I had the most AMAZING experience with Danielle at Carbonneau's Bridal! She was so helpful and attentive and made buying my wedding dress so easy and fun. Thank you, Danielle!!! The establishment's vibe is EVERYTHING!!! Not to mention, I purchased the most gorgeous wedding dress!!!

I had the most wonderful experience at Carbonneaus picking out my wedding gown. Danielle was awesome and really helped me to narrow down my style and help me pick out my BEAUTIFUL bridal gown. I was even able to add some custom alterations to truly make it the dress of my dreams. I can’t rave enough how amazing and stress free of an experience it was shopping for my dress here. I would HIGHLY recommend Carbonneaus to any bride (ask for Danielle - she’s the BEST)!

BUYER BEWARE - sales associate and owner scammed my mother out of $1,000+. I would leave zero stars if I could. I loved a dress here but it needed a LOT of custom alterations for me to love it which the sales associate assured us would be no problem - she promised to call the designer on Monday to confirm but no problem and we should move forward with payment (FIRST MISTAKE!!) She also confirmed multiple times that because there were custom alterations being requested that we were not locked into anything so if the alterations could not be done or I changed my mind there would not be an issue. The mistake I made was believing her and putting down a deposit on a dress that we were unsure could even be made but she gave us cheap champagne and assured us that if the alterations could not be done then obviously no deposit would be taken. On my way home from the bridal store i started to panic about the alterations. I texted the sales associate we worked with and told her i was having reservations about the dress due to the alterations, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE DRESS. She responded no problem but she’ll call the designer anyways to see if the alterations could be done. Okay great - she calls and tells me that the front alterations can be done but the back would need to be raised which is not what we discussed. That was it for me - now I 100% do not want this dress since I was already nervous about alterations and now it’s not even what we discussed. She told me she’d need to discuss with a manager. When the manager calls me she tells me that because they made the phone call to the designer, my $1,000+ deposit will not be refunded because now they are invested in this dress. LOL what. Literally what are you talking about. They want to charge me $1,000 for a phone call?!? I am shook. She also tells me now that actually the alterations can be done exactly as i want them so there’s no reason for me to not order the dress. Um there’s no way that I believe her at this point when she was very specific earlier that the back could not be done how i wanted it. I talked to the manager, i talked to the owner and they are not budging. I’m left feeling extremely taking advantage of and scammed which I told the owner. The following week, the owner calls me back and says after discussing with her team, the sales associate really shouldn’t have called the designer once I told her not to order the dress. Just to reiterate though, a dress was NEVER ORDERED. However, they did a cost analysis, and the phone call really only cost them $300 instead of $1,000+ - mind you, the alterations were only supposed to cost an additional $200 but somehow the phone call itself costs more, but now they’ll refund the $700+ and keep the $300 which is still bullshit but at least it’s something. My mom is actually the one who paid for the dress on her credit card so I have to discuss with her. My mom calls and leaves the owner a message to discuss - no response. I call and leave a message - no response. It has been 3 months and no refund has been issued for any amount and the business has effectively stolen $1,000+ from my mom for absolutely nothing.

My experience at Carbonneau Bridal was absolutely the BEST! Danielle took the time to understand what I kind of had in mind but I really wasn't sure what I wanted. She had many dresses ready to try on. I fell in LOVE with the second dress I tried. I really wanted to make sure it the " THE PERFECT DRESS". Danielle was very patient with me and let me try on about 12 other dresses till I went back to the second dress I tried on. Girls, Don't settle!! When you know, you know. They had every size possible, which helped make you feel comfortable. Highly recommend Carbonneau Bridal and Formalwear! Can't wait to pick out our wedding party dresses and Tux's in a few weeks.

I recently just got married in July and I cannot get over how beautiful my dress was from Carbonneau Bridal that I have to do a review! From the first try on to the final fitting i felt so beautiful and excited to get married. They have such a wide selection of beautiful dresses My mother also got her dress there and she felt the same experience. They were so welcoming and warm and the whole shop was such a pleasant experience.

I said YES to my perfect wedding dress at Carbonneau’s and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by name right away by Danielle B., to the letterboard in my dressing room welcoming me, to the toast after I said yes. Danielle was outstanding, she understood what I was looking for and found several dresses that embodied my vision. The dress I went with was the third dress I tried on, and she found the absolute perfect belt to go with it. Danielle and Lynn truly made my dreams come true. I’m so grateful to Carbonneau’s for making wedding dress shopping such a fantastic experience, even during a pandemic.

My sister and I both bought our MoH dresses here for each other's weddings, as did our mom and bridesmaids. Overall we were happy with the selections, pricing, and the friendly staff. I don't have experience with their wedding dresses, but I would recommend for bridesmaids and moms!

Lynn and her team do a wonderful job to select what you need for your day. I purchased a bridal gown, MOB dress and all bridesmaid dresses here. My dress was stunning, as were all the others. We ran into a few technical issues but Lynn was able to troubleshoot and fix each and every one for a splendid day with perfect beautiful gowns. Thank you !

I found the perfect dress and it was fitted in the shop which was convenient.

I originally ordered one dressed here and when they told me it was all set to try on and pick up, it was not my dress that I ordered! Apparently, they ordered the correct dress but the dress brand shipped the incorrect one. However, I would have hoped the dress shop would have check the styles numbers to their copy of my receipt before calling me. I don’t think their customer service is very good, they did not comfort me much when I was upset to find out my wedding dress was not ordered. However, the owner did give me the choice of ordering a new dress or ordering he same one I originally wanted. I ended up with getting a new dress, and ordering it that day. Again, they did not offer me any discounts for this mix-up, understanding that it may not have been their fault. But it was still a customer service issue. And I left very unhappy. Also not to mention that some of the other girls seemed to be more concerned about dressing up themselves than customers. However, thank you to carbonneaus for my perferct second dress! :)

The staff at Carbonneau Bridal & Formalwear took such great care of me! I purchased my gown, veil and belt in September 2017 for my June 2018 wedding. We had our wedding in NY, so I chose to find a gown closer to where my mom lives in MA. I remembered visiting Carbonneau with my cousin for her prom, so we decided to take a look at their bridal selection when it came time to shop for my wedding dress. Kyla listened to my vision and selected gowns that really fit my style. I chose a Casablanca gown that was the dress of my dreams and paired it with the most beautiful cathedral length veil. Working with vendors from across the country can be stressful but Carbonneau made this west coast bride feel so at ease; from shopping to fittings to alterations. As my wedding day approached, I had my final appointment with Lynn. Lynn made sure that everything was perfect for my big day. I received a hands-on experience that I don't think I would have had in any shop in Los Angeles. I am so happy that I went to Carbonneau!

Carbonneau's dressed my entire wedding party, from my dress, to the bridemaids, to the groom and groomsmen, to the fathers, to the mother of the bride, Carbonneaus's was our one stop shop. Kyla kept me so calm and always handled any problem that might arise. I would recommend them to any future brides.

I bought my wedding dress and found bridesmaid dress for my 4 bridesmaids. I was happy with my experience. My dress ended coming several months earlier (totally surprised and sure it was more of a fluke though!). For the bridesmaids, we had 3 in the same dress and the maid of honor in a different dress. Same designer on their advice. I was overall happy. They did forget to call me when the bridesmaid dresses were ordered, so I had to call them to make sure everything was all set. We also went during prom season and felt a little bit like we weren't as important as the high school girls finding dresses. But overall, I think they are a very nice shop. I'm from Worcester, so it felt like a hidden gem. And they have all kinds of dresses to chose from.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Carbonneau Bridal and Formalwear. First, the staff! They were so kinda and patient with my dozens of questions before the appointment, then Rylee was so tuned in to what I wanted while also hearing what the members of my party were saying. She used all the feedback and my feelings to help me find the PERFECT dress. She kept me calm without minimizing my feelings, worked within our budget and even though I described many different looks, she was able to pull the dress that was what I always imagined (even if I didn't realize that before hand). Everyone at this salon is so professional, patient and made this experience amazing. Next, the salon itself was beautiful, had separate areas for brides and their parties so they weren't distracted or in the middle of the floor like other larger salons. The area for the party was comfortable, spacious and had a large beautiful mirror to see the dress in. Their selection is so large and can accommodate anywhere within their budget range. If you are in the CT, Western Mass or even Boston area, I recommend this salon fully! I was going to do my alterations where I live in NC, but my experience shopping was so amazing I cannot imagine finishing this journey anywhere else. See you in December Carbonneau!

Words cannot express how amazing it was to work with the women at Elegance by Carbonneau. Rylee was my consultant, and she tamed not only my nerves, but the party of 7 women that I had in tow (4 bridesmaids, my mom, step-mom and Godmother, so God bless her). I walked in with a wide range of preferences but some pretty specific needs (a dress that was not too revealing, but would still make me feel like a knockout on my wedding day) and Rylee made sure every box was checked. If you live in MA, don't overlook this gem because the experience was hands-down better then I've seen at the 'David's Bridals' of the world, and far more inviting than the Newbury Street Boutiques. Beyond that, the selection was excellent whether your taste is Gracy Kelly glam, or antique lace, Elegance by Carbonneau will have the dress to make your wedding day spectacular.

Elegance by Carbonneau is amazing. I bought my dress here a few weeks ago, I came for a trunk show and Rylee was super amazing and helpful. She was mindful of my budget and she was able to show me other styles and what did or didn't work for my body. Once she put me in my dress though, it made me feel so beautiful. I highly recommend coming here, everyone was so nice, and they really made the experience enjoyable.

This place is wonderful, it had a very large selection of dresses and sizes. After going to a few other shops we found exactly what we were looking for and my bridesmaid dresses came out beautifully!!! They worked with you and were very accommodating. A definite recommendation.

Pros: Great dress selection, beautiful gowns. If you buy on your first visit, you get a pass to the salon owned by the same owner. Cons: Alterations were a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. First off, I had no idea they outsourced to Perfect Fit Tailoring. No wonder there was an error - I never got to meet the actual seamstress until after there was a problem. I ended up wearing the front panel of the sample dress sewn on to my real dress because the error was so great they had to replace the front and start all over. On my wedding day I took my patchwork dress out of the bag only to find a couple holes in the tooling. My bustle broke during my first dance, only 5 minutes into the ceremony and I had to hold it up the rest of the night. My cups also broke during dancing and fell out. Only redeeming factor: The gowns are gorgeous & after negotiating the shop was willing to refund me for the alterations (this was before I found the holes and before the bustle and cups broke - I'd be interested to see their response). Buy your dress here, but get it altered somewhere - anywhere - else.

5.0 I recently purchased my wedding gown at Carbonneau's in Worcester, MA. I had previously been to a few other bridal stores where I received terrible customer service and was completely dissatisfied. I am so glad that I decided to make an appointment at Carbonneau's! I booked an appointment online, which was super easy and Lynn was the woman who assisted me. She was absolutely amazing and could not have been nicer! She helped me to find the dress of my dreams and made me feel like a princess during my appointment. The store itself is beautiful and they have a runway with big mirrors so you can see yourself in the dresses. I did not have a lot of time to order a dress and they still had an adequate selection of dresses. I would highly recommend this vendor to any bride out there who is searching for the perfect dress. The customer service was outstanding, the selection of dresses was great and the dress I purchased is exquisite. I will be returning soon to purchase a dress for both my mother and grandmother. Ask for Lynn, she is amazing and will definitely give you the top notch experience during your appointment! I could not be happier with my experience at Carbonneau's!

I loved my experience at Elegance by Carbonneau. I was shopping for my Mother of the Groom dress. I found many dresses to try on and Lynn was an excellent sales associate. Not only did I find the perfect dress, Lynn suggested all the accessories to complete my wardrobe. My shopping is completely finished. I would highly recommend Lynn at Elegance!

I looked all over Central Massachusetts for my wedding dress. With a really small budget, some vendors weren't willing to help me at all. But Elegance by Carbonneau did an amazing job finding me dresses that I could afford by showing me samples. I bought my dress and had my fitting done here. No other bridal shop matches the quality and price of their dresses.

I purchased my wedding gown from Elegance by Carbonneau in September of 2014. I can say nothing but good things about this bridal salon. They were very helpful. I enjoyed the private setting of the salon. It was very clean and organized. I loved the runway setting to try on all of the dress options ( which they had a lot of). I ended up buying a dress off the rack. I was extremely happy with my choice and got a lot of compliments on my dress. Would highly recommend.

I have searched high and low for the perfect hair accessory for the big day. Elegance by Carbonneau had the best selection at very honest prices. My hair comb sparkled just enough, and had the perfect color to match my dress. After months of research, I finally found the perfect hairpiece. I even feel that I could wear it again!

I met a representative at a wedding expo. The expectation was that when I came to my appointment I would be meeting with her. I met with someone else. This I can understand. The dressing rooms were small (Hello, I am trying to put on poofy white dresses here!) and the stage to show friends and family was packed with multiple (three this day) families. All of that was easily forgiven. However, letting me fall in love with a dress, only to find out that it is discontinued is not as easy. Also not as easy? Being then told I can buy the sample dress at FULL PRICE, and that "Not to worry" they will have it cleaned and have the 6 inch gash on the front repaired. They didn't budge at all even when I brought up that I would have to have over $400 in alterations done to rebuild the back because it wasn't the right size. The offered discounts later, but by then it was just too late. Especially when you consider my wedding was then getting closer and closer. They clearly have their own commission on their minds and not what is best for their brides. Awful. 1 star because 0 wasn't available.

This place is nice. The staff can be friendly at times. I bought my dress from them and i had a couple alterations that took forever and was not what i expected. They are not very passionate about what they do. You can order your dress from them but DON'T DO ALTERATIONS WITH THEM.

Loved my dress but had some extra waits for repairs which were mostly completed.

I love my dress and veil from Carbonneau's! Kathy was wonderful to work with, she was always easy to get in touch with and very helpful. We also rented all of the men's tuxes through Carbonneau's, which looked great! The only negative thing, was the pricey alterations for my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses.

My bridal party and I went to Carbonnau to pick out bridesmaid dresses and I got my jewelry there. There was a great variety and the prices were reasonable. The staff was young and very personable.

After a nightmare experience in Marlborough, my maids of honor booked me an appt at Elegance. It was wonderful!! Kathy and Lynn were wonderful to work with and always had a smile on their faces. I am thrilled with my dress and so glad I bought it from Elegance. I will definitely use them for my dress needs in the future as well!

Buying my dress from Elegance by Carbonneau was a great experience. The people were friendly and accommodating. They stayed within my budget. I dyed my shoes the color of my bridesmaid dresses (blue) which came out fantastic. There were a few alteration issues but were handled in a professional and timely manner.

I had gone to a bunch of bridal salons but found my dress at Elegance by Carbonneau. They had a great collection of beautiful dresses at a very reasonable price. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the seamstress was a bit harsh. She didn't listen when I asked to get my bustle done a different way and she added cups to my dress that made the top to heavy so it creased. I wouldn't recommend the seamstress they use, I would go someplace else

Excellent customer service. They had my gown ready in three weeks! I loved the dress and the price was irresistible.

I got my dress here, and it was very affordable. It was the only store I went to, and the only downside was the service.

I was very happy with the dress that I purchased through their online site. The responses that I received from staff were always very helpful and timely. I do not have much else to comment on as I did not actually visit the shop in person.

I had a great experience picking out my wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses here. I ended up using Alfred Angelo dress designs for the whole bridal party. Because it is a retail seller though I ended up paying more for the gown than if I just went to an Alfred Angelo store.

I bought my dress there and loved it, everyone said how beautiful my dress was, it was pretty affordable too.

I searched everywhere in the northeast and elegance by carboneau was just the best! Found the most perfect dress by Enzoni there.. Amazing service and can match any price!

Carbonneau's was a fantastic bridal shop to work with! They ordered my dress for me after things did not work out at another bridal shop. My dress came in within 3 month and was perfect! Carbonneau's was also able to offer suggestions about jewelry, hair pieces and provide a recommendation for where to get my dress altered. I felt like I was stopping in there at least once a week for the month leading up to my wedding, and they were always pleasant and eager to help, especially Christine, who had previous experience working with my dress designer and was able to provide a lot of assistance. I ended up purchasing all of my jewelry, as well as my veil and hair piece from there! My look was exactly as I wanted it, and I couldn't have been happier!
