Jennifer and her team of photographers/videographers delivered an amazing collection of photos, with a perfect six minute video that captured the essence of our special day! (We keep watching it over and over!). They are not only skilled professionals behind the lens, but sincere and invested in caring about their clients as family, not just a paying customer. They are really creative as they seemed to capture those in-between moments (when no one is truly aware) with family and friends. As the Mother of the Bride, I actually depended on them to keep me going at certain moments. For example, I rehearsed the process of gathering up the train to create a perfect bustle on my daughter's dress - and in the moment I just could not seem to pull it together. I felt so stressed. My friend, along with the photographer's assistant, Leanne, stepped in and saved the day. She was so calm, and kind. The team seemed so happy to be documenting our daughter's wedding day, and did absolutely everything they could do to insure that the end product - the photos - represented the love that we all felt in the room. This was a large wedding with a packed schedule at a busy venue, and they did not miss a beat! This is not a day that can be a do-over! It has to be perfect. And we cannot recommend them enough. Thank-you to Captured Couture for giving us these precious memories of a lifetime.
Jennifer and her team are seriously a dream come true. I could not have imagined better photos that captured our wedding day and all the feelings we had. The wedding went by so fast I almost didn’t remember everything. But then came my stunning photos from Jennifer. She brought me back to that day and I felt like I was reliving the day again. Jennifer and her team are so talented and make you feel comfortable and helped guide us in poses, etc. Will gladly recommend her to anyone in the future wanting exquisite photos and an incredible photographer.
Jennifer was the only photographer we talked to when picking a wedding photographer. Honestly she was the only one we wanted just based off her social media and website photos alone. Then we had a call with her…and that was it we knew she was the one we wanted to capture our day.
We did an engagement session with her and I’m so happy we did. I have t had professional photos taken of me since my high school senior pictures in 1996, so I was a little camera shy. But Jennifer makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera right away, I don’t know how she does it but she does. Our engagement photos came out beautiful! I used one for our wedding website and a different one for our wedding newspaper, it was not an easy decision, since so many of the photos were breathtaking.
When it was time for us to work on the wedding day time line and photo locations I was struggling. Jennifer walked us through it all and need scheduled a call with us so we could all get in the same page right away instead of emailing back and forth several times. She came up with several great ideas and made a game plan for good weather as well as rain.
When the wedding day came it rained all day. But because is Jennifer’s planning we were able to make it all work. I really had my heart set in photos at the DIA, so I was disappointed that because of the rain that location was out. Jennifer said it didn’t need to be we would just be quick with it. That meant so much to me. We had a vintage car coming for photos and I knew I would have to contact them by 2pm to tell them where to meet us, Jennifer handled that for me too.
Because Jennifer is so good at what she does and moves quickly we were able to get an extra photo location in that we didn’t think hadn’t even planned on.
Everything she did helped to make the day run smoothly. When I forgot where I put my earring backs she remembered. When my foot had an “incident” she had bandaids. And she knows how to take charge when she needs to without being overbearing.
We are so happy with our wedding photos! Jennifer is absolutely the right choice for your wedding day!

Jen was recommended to me by another photographer. Jen, throughout our engagement photos, to the days leading up to the day of our wedding, was a pleasure to work with. She was a hug assistance with setting our timeline. She was amazing juggling our crazy fur Baby and working with nieces, and nephew who is on the spectrum and had low patience it was photo time. She was also amazing with giving us time in between photos as my husband went into Afib 2 weeks between before our wedding and was still getting used to his heart meds. I will definitely use Jen for another big event photos.

My wife and I connected with Jennifer about 18 months before our July 2024 wedding, and we were immediately impressed. She was able to make our awkward selves as comfortable as possible during our engagement shoot and build up a rapport. Our wedding couldn’t have been shot better, from details, to the first look and wedding party, through the reception and sunset shots. Even with a large and crazy family, Jennifer and her assistant kept family pictures moving quickly and efficiently, allowing us to rest easy during our perfect day. The volume and quality of the shots we received was spectacular! We definitely would recommend Captured Couture and will be reaching out again when we need the perfect picture!
Jennifer and her team were so wonderful to work with, and the pictures turned out AMAZING. She was so great at making us feel comfortable and beautiful, and we had so much fun during all of our photo shoots across our multiple day wedding! She was also so responsive leading up the wedding and met with us often to figure out details and timelines. Couldn't recommend her and her team more!
My (now) husband and I chose to hire Jennifer from Captured Couture as our photographer for our wedding. We were both blown away by her images posted on her website and Instagram page and after having a phone interview we were convinced she was the one for us. Jennifer was communicative and so easy to work with. We were able to get a free engagement session with the purchase of our package which was awesome because we were able to meet her in person before our actual wedding.
The day of the wedding there were a few minor hiccups as our wedding was the same day as the Detroit Pride fest, and we weren’t sure some of our desired locations would be accessible. Without a moment of hesitation Jennifer, who knows the city of Detroit incredibly well, was able to secure a location for our first look and our wedding party photos which turned out to be perfect.
Jennifer and her assistant LeAnn captured every part of our wedding with some much care and attention to detail. Our photos are spectacular and we are so thankful for our photography team. Both my husband and I would definitely recommend Captured Couture to anyone looking for wedding photography.
My husband and I were married last September at the Masonic Temple Detroit. Captured Couture did an amazing job making my husband and I feel most comfortable on our wedding day. Jennifer helped me set up a timeline for our wedding day which took the stress off of us so that we could enjoy everything. The pictures came back quickly and they were just what I was hoping for, absolutely beautiful and timeless. Jennifer and her assistants attention to detail helped me receive photos I'm not only happy with but will be able to enjoy for a lifetime!
This review is well overdue as I got married in September 2023 but I cannot recommend Jennifer enough! I knew that I wanted an incredible photographer so I could have the memories of my big day forever and I am so happy that I chose Captured Couture! Not only did she work with me to create a day-of timeline but she made myself and my bridal party feel comfortable and confident throughout the day which made for perfect, genuine photos. I get compliments all the time on how beautiful my photos are and I owe it all to Jennifer and Captured Couture!
The Captured Couture team was truly a dream to work with! Jennifer was so easy to communicate with and made myself and my now husband feel so comfortable. She is so professional yet easygoing, making us feel safe and at ease. Our photo sessions truly felt like hanging out with a friend! She was so quick to get our photos and videos back to us. If you’re thinking of adding a videographer to your package, do not even hesitate!!! The Jennifer and our videographer worked together so easily to capture the most special moments and their effortless teamwork put us at ease! I couldn’t recommend Jennifer and her team more!
After looking at a number of different semi-local photographers in the SE Michigan area, we decided to go with Captured Couture after looking through a number of their galleries and having an intro discussion where we got a chance to test chemistry and talk about some of what we were looking for. Throughout the preparation process Jennifer was incredibly helpful in building a plan to ensure that we were able to ensure that her and her team were properly set up for the most successful memorializing of our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer's team showed up, was incredibly friendly, and did a fantastic job adapting to the inevitable hiccups as different parts of the day slipped or got pulled back to a required time. After the wedding, Jennifer got some teaser photos and videos posted to her Instagram within a few days and then ended up sending the whole package to us way ahead of schedule! When we got the photos, it really reinforced what a good choice we had made in picking Captured Couture to capture our wedding. Jennifer and her team had consistently done a fantastic job to photograph our day and all the special details throughout it, striking a great balance of artistic framing and getting the important shots.

Jennifer was just the greatest! She captured our unique and non-traditional wedding in a way that was absolutely magical and represented the day in the most perfect way. Jennifer and the rest of the Captured Couture team were nothing short of amazing! From our first conversation all the way to our wedding day, Jennifer was attentive, punctual, and very professional. She always responded very quickly whenever I had any questions. She was very calming and you could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. When our wedding day came, she was calm and collected, which made me feel very calm and collected. We received all of our photos a month after our wedding which I feel is a VERY fast turn around time! She truly was amazing and I can't thank her enough.
We lucked out and found Jennifer on Google while we were searching for a photographer. Jennifer was everything we needed: communicative, artistic, timely and sharp, especially with the timeline of our wedding. We really enjoyed working with her- she kept us on track, she was very professional and we also had fun spending the entire day with her and her assistant. Jennifer and her assistant Leann were an absolute dream to work with. They were so helpful with keeping us on schedule and getting all of our must have pictures! Our wedding day was cloudy, so we didn't have a great sunset but Jennifer improvised and we took some fun pictures in the bridal suite, and they ended up being some of my favorite pictures of the night! Can't recommend her enough.

My husband and I were super nervous about getting our photos taken because we are shy in front of the camera but we were immediately comfortable with Jennifer at our engagement session. We had so much fun! We loved all of the photos so much.
On the wedding day, Jennifer and her team worked seamlessly together. They are true professionals and unbelievable at what they do--and you can tell they enjoy it. Within a week and a half from the wedding, I had a gallery of beautiful photos and the video. I'm so glad that we added the videography because the day goes by so quickly but with the video and photo gallery, we can truly relive the day again and again.

They captured every moment perfectly. The photos came out absolutely stunning ! Jennifer is very talented in a way that made each photo soft and romantic, she has the perfect lighting in every photo. Her personality also is amazing , I felt like on my wedding day I had known Jennifer for years thats how comfortable she made us all feel.She took charge when she needed to and kept us right on schedule. Our main point of contact was Jennifer and Ashley was the photographer for our intimate wedding in Michigan. We planned our wedding in just 9 months, so at first we weren’t sure whether it was even possible. Jennifer was always so attentive and communicative, we managed to get the show on the road very smoothly with her helpful guidance. We knew we wanted a photographer at our tiny wedding, but we were hesitant to choose because it can be an intimidating price tag. However, we now have photographs that will last a lifetime and it was worth every penny. Jennifer was always so responsive to my many questions and concerns I had. I could expect a response from her within 24 hours and usually much quicker than that. Jennifer made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. She was as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the photos we wanted, and understanding our wedding photography priorities. Ashley did everything she could to empower and coach us into really just feeling like our best selves. We are absolutely in love with the results!
I can’t recommend Jennifer and her team enough!! We knew right away when we met her during our engagement shoot that she was the right person to photograph our wedding. We cannot thank Jennifer and the captured couture team enough for how beautifully they captured our special day! Jennifer’s creativity and skill shines through each photograph. The style we were looking for was moody, dark, and intimate, but we also wanted our happiness as well as our family’s to shine through. Jennifer delivered that and so much more. Not only did Jennifer capture our wedding day, she also photographed our engagement. We love our dog and we knew we wanted him part of this wonderful time in our lives but we also knew due to him being so young this may be a difficult task for us. We absolutely loved working with Jennifer and Ashley at Captured Couture! I heard about them via a friend who’s wedding photos I loved, and I immediately knew I wanted to work with them for my own wedding. Jennifer promptly scheduled our engagement photo shoot, went through my photography wants and needs, and created a timeline that helped me plan out my wedding day to a T. She was easy to get in touch with, and always responded quickly to my emails. Ashley was our lead photographer, and she was amazing! Every photo in our gallery is beautiful, and she really captured the essence of our wedding day in every way. Our photos are warm, romantic, and nostalgic, and we are so happy with how they turned out. Ashley kept us focused and on time, which I’m sure was difficult with our large wedding party. We also received our entire gallery less than a month after the wedding, which was very exciting. Overall, I would recommend Captured Couture to anyone getting married in the metro Detroit area - you will not regret it!
My wife and I loved our captured moments with Captured Couture. We like artsy and candid photos and Jennifer is great at capturing those. We had wonderful but windy weather on the day of our wedding and were still able to capture some beautiful moments. The only issues we had were planning our engagement photos. We chose Detroit so we could look at locations near our wedding. It rained heavily where we had to reschedule twice. Jennifer was very accommodating about this. I was not able to add more time for the photographer but all of the shots I wanted were able to be captured in an 8 hour period. I loved them all and working with her and her assistant.
Jennifer was rude and aggressive and an overall poor communicator. She left events early, did not take a number of the photos carefully outlined and requested, and took many unusable photos (shadows, candles, and decorations blocking me and the groom's face, blurry and unflattering angles).
The day of the wedding she arrived appearing greasy and in what looked like disheveled pajamas. It really stood out in our videos, which I'm grateful we did not hire her for. She was all around unprofessional. She tacked on an additional $1500 right before the wedding, then refused to communicate about why (said she was on vacation). Then she charged us a late fee while she otherwise ghosted us when we sought clarity on the last minute massive up-charge.
Jennifer cost us stress, money, memories, and was the only hired vendor whom we found to be very difficult to work with. I forewarn against hiring Jennifer for your special event.

edback by you or anyone else. However, after a bit of review and realizing you added the incorrect date to your review I realized it was you. Unfortunately, your wedding was a year ago so things are difficult to recall but I do know you never reached out after your wedding with any concerns about missing photos or anything else. I wish you would have brought those concerns to my attention so I could have attempted to help find a solution.
I truly strive to offer my clients the best possible experience before, during, and after their wedding day. This includes auto-generated emails to ensure we stay on track (and also includes auto-added late fees when things are not paid on time). It includes timelines to ensure we’re on the same page with coverage (a timeline was provided to you and agreed upon with you. This included extra coverage to ensure your requests were documented, that’s where the extra fee came from). It includes professional editing and image storage to ensure images are safe and it also includes a questionnaire to ensure we’re documenting your day in the way you’ve envisioned (a questionnaire was sent to you and all of your requested photos that you added there were taken).
I see you feel as though you were "ghosted". Upon looking up our email conversations I see a timeline was made in April of 2021 which you responded and agreed to. Your questionnaire was sent 9/29 with a requested completion date of 10/18 but this document wasn't completed until 11/6 despite many follow-up emails from me (both auto-generated and personally written by me). Your final invoice was sent on 10/24 with a due date of 10/31 but no emails, calls, or texts to discuss the additional coverage fee came in until 11/1 while I was on vacation.
Additionally, while I was on vacation I communicated via text and informed you my assistant would be checking my email so you still have someone to communicate with. It felt like taking care of your final details/payment just wasn't a priority as you were busy with other matters.
It sounds like you felt I was rude for not being right there for you while I was away. I do understand things get busy at the tail end of wedding planning and this is why I send out details well before they are due so we can connect and discuss any questions you might have.
I feel your images are stunning, they are candid and emotive and document your day just as you planned; They showcase the tall candles you placed on the tables and include soft shadows from the dim lighting. I display these images proudly on our website and social media as I feel they are very much in line with my portfolio. Thanks again for your feedback.
Where do I even begin to start! The first word that comes to mind is AMAZING!! We loved Jennifer through the whole time we worked with her! From the moments we saw her work from our friends wedding we knew she was the one! She will go above and beyond all your expectations! Her personality alone is awesome but her work speaks for itself! Jennifer was one of my all-star vendors during the wedding planning process! She was receptive to my questions, prompt with communication, and really listened to what I was envisioning. Jennifer was not the photographer day-of but Ashley was a perfect alternate. I would book them again for our wedding and I am keeping Captured Couture in mind for photos in the future.
We absolutely loved working with Jennifer and Captured Couture. They fit right in and made us and our friends/family feel super comfortable the whole time. It might be a year later I am posting this review, but it is never too late when you are blessed with amazing wedding pictures done by an incredible photographer.
Jennifer helped us make sure our timeline matched our visions and made great suggestions based on her expertise. From our first meeting to our engagement pictures to our wedding day we had a great experience with Jennifer. She was able to capture us as a couple and really show our story. When we first saw our wedding photos we were amazed and floored but what she was able to capture.
We were especially drawn to Jennifer for her backlit photos and the story she tells about each of her couples through her photos. We loved more the dark and moody feel and Jennifer gave us exactly that. Her use of the light, sunset, and angles are truly incredible. Her backlit photos really set her apart as a photographer.
Both Jennifer and her second photographer were respectful of our guests and were never distracting. Overall, they were wonderful and gave us memories to look back on for a lifetime. We are so thankful for Jennifer and what she was able to do for us on our special day!!

This is your wedding photographer, trust me!! From the moment I first spoke with Jennifer I knew we made the perfect choice for our wedding and engagement photos! The fact that an engagement session is in the wedding packages is such a great idea because we got to know our wedding photographer, Keri, who was wonderful from start to finish. She got an understanding of how we like to be photographed from the engagement photo sessions, and met all our needs for the wedding day. Keri was so easy to work with and handled all (4) sides of our huge family for photos like a pro. Having a second photographer there, Jamie, was a huge bonus too.. She did amazing with the groomsmen side of photos while Keri was with the bridal party. I was a very "laid back" type of bride where I didn't have many "must have" photo ideas so I was a little worried I'd regret not getting certain posed photos, detailed photos, etc... but Keri did a wonderful job taking the lead on all of that.
Jennifer was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding photos! I couldn't recommend anyone more! She communicated very well and knew exactly what we'd like. We hired Captured Couture for our home wedding reception as we had a destination wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Keri and Ashley. They were professional and met all of our needs with going above and beyond our expectations. They were direct with our family and friends when completing family pictures. They took beautiful photos of us as a couple and our photos were completed within 2 days! We had Jennifer and team at our May 2021 Wedding and postponed November 2021 Reception and they were the absolute best. Jennifer and her entire team are so thoughtful and personable, they added to our enjoyment each time we saw them. There was a quick turn around between the events and when we received the images and video, and the quality was superb! It’s been three months since my wedding and I’m still not over my photos. Very time I look at them I am beyond happy and have a new favorite each time.
Let’s take it back to the beginning, when booking a photographer Jennifer was very professional, responded quick to all my emails and met with myself and my husband and not only answered all our questions but gave really good advice on making our decision. She also said complementary things about the other photographer we were considering which is just classy and speaks to her professionalism.
After my engagement shoot I couldn’t wait to see the wedding photos! As COVID hit and my plans changed Jennifer was great to work with and super flexible and understanding. Again responding quickly and being both patient and personable as we made new arrangements.
Day of my wedding Kerri was my photographer and she was amazing. She kept us on track, was comfortable and great to work with. My family and guest all (it was a very small wedding so no hyperbole here) commented on her professionalism.
Once they came back my photographs exceeded my already high expectations, they are beautifully edited and really just capture the day. Countless people have told me on seeing them how happy we just look and how you really see the emotion of the day.
I really could not be more pleased and highly recommend captured couture!

Jennifer is AMAZING. Her photography is beautiful as you can see for yourself, but beyond that she is everything you could want in a wedding vendor - professional, punctual, great with communication, and she is so proactive about figuring out all the little details in advance so you are 100% ready to go on wedding day and never have to worry about her missing something or dropping the ball. On top of that, she went above and beyond to be supportive and available to talk through COVID-related concerns. She is a blast, makes everything comfortable, and the assistant she brought with her the day of the wedding was amazing to work with too. Jennifer of Captured Couture was incredible! A photographer was the most important vendor to me. She was very professional I felt so confident on my wedding day knowing she was capturing all the important moments! I could tell how confident she and her team were and it was so nice to give her a timeline and must have shot list and know she'd get it all.
I knew I made the right decision after our engagement photos were the best pictures I've ever had taken, she even worked with our dog being in the pictures.

Jennifer is absolutely wonderful to work with! While I was in the middle of booking photographers last year, our venue went bankrupt so I was scrambling to find a new venue. During our initial phone call, where I was just feeling Jennifer out, she offered multiple suggestions of different venues I could look into before we even discussed photography. She took 15 minutes of our call to help me out when she didn't have to, she's just that sweet. Having your pictures taken can definitely be awkward but Jennifer helped us feel at ease and was able to explain her vision for different shots during our engagement shoot. The photos turned out gorgeous and she sent us the whole album the NEXT DAY, which is incredible. During our rescheduling this year, Jennifer has been extremely accommodating and understanding. I had my wedding back in February and I would highly recommend captured couture photography for your wedding. It's going on two months since my wedding & I'm still at a loss of words to describe how great Jennifer was! From the start she has been more of a friend than a vendor. The majority of my friends used the same photographer but I wanted something different. I wanted someone to truly capture my husband & I.
One example of Jennifer's talent is our engagement pictures. Our first date was canceled due to rain and on the rescheduled date it started to rain once we met. I was devastated but Jennifer kept me calm & after some brainstorming I had a crazy idea - there was an old empty barn down the rd. The pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined!
So when it came to the wedding I had no concern with how the pictures would turn out.
Jennifer is much more than a photographer. She is a friend who will help you with anything from your wedding timeline, putting your veil in, keeping the wedding party on track, and overall she will be that reassuring face that you need on one of the most important days of your life.
