I cannot say enough amazing things about Carla. She is absolutely the BEST of the BEST and I couldn't recommend her more. Not only is Carla an incredible photographer, but she was ...
also clear with communication at all times, on top of every detail, so incredibly fun & warm and so much more. We did an engagement shoot and her and immediately clicked. She made us feel comfortable and amazing and it truly showed in the pictures. We just had our wedding this past weekend and it went off without a hitch. She was absolutely perfect and we can't wait to see our wedding photos!!!
We can't say enough about how much we loved working with Carla Gates. My daughter had a vision of how she wanted her wedding to look and wanted to ensure that the photographer c...
aptured every detail. Carla was the sweetest person to work with and has such an eye for detail and lighting. All the photos were beyond our expectations! Do not hesitate to book Carla for your wedding.... photography is one of the most important things to remember the big day. Carla's work will be something you will be loving for years and years to come! Thank you again Carla!!!
Carla made us feel extremely comfortable while taking our wedding day photos. We didn't get a chance to take engagement photos with her so that chemistry being there was even more ...

ds' wedding photography before I found Carla. Her photos truly stand apart from the rest. She is also just the sweetest person to work with, she truly cares about her clients and capturing what is important to them on their special day.
She also has a great balance about her, she kept everyone on schedule and on time with all the wedding/reception shots without ever being pushy or demanding. I cannot recommend Carla enough!! :)
Carla Gates perfectly captured all the love and joy from our wedding day in October 2016. Leading up to the wedding, she really took the time to get to know my husband and I, and w...
hat was important to us in documenting our special day. Carla is incredibly creative and has exquisite attention to detail - whether its the angle she had me tilt the bouquet or little props she used to photograph our rings - all these details add such a richness to the photos. What I love most about our photos, however, is how she really captured the personalities and emotions of the 'person' behind all the dresses, tuxes, flowers, and details. You can see our love story unfolding within each chapter of the entire day. When I look at them, I'm truly experiencing the day again because you can really feel the love between my husband and I, and our family and friends. Carla is a very warm, kind person and she kept us very relaxed throughout the entire day with her calm demeanor and sense of humor. I think that relaxation and comfort level with Carla really comes across in the natural look and feel of the photos. After the wedding, Carla was very responsive while we were waiting for the photos and even gave me and my mom a 'sneak peek' of a few photos so we could send them out in Christmas Cards! The layout for the albums that she designed was beautiful as well, and she was very helpful and responsive with our questions and comments as we made a few revisions. Overall I can't say enough wonderful things about Carla. The pure love and joy from our wedding day shines through our photographs, and I am so grateful to have these to cherish our entire lives!

ures are absolutely beautiful. We have received countless comments on how stunning they are and we couldn’t agree more. Carla has an unbelievable talent for capturing each moment perfectly. We can’t even pick our favorites because we love them all! After researching photographers for months, I met with Carla and knew right away that she would be perfect. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also a super fun and wonderful person to be around. Carla makes everyone feel at ease and truly made taking pictures so much fun. Not only that, but she is incredibly attentive to detail and very professional. She was flexible when any plans needed changing and was very quick to respond to any questions and concerns. She made sure that every detail was in line before the wedding day, sending timelines and double checking everything with us. She gave great suggestions for making the day run smoother and overall helped ensure that our day flowed perfectly. On our wedding day, everyone kept commenting on how awesome she was. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with such a thoughtful and talented photographer and can’t recommend her enough!

pours all of herself into capturing the most precious moments of any occasion. lad she could make it out there! On the wedding day, she captured every moment beautifully. She really has a talented eye for taking stunning pictures. Our family and friends even commented on how dedicated she was and she's super friendly. I am very picky about pictures so I was nervous to see how they turned out. When Carla sent us our photos, my jaw dropped at how beautiful they were! We love so many of them that we can't decide which ones to display in our home. That is a wonderful problem to have! Everyone loves our photos! I spent weeks looking for the perfect photographer. Save yourself the time and book Carla ASAP! Trust that she'll do an amazing job and you'll love looking at your wedding photos. :)

She is a very personable, passionate, and fun photographer to work with as well. She did an awesome job at capturing everything at the wedding, and making sure we got all of the shots we wanted. out of town bride planning remotely, and Carla was incredibly responsive via email. Her online questionnaire was incredibly detailed and helped to outline what we wanted most out of our wedding photos. On the actual day of the wedding, she served as a photographer and so much more. From helping me fastening the buttons of my dress, to adjusting my veil, to fixing makeup smudges, she was truly a right-hand woman on the day of. I don't consider myself someone very comfortable in front of a camera, but Carla is GREAT at directing a shot, telling you how to hold your head and where to look, and making everything look natural. We were over-the-moon thrilled with our photos and couldn't recommend Carla enough to anyone looking for a superstar photographer.

redibly friendly, responsive, professional and flexible. Once we signed, she sent us a detailed questionnaire to get to know us as a couple, our plans for our wedding, and about our vision for the pictures - we just loved that she cared to hear our story and truly understand exactly what we were looking for. Carla had great ideas and suggestions, but never tried to push us in one direction or another; she made sure that everything we did would work well, but was also true to us. Carla was super organized ahead of time and had everything planned out so that both our engagement shoot and wedding day ran smoothly and nothing was left off or not as expected. When we received our picture disks in the mail we were blown away with how beautifully everything was packaged. It was clear that Carla puts the same amazing dedication and care into all aspects of her work. Working with Carla felt like working with a friend- she could not have been more sweet, positive, supportive and kind every step of the way. We could not be happier with our decision to work with Carla and would make the same choice 1000 times over if we had to! HIGHLY recommend!!

sold! Carla is the sweetest soul, and was so easy to work with, I felt like I had known her forever- which is a great trait for a wedding photographer. She definitely did her research on my husband and I with her pre-wedding questionnaires and made sure she knew exactly what we were wanting out of our photos. On the day of, Carla and her assistant arrived early and started shooting instantly. Her calming presence was such a plus on our hectic wedding day, and she tried to make our shoots as relaxed and natural as possible. the process; pre-wedding, wedding day and post wedding. She was very proactive throughout the whole process which I can tell you is so nice when you are planning a wedding (one less vendor you need to follow up on). When I first started looking at photographers portfolios and the prices, my first inclination was to go with the cheaper one since everything else starts to add up quickly. But as I kept looking more and more, I knew that the photos really needed to reflect our style as a couple, look natural and highlight the photographer's artistic abilities. When I saw Carla's portfolio just casually searching online, I knew she was the one, kinda like when you know you have picked the right dress. She also saved me from a makeup disaster a week from my wedding by referring several people in her network of which I ended up working with one who did an incredible job! Case in point, Carla doesn't disappoint! She has an amazing eye for photography, has great business sense and is such a warm and friendly person who is terrific to work with on your big day.

ss from preparation through the delivery of the photos. Her energy is easy, playful, joyful and that came shining through in the photos. She took special care to make sure that we captured the small moments and the depth of our relationship. She has an incredible capacity to both listen to what we wanted in our photos AND see the magic in a space to open up even more possibility for the photos. My husband and I were floored to see the beauty of the day reflected back to us through Carla's eyes, a bright reminder of the beginning of our marraige. Thank you, Carla! You have given us a huge gift by sharing yours with us.

do to a magical setting. Absolutely everyone looked like a rockstar and she did a great job capturing every moment
2. For pictures that would typically be posed, she did a great job creating a moment and then capturing it. She made every moment comfortable and real. No awkwardness with this photographer!
3. She is professional and real. She is someone that anyone would want to spend their entire day with-- which is important... because you will.

verything seem seamless and easy, which was so great since all other aspects of wedding planning were stressful. Our favorite part of working with Carla was her personality, she is someone you absolutely love to be around. We always felt so comfortable with her and really trusted her ideas. She made the entire experience a blast, and we were so sad when the big day was over that we wouldn't be seeing her around anymore. When we got our final pictures from her, we really could not believe how beautiful they were. It was more than we ever imagined and she captured everything so beautifully!! We've had countless people tell us they were the best wedding pictures they'd ever seen, and we had to agree. Carla is truly the best there is!

what we wanted, and worked with us to find an option that stayed within the budget. She spent a great deal of time getting to know us prior to our engagement pictures, and come to day of the wedding she was not only our photographer but also a very good friend. I have been told by numerous people that our pictures look like something out of a magazine and I would definitely have to agree. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Carla, and would recommend her to anyone looking to find someone to capture their special day!
Fun, cheerful, sweet, goofy... Carla made the session just perfect.
People are STILL gushing over our engagement photos, and we have the memories of a beautiful day with Carla.
