I have a love affair with gorgeous light, a soft spot for the Detroit cityscape, and an affinity to capture details and preserve moments as they unfold. I am a locally and internationally published photographer based in the Metro Detroit area but I happily travel all of Michigan and Beyond!

LeAnn is the most amazing assistant anyone could ask for. She is my right hand on a wedding day and she balances the chaos that can sometimes occupy the bliss of a wedding. You see, LeAnn is everywhere I cannot be, she is doing the things I can’t while I am shooting, and she is consistently smiling (which is super infectious). She’s fun and bubbly and loves every moment of a wedding day but backlit it is her FAVORITE!

Jennifer and her team are seriously a dream come true. I could not have imagined better photos that captured our wedding day and all the feelings we had. The wedding went by so fast I almost didn’t remember everything. But then came my stunning photos from Jennifer. She brought me back to that day and I felt like I was reliving the day again. Jennifer and her team are so talented and make you feel comfortable and helped guide us in poses, etc. Will gladly recommend her to anyone in the future wanting exquisite photos and an incredible photographer.

Jennifer did a wonderful job with our wedding photos and videos. She kept everything on schedule the day of our wedding and captured all the photos/moments we had discussed previously. She was professional, on-time, and thorough and our wedding photos and videos turned out amazing. Her assistant and videographer were also great to work with. If you're looking for a great photographer/videographer for your wedding that is reliable and has a natural eye for capturing the best moments/poses/lighting etc., then I would highly recommend Captured Couture.

Jennifer was amazing! Absolutely thrilled with the photos from our wedding day! Jennifer was the only photographer we talked to when picking a wedding photographer. Honestly she was the only one we wanted just based off her social media and website photos alone. Then we had a call with her…and that was it we knew she was the one we wanted to capture our day. We did an engagement session with her and I’m so happy we did. I have t had professional photos taken of me since my high school senior pictures in 1996, so I was a little camera shy. But Jennifer makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera right away, I don’t know how she does it but she does. Our engagement photos came out beautiful! I used one for our wedding website and a different one for our wedding newspaper, it was not an easy decision, since so many of the photos were breathtaking. When it was time for us to work on the wedding day time line and photo locations I was struggling. Jennifer walked us through it all and need scheduled a call with us so we could all get in the same page right away instead of emailing back and forth several times. She came up with several great ideas and made a game plan for good weather as well as rain. When the wedding day came it rained all day. But because is Jennifer’s planning we were able to make it all work. I really had my heart set in photos at the DIA, so I was disappointed that because of the rain that location was out. Jennifer said it didn’t need to be we would just be quick with it. That meant so much to me. We had a vintage car coming for photos and I knew I would have to contact them by 2pm to tell them where to meet us, Jennifer handled that for me too. Because Jennifer is so good at what she does and moves quickly we were able to get an extra photo location in that we didn’t think hadn’t even planned on. Everything she did helped to make the day run smoothly. When I forgot where I put my earring backs she remembered. When my foot had an “incident” she had bandaids. And she knows how to take charge when she needs to without being overbearing. We are so happy with our wedding photos! Jennifer is absolutely the right choice for your wedding day! I would have her 1000 stars if I could!

Jen was recommended to me by another photographer. Jen, throughout our engagement photos, to the days leading up to the day of our wedding, was a pleasure to work with. She was a hug assistance with setting our timeline. She was amazing juggling our crazy fur Baby and working with nieces, and nephew who is on the spectrum and had low patience it was photo time. She was also amazing with giving us time in between photos as my husband went into Afib 2 weeks between before our wedding and was still getting used to his heart meds. I will definitely use Jen for another big event photos.

My wife and I connected with Jennifer about 18 months before our July 2024 wedding, and we were immediately impressed. She was able to make our awkward selves as comfortable as possible during our engagement shoot and build up a rapport. Our wedding couldn’t have been shot better, from details, to the first look and wedding party, through the reception and sunset shots. Even with a large and crazy family, Jennifer and her assistant kept family pictures moving quickly and efficiently, allowing us to rest easy during our perfect day. Jennifer and her team of photographers/videographers delivered an amazing collection of photos, with a perfect six minute video that captured the essence of our special day! (We keep watching it over and over!). They are not only skilled professionals behind the lens, but sincere and invested in caring about their clients as family, not just a paying customer. They are really creative as they seemed to capture those in-between moments (when no one is truly aware) with family and friends. As the Mother of the Bride, I actually depended on them to keep me going at certain moments. For example, I rehearsed the process of gathering up the train to create a perfect bustle on my daughter's dress - and in the moment I just could not seem to pull it together. I felt so stressed. My friend, along with the photographer's assistant, Leanne, stepped in and saved the day. She was so calm, and kind. The team seemed so happy to be documenting our daughter's wedding day, and did absolutely everything they could do to insure that the end product - the photos - represented the love that we all felt in the room. This was a large wedding with a packed schedule at a busy venue, and they did not miss a beat! This is not a day that can be a do-over! It has to be perfect. And we cannot recommend them enough. Thank-you to Captured Couture for giving us these precious memories of a lifetime.

My (now) husband and I chose to hire Jennifer from Captured Couture as our photographer for our wedding. We were both blown away by her images posted on her website and Instagram page and after having a phone interview we were convinced she was the one for us. Jennifer was communicative and so easy to work with. We were able to get a free engagement session with the purchase of our package which was awesome because we were able to meet her in person before our actual wedding. The day of the wedding there were a few minor hiccups as our wedding was the same day as the Detroit Pride fest, and we weren’t sure some of our desired locations would be accessible. Without a moment of hesitation Jennifer, who knows the city of Detroit incredibly well, was able to secure a location for our first look and our wedding party photos which turned out to be perfect. Jennifer and her assistant LeAnn captured every part of our wedding with some much care and attention to detail. Our photos are spectacular and we are so thankful for our photography team. Both my husband and I would definitely recommend Captured Couture to anyone looking for wedding photography.

My husband and I were married last September at the Masonic Temple Detroit. Captured Couture did an amazing job making my husband and I feel most comfortable on our wedding day. Jennifer helped me set up a timeline for our wedding day which took the stress off of us so that we could enjoy everything. This review is well overdue as I got married in September 2023 but I cannot recommend Jennifer enough! After looking at a number of different semi-local photographers in the SE Michigan area, we decided to go with Captured Couture after looking through a number of their galleries and having an intro discussion where we got a chance to test chemistry and talk about some of what we were looking for. Throughout the preparation process Jennifer was incredibly helpful in building a plan to ensure that we were able to ensure that her and her team were properly set up for the most successful memorializing of our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer's team showed up, was incredibly friendly, and did a fantastic job adapting to the inevitable hiccups as different parts of the day slipped or got pulled back to a required time. After the wedding, Jennifer got some teaser photos and videos posted to her Instagram within a few days and then ended up sending the whole package to us way ahead of schedule! When we got the photos, it really reinforced what a good choice we had made in picking Captured Couture to capture our wedding. Jennifer and her team had consistently done a fantastic job to photograph our day and all the special details throughout it, striking a great balance of artistic framing and getting the important shots. We'd recommend Captured Couture to anybody who was looking for a fantastic photographer!

Her use of light, shadow, and angle gave us timeless photos we cannot wait to display forever! Jennifer and the rest of the Captured Couture team were nothing short of amazing! From our first conversation all the way to our wedding day, Jennifer was attentive, punctual, and very professional. We lucked out and found Jennifer on Google while we were searching for a photographer. Jennifer was everything we needed: communicative, artistic, timely and sharp, especially with the timeline of our wedding. Choosing vendors was one of the hardest parts of wedding planning for me but I'm so glad that I found Jennifer and Captured Couture. My husband and I were super nervous about getting our photos taken because we are shy in front of the camera but we were immediately comfortable with Jennifer at our engagement session. We had so much fun! We loved all of the photos so much. On the wedding day, Jennifer and her team worked seamlessly together. They are true professionals and unbelievable at what they do--and you can tell they enjoy it. Within a week and a half from the wedding, I had a gallery of beautiful photos and the video. I'm so glad that we added the videography because the day goes by so quickly but with the video and photo gallery, we can truly relive the day again and again. Our main point of contact was Jennifer and Ashley was the photographer for our intimate wedding in Michigan. We planned our wedding in just 9 months, so at first we weren’t sure whether it was even possible. Jennifer was always so attentive and communicative, we managed to get the show on the road very smoothly with her helpful guidance. We knew we wanted a photographer at our tiny wedding, but we were hesitant to choose because it can be an intimidating price tag. However, we now have photographs that will last a lifetime and it was worth every penny. Jennifer was always so responsive to my many questions and concerns I had. I could expect a response from her within 24 hours and usually much quicker than that. Jennifer made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. I can’t recommend Jennifer and her team enough!! We knew right away when we met her during our engagement shoot that she was the right person to photograph our wedding. We cannot thank Jennifer and the captured couture team enough for how beautifully they captured our special day! Jennifer’s creativity and skill shines through each photograph. The style we were looking for was moody, dark, and intimate, but we also wanted our happiness as well as our family’s to shine through. Jennifer delivered that and so much more. Not only did Jennifer capture our wedding day, she also photographed our engagement. We love our dog and we knew we wanted him part of this wonderful time in our lives but we also knew due to him being so young this may be a difficult task for us. Jennifer was able to work with him during our engagement and she made the process so easy and fun for all three of us. During our planning processes we had tight schedules to work with and Jennifer as well as her team were able to work around everything while making the day as smooth as possible. We have overly shared pictures from both our wedding and our engagement on social media as we truly love how well she captured our happiness love and excitement in each picture she took. We absolutely loved working with Jennifer and Ashley at Captured Couture! I heard about them via a friend who’s wedding photos I loved, and I immediately knew I wanted to work with them for my own wedding. Jennifer promptly scheduled our engagement photo shoot, went through my photography wants and needs, and created a timeline that helped me plan out my wedding day to a T. She was easy to get in touch with, and always responded quickly to my emails. Ashley was our lead photographer, and she was amazing! Every photo in our gallery is beautiful, and she really captured the essence of our wedding day in every way. Our photos are warm, romantic, and nostalgic, and we are so happy with how they turned out. Ashley kept us focused and on time, which I’m sure was difficult with our large wedding party. We also received our entire gallery less than a month after the wedding, which was very exciting. My wife and I loved our captured moments with Captured Couture. We like artsy and candid photos and Jennifer is great at capturing those. We had wonderful but windy weather on the day of our wedding and were still able to capture some beautiful moments. The only issues we had were planning our engagement photos. We chose Detroit so we could look at locations near our wedding. It rained heavily where we had to reschedule twice. Jennifer was very accommodating about this. I was not able to add more time for the photographer but all of the shots I wanted were able to be captured in an 8 hour period. I loved them all and working with her and her assistant.

Where do I even begin to start! The first word that comes to mind is AMAZING!! We loved Jennifer through the whole time we worked with her! From the moments we saw her work from our friends wedding we knew she was the one! She will go above and beyond all your expectations! Her personality alone is awesome but her work speaks for itself! Everyone she brought with her day of (2nd photographer and videographer) were equally amazing and so easy to work with. Photo and video turn around after the wedding was pretty quick as well! It might be a year later I am posting this review, but it is never too late when you are blessed with amazing wedding pictures done by an incredible photographer. Jennifer helped us make sure our timeline matched our visions and made great suggestions based on her expertise. From our first meeting to our engagement pictures to our wedding day we had a great experience with Jennifer. She was able to capture us as a couple and really show our story. When we first saw our wedding photos we were amazed and floored but what she was able to capture. We were especially drawn to Jennifer for her backlit photos and the story she tells about each of her couples through her photos. We loved more the dark and moody feel and Jennifer gave us exactly that. Her use of the light, sunset, and angles are truly incredible. Her backlit photos really set her apart as a photographer. Both Jennifer and her second photographer were respectful of our guests and were never distracting. Overall, they were wonderful and gave us memories to look back on for a lifetime. This is your wedding photographer, trust me!! From the moment I first spoke with Jennifer I knew we made the perfect choice for our wedding and engagement photos! The fact that an engagement session is in the wedding packages is such a great idea because we got to know our wedding photographer, Keri, who was wonderful from start to finish. She got an understanding of how we like to be photographed from the engagement photo sessions, and met all our needs for the wedding day. Keri was so easy to work with and handled all (4) sides of our huge family for photos like a pro. Having a second photographer there, Jamie, was a huge bonus too.. She did amazing with the groomsmen side of photos while Keri was with the bridal party. I was a very "laid back" type of bride where I didn't have many "must have" photo ideas so I was a little worried I'd regret not getting certain posed photos, detailed photos, etc... but Keri did a wonderful job taking the lead on all of that.

We hired Captured Couture for our home wedding reception as we had a destination wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Keri and Ashley. They were professional and met all of our needs with going above and beyond our expectations. They were direct with our family and friends when completing family pictures. They took beautiful photos of us as a couple and our photos were completed within 2 days! We will forever cherish the images they captured as our reception had many wedding guests that we do not see often. Captured Couture and Jennifer as a whole were amazing! The one thing I wanted most out of my wedding day was great photos and Jennifer delivered, in fact, over 1,000 of them (we had 3 photographers from Captured Couture in total). Jennifer and her entire team are so thoughtful and personable, they added to our enjoyment each time we saw them. You must book with them for your photography and videography. Jen and her team are amazing. She is so friendly and easy to work with. She is also easy to get ahold of, which is very important as I had many questions. She takes the time to get to know each couple and really designs a package that is one of a kind. This team is super organized; the day of our wedding we had extra time to take more couple photos and photos with our guests. Since our wedding, we have booked Jen multiple times and will continue to as our family grows.

Jennifer & her team are the best of the best! We hired Jennifer for both our engagement pictures and wedding. Jennifer and team made absolute magic. We ended up buying our entire engagement album. Oh. Emm. Gee. I can’t say enough beautiful things about my daughters wedding photos and video. While searching for a photographer my youngest daughter found Jen. She got our pictures and video to us within two weeks while we were still on our honeymoon!
