Planning a small ceremony / elopement with Marcela from over 1000 miles away was the best decision. From the moment we did our intro call with her, she was extremely personable and...
answered all the questions we had. She was always just a phone call or text away if we had any questions (and we had lots of those). The guide she sent was beyond helpful. When it came to picking a place, she took the time to really listen to what we envisioned for our special day and when she gave us the options they were all perfect. After that, she curated the timeline and was so patient with us when we made changes. She also got in touch with our other vendors, everything was so smooth and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Once the wedding day came, she captured everything so perfect and candid like we wanted. She made us laugh and allowed us to be our authentic selves behind the camera. Our family members absolutely loved her as well. A couple of days later, we got our sneak peaks. They were AMAZING. she truly captured our day and just by looking at the pictures we could relive our special day. We recommend Marcela without a doubt to book her for your special day!
When my (now!) husband and I decided to have a microwedding across the country, we knew that photographing the event was going to be very important to us. We wanted to capture the ...
love and support of everyone who came to support us. When we found Marcela, with the help of Colorado MicroWeddings, we were thrilled! Not only did she set up a video session so that we could get to know one another and our expectations of the day/photos, she also rolled with the punches the day of! We were running a bit late in our schedule, so my husband and his groomsmen got their "getting ready" photos, and they are now among our favorite photos of the day! We could not be happier with our photos, they are all so beautiful! Her style of photography is exactly what we wanted, and we can feel the emotion in every single photo.
An elopement was always intriguing to my husband and I but the thought of not having spent a lot of time choosing each the key vendors we’d need left us unsure about the type of se...
rvice we’d get and how happy we’d be at the end of it all. Marcela was an incredible help from the start and left us excited and without any worries after our initial Zoom call. She made sure all of our questions were answered early on and was there to help every step of the way. We also appreciated her thoughtful games during the session to help us engage more naturally with each other (super helpful for couples in love but get awkward in front of the camera!) And the pictures — they couldn’t have been better! Marcela effortlessly captured our love and happiness together and the surroundings and lighting were absolutely stunning! Highly recommend Marcela for any couples needing a photographer.
Marcela was the perfect photographer for our adventure elopement! We loved every moment of our day she helped create! She worked tirelessly to make our adventure into marriage happ...
en after our first option was snowed in! Great Sand Dunes felt like the perfect unique place for two Floridians who met in the mountains (and Marcela found it!). She made us comfortable to be ourselves throughout the whole day while making her job look effortless and fun. Our cheeks hurt from smiling, laughing, and a few tears. Marcela captured every precious moment! Her photography is absolutely stunning in every way! I highly recommend Marcela for your elopement or wedding!
The photos we just got back from Marcela are giving me CHILLS!! They are absolutely stunning!!!

l cherish forever. She encouraged Con & I to genuinely interact & share intimate moments together. She prompted us to tell each other things that we love about one other, ways that the other person inspires us, & how being together has positively changed us.
It was more than just a beach shoot. We ended up giving each other precious, heart-melting encouragement & that makes these photos all the more treasured to me.
We loved our experience of having Marcela as our elopement day photographer. Her seemingly hands-off approach, made our elopement day feel more about us, and less like a photoshoot...
. It was almost as if she was and an invisible participant allowing for my wife and me to be "Us."
What was even more special about our experience was her ability to set us at ease months before our day. Through constant communication leading up to, and during, the day we got eloped.
Her personality is that, in just four days time, we felt as if we've known her for years. It was a very moving experience for us when we had to say goodbye to her.
Ah, but you're wondering about her photos. We loved everything about them. From the colors to the depth of field. To the raw emotion captured in many of the shots (due to the aforementioned, nearly hands-off approach). In short, the finished product her efforts are beautiful.
Do yourself a favor, allow yourself to be captured by Marcela, you'll gain an experience that will not only be captured in print but one that captures your heart and soul for years to come.
