrops for us to take some creative shots. The photos definitely exceeded our expectations. Also, a major plus is that Richard and his assistant are bilingual which was very accommodating for our families’ needs. He is also very personable, which made it feel like he’s a friend hanging out who also loves taking pictures.

You'll know that Richard is a professional at the outset. He is personable, friendly , courteous, and focused. My husband and I had our photos taken by him in various places in Orange County. Since we had no idea really how to act in front of the camera, Richard stepped in to give us direction and pointers. He had some really fun and creative ideas, and he will go above and beyond to get the perfect photo! We had a lot of fun that day. The photos turned out to be amazing - the color, composition, mood, all really captured the essence of our relationship and what we had in mind for the day.
