Caramoor Center for Music and The Arts

Caramoor was very secluded - only staff and guests of the wedding were around. The grounds had separate beautifully-manicured unique gardens to host our ceremony and cocktail hour. A cedar walkway through tall trees provided a perfect spot for our receiving line and photos. And the reception tent was the perfect blank canvas to design our reception - we chose the colors lighting linens etc...;Everything needs to be brought in-house (which we found to be a positive aspect). The venue is susceptible to weather conditions. If it had rained on our wedding day we would have had to have our ceremony cocktail hour and reception all under the same tent; we wouldn't have been able to take advantage of all of the majestic scenery. Also the humidity on our wedding day caused our wedding cake to buckle.
