We had 7 out if town guests that stayed overnight for two nights. And,
Bridal hair and makeup that included the bride, 6 attendants and mother of the bride with a hair stylist and a makeup artist. And
Gift opening catered by a local company the day after the wedding that had approximately 35 people attending for brunch.
Management communicated wonderfully with us. We were given access to the home earlier then expected for our event, so that was great! Upon entering the home, we found everything clean, beautiful and well stocked.
We tied the Cargill Pettibone Mansion into our youngest daughter's wedding day. The home was a gathering space for several out if town family members for the weekend.
The ladies of the bridal party had hair and makeup done in the spacious dining room on wedding morning. The windows provided beautiful, natural, lighting for amazing photos.
The photographer took so many detail shots using the beautiful wood and tile flooring and also used the piano and windows. Our daughter dressed for the wedding in the master bedroom - plenty of room for us to help her into her gown, and another beautiful, light filled space for photos. The attendeds dressed in separate rooms that had their own en suite bathrooms.
"First look" occured at the grand staircase-so unique!
The couple read private letters to each other on the front lawn with the magnificent, historic home as a backdrop for more photos.
Guests that came from out of town and stayed in the bedrooms for the weekend repeatedly said the beds were "so comfortable" and that they "slept well."
We held a gift opening and catered brunch the day after the wedding. The kitchen was large enough for guests to file through for a buffet breakfast and the: piano room, living room, dining room and front porch had plenty of space to set up tables for people to eat at.
The Living Room had great space for family and friends to watch the couple open their gifts while they sat comfortably on the sofa.
Everything was wonderful and we have so many beautiful photos.
The evening of the gift opening, after the bride and groom were off, many of us sat out on the front porch of the home - which is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We talked and told stories and reflected on the weekend while a light breeze kept us cool, into the wee hours of the next morning.
I cannot express how great our experience was. Whenever we had any questions prior to the wedding weekend, Matt and his staff were quick to answer. It was such a beautiful space to have for our daughter's wedding weekend! Everything felt so very magical ❤️
Lots of great memories made...
