Carl Elixir Studio

phers had a great eye for composition, light, and moments that matter, and the final gallery exceeded our expectations.

also captured plenty of candid shots. He had an upbeat and excited attitude throughout the day and made getting our photos taken really enjoyable. We had a list of our "must get" photos and he got every one of them. Carl edits all the photos and they all came out spectacular. Very happy we used Carl Elixir at our wedding.

dding day timelines, to getting every photo we asked for. They truly went above and beyond in every aspect. They put all our guests at ease and made getting photos an enjoyable process. We cannot recommend them highly enough!!

htful, and truly passionate about capturing our day in the most authentic and beautiful way. The team made us feel at ease from the moment they arrived. They worked seamlessly in the background, capturing every important moment without disrupting the natural flow of the day. Their attention to detail and artistic vision were clear in every shot—they didn’t miss a thing. When we received the final photos and video, we were completely blown away. The quality, emotion, and storytelling were more than we could have hoped for. Every image and every frame of the film brought our wedding day back to life in such a vivid and heartfelt way. Our friends and family can’t stop talking about how amazing everything looks. If you’re looking for a photography and videography team that goes above and beyond, Carl Elixir is the one to choose. We’re so grateful to have worked with them and will treasure their work for a lifetime.

rl Elixir Studio and would absolutely recommend them for any event.

phone whenever I had questions. He responded to my emails very quickly, sometimes just hours later. Going into the day, I knew what to expect. On the day of our wedding, we had Villa as our photographer and Jabraan as our videographer. They were both fantastic. Our original photo spot for the first look, family/friend photos was way too sunny, so Villa worked hard to find us a spot in the shade instead. Although it was not what I initially envisioned, the photos still turned out great. The only issue was that the new spot was in front of a very reflective building, so you could see some shadows of people standing inside/reflections of people on the outside - but I brought this up to Carl, and he helped me edit those photos based on my requests. We also asked for some changes to our wedding video, and he edited that based on our requests as well. Carl was flexible and easy to work with. Villa and Jabraan were integral in capturing our special day. Our venue was very disorganized, so Villa even helped out with some small tasks that were not part of her job (for example, getting us forks for our cake cutting). I really enjoyed having them there! Looking back, the only slightly rocky part to this experience was coordinating our meet up for the wedding day. I connected briefly with Villa and Jabraan via email leading up to the day, but I wish I had asked for a phone call to discuss specifics (meet up location, backup location, specific shots we wanted to capture, overall vibe we were going for). But to be honest, it was fine because everything still worked out in the end!

ery shot just right, including some special photos of my mom and me that we’ll always treasure. On our wedding day, he and his team (which included Chuck and Jon) brought such great energy and were fun, upbeat, and charismatic, which our guests absolutely loved. They helped keep the vibe light and joyful throughout a day that had its ups and downs. He captured every special moment so beautifully and made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Carl was also very accommodating with some of our editing preferences, and we really appreciated his flexibility and attention to detail. We are so excited to have stunning photos to cherish for years to come.

essional and focused on hitting our key moments throughout the day. Many of our guests commented on how fun Charles is, and how well he worked the crowd to get great shots during the dance portion. Eric, our second shooter, was also great, he really put my husband at ease before the first look. We appreciated our whole team’s dedication to including our special details, like some heirloom pieces I wore and including our family members. We haven’t gotten back our final photos, but Charles also shot our engagement pictures and we really love how they came out. They capture the fun we like to have and how excited we were to get married. Highly recommend Carl Elixir’s team, we feel like we got a good deal for the amazing work our team did for us!

raphs were absolutely amazing. The style of photography and the way everything turned out was better than I could’ve ever imagined. Not only were they the photographers of the wedding, but they became the favorite people of the wedding for most of the guests. I highly recommend this studio!!!

h Andy and Chris who were extremely knowledgeable and worked seamlessly together. We traveled between three venues and they were respectful of each space, blending into the background and capturing really lovely shots of the environments and the people. They did a great job making us feel comfortable and posing us, and they helped us efficiently get pictures with all of our guests! Additionally, they were extremely accommodating, focusing on moments they wanted to capture while allowing guests to request pictures. We would highly recommend Andy, Chris, and Carl and are happy with how the pictures turned out!

t). We are so incredibly grateful we made the choice to hire, Carl, Jeff Song, and their team to capture our day!!!

e is fun and easy to work with and I absolutely love my pre-wedding photos. He is extremely experienced and very good at what he does and I am glad that I booked him for my very first photo shoot. My fiancé and I had a lot of fun that day and it is definitely one of our favourite memories.

ms’ enthusiasm was clear and they went the extra mile, even getting down on the floor during our ceremony to get some shots. Ched, our videographer, even endured a bee sting while filming, that's dedication! Carl Elixir (the studio owner) was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, organized, and always available to answer our questions. His website is clear and informative, providing the necessary details for planning your special day. While we did not get to pick our specific photographers or videographers (they were assigned to us by Carl), I was able to look at Jeff’s IG before signing the contract. I highly recommend doing a trial run with your photographer (e.g., the engagement photos) so you know what you do and don’t like. We opted to do our engagement photos in Old Town Alexandria on December 10 and Carl Elixir delivered the photos to us on December 22, ahead of schedule and the holidays, which was awesome and the best surprise. I highly recommend Carl Elixir and his team for your wedding. Their professionalism, talent, and dedication made for some unforgettable photos that we will have for a lifetime.

have very young children, but they were able to capture beautiful pictures and videos throughout the day. I love the final results, the photographs, and film look incredible! I’m thankful and I recommend this team!

budget which was incredible, you also get amazing value for the price. Ash and Trey were our team of photographers and we are still speechless from the footage. Ash was our primary photographer and worked with us from our engagement shoot to the big day and her energy was infectious. We were so lucky to have had such a wonderful team on our side. We honestly stumbled upon this team but we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them. Anyone would be lucky to have there special day captured by this them.

reasonable and fair for the quality of service and product we received. Prior to the day of, we informed the Studio on what style we were going for (i.e., natural lighting, candid) and that we wanted to focus on photos with guests. Jeff was our photographer and Jabraan was our videographer and they were both so easy to work with. We are not comfortable in front of the camera, but Jeff and Jabraan gave us helpful prompts in a friendly and efficient way. Both of them worked energetically from beginning to end and Jeff even stayed a bit later to take portraits of some remaining guests, which we appreciated. The Studio-produced film was artsy and cinematic and the touched up photos were clean and summery. Can’t go wrong with this experienced Studio that listens to your vision for your wedding and executes it exceptionally.

eir style. Carl Elixir Studio was incredibly easy to work with the entire time, and was transparent throughout the process. They were absolutely worth the cost. We opted for a second photographer, which I would absolutely recommend. One followed me, and one followed my husband. We only kept one photographer for the last hour, which was plenty. We got our photos back in a very reasonable amount of time, and they were perfect!! We gave the photographers almost complete creative control, and their ideas were so creative and fun! They made our wedding parties laugh and enjoy the day, and it was a great experience overall.

had about fitting all we wanted within our timeline. We were fortunate that we got to work with both Jeff and Chuck (photographers) and Jon (videographer) - all of whom were AMAZING. Truly. The energy they brought to the day helped calm our jitters, made us feel so beautiful/handsome and important, and helped keep our spirits high - particularly as we were experiencing some touch-and-go weather. Working with this team was a definite highlight - both in the weeks leading up to our wedding and on the day of. We could not recommend Carl and his team more!! If you want unbelievable photos and footage that you will admire for the rest of your life, look no further!

e us feel comfortable & had a good energy. They were very flexible and open for new ideas. I have sent Carl some inspiration images prior to the event and he successfully captured my vision. I am so happy that we made the right decision by selecting carl as our photographer who beautifully captured the most special moments of my life!! I would definitely recommend Carl as he brings life to the pictures!!

solutely the perfect choice. Ash (photographer) and Ched (videographer) did an incredible job of capturing every detail and emotion of our special day. They were professional and a joy to work with. They made us feel at ease throughout the entire process, from the first look to the last song during the reception. The photos and video are absolutely stunning. Ash captured the essence of our wedding, from the romantic ceremony to the fun and laughter of the reception. We've already gotten so many compliments from our friends and family on the beautiful photos and videos. If you're looking for a talented and professional photographer/videographer team to capture your wedding day, look no further than Carl Elixir. Aside from the incredible final product, the team was very responsive and addressed my concerns and helped me execute my vision for the wedding day!

oth from a photography style and personality standpoint. We were assigned Andy as our photographer, and from the beginning he made us feel comfortable and confident in his ability to capture our day. They are extremely prompt in their response and delivered my wedding photos just two weeks afterward. We are still gushing at the shots we got, even though lighting was a concern with how bright it was during the day, the shots were absolutely beautiful. My husband is also not very good at taking photos or posing, but Andy and his assistant were very patient with him and captured great shots with his groomsmen. I'll be staring at these photos for years to come. I cannot recommend Carl and his team more!

hotographer and he went above and beyond getting shots all around the vineyard where the wedding was held. We enjoyed the experience and we would definitely recommend this vendor.

the perfect places to take photos. They also dealt with my crazy family which no many people can do. We appreciate their hard work and amazing talent. We would recommend Jeff and Jon a million times over.

a room in a respectful way. She made us feel very comfortable. She is able to get the shots in a timely manner without sacrificing detail. She is so creative and gets beautiful shots above and beyond expectations. She helped pose us but also allowed us to be ourselves. The videographers work with the photographers as a team so they knew how to compliment each other without getting in the way of the shot. I honestly forgot they were there which was perfect because they were able to capture all of the moments and allowed us to be in the moment. The photos were edited and sent to us in a timely manner. We are very happy with the end results! And the price is definitely worth the quality of service you receive!

r photographer and videographer, was a joy and a testament to the professionalism and talent of this exceptional company. Both of our masters including Carl himself took the time to get to know us as a couple, our story, and the specific moments we wanted to capture. This personalized approach made us feel confident that we were in the right hands. On the day of the wedding, the team of 4 exceeded our expectations. Our master photographer was basically our hype man - being able to capture even my shy niece's antics and glances with every emotion and detail. We are excitedly awaiting our photos and video and we're sure each is going to be a work of art. If you're searching for a wedding photography company that combines talent, professionalism, and a genuine love for their craft, look no further than Carl Elixir Photography.

hroughout the process and he always had excellent suggestions that didn't break the bank. Our photographer, Charles, absolutely KILLED IT! His understanding of light and angles produced unforgettable photos that I would never had thought of. He was hustling all night, everywhere I looked he was taking photos of guests, us, or wedding details. I don't know if this amazing man ever took a break. Charles was charismatic and hilarious which put our entire wedding party at ease especially during our photo session. I cannot tell you how many guests approached me that night and the days after speaking his praise and saying how lovely he was. Charles' energy was contagious and I truly think no photographer could ever fill his shoes. We are so indebted to him! You will not regret hiring Carl Elixir Studio and I highly suggest you request Charles if he is available.

beautiful moments of us, our families, and guests. We just got our photos back and have been grinning ear to ear looking through them. I would highly recommend working with him!

ll the special moments of the day, from candid to posed shots. The photos were beautifully composed, with an excellent eye for detail and a fundamental understanding of the lighting and angles that would create the best images. What truly impressed me was the photographer's ability to blend into the background, capturing natural moments without being intrusive toward the honoree and guests. They were also able to easily manage a large group of people, directing us in a way that felt natural and not overly posed. The photographer was also highly professional, arriving early to set up their equipment and staying until the very end of the night to ensure they captured all the event’s key moments. The final product, a collection of high-quality digital images, was delivered promptly and looked stunning. We are thrilled with the photos and will cherish them for years to come.
