No words can properly describe how grateful I am to have hired Carly as our wedding day photographer. First Carly did our engagement photos and all I can say is WOW! She made the experience so fun and easy and our pictures turned out absolutely STUNNING. Then on our wedding day Carly was once again an absolute rockstar. Carly is THE BEST!! We loved every second of working with her for both our engagement and wedding photos. She was so easy to work with throughout the whole planning process and was responsive and helpful with all our our questions! Carly was SO fun to shoot with and she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Carly gets a 10/10. She is professional, funny, kind and takes amazing photos. I met with her for coffee before we booked her and knew she would be a good fit into our day. We had her take engagement photos- which I did not think I would appreciate- and now they are plastered all over our house. They’re stunning. Then the wedding day came along and Carly was amazing to have around. She gives fantastic direction for people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera but also captures the natural moments of the day. Carly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to give us beautiful photos of the day. She has great energy and is so easy to be around. We could not give her a higher recommendation!!

Carly is THE BEST! There aren’t enough positive words in the dictionary to describe what a joy she is to work with. Her bubbly personality made everyone (especially myself) feel SO incredible and relaxed. She basically just felt like an extension to my bridal party. Not only is she just all around good human and person to be around, her pictures of our special day are truly stunning. We used Carly for our engagement photos and she was absolutely phenomenal. We had a wonderful time and she made us feel so comfortable. We were blown away by her photos! So many great photos it was hard to pick one for our "Save the Dates." We had her booked for our wedding and needed to switch our date, unfortunately, she was already booked for our new date (not surprised because she was so awesome) and we are truly heartbroken that she couldn't shoot our wedding. 10/10 would recommend Carly. She's fun, laid back and so enjoyable to be around.

Carly was truly amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. She made us feel completely at ease during our engagement photos and captured some amazing moments with us (and our dog!). When COVID hit, she didn't skip a beat, and was able to make the trip to Brainerd for our new date, even though she had other weddings in Minneapolis that same weekend. Her dedication to our day was really remarkable. The day of the wedding, she was calm, supportive, funny, and OMG she got some unbelievable photographs!!! Her and Anni fit perfectly into our group of friends and family, and were 100% on board with our safety protocol for COVID. I couldn't believe it when we received a preview within days of our wedding. The shots were stunning!! I cannot recommend Carly enough! She's amazing!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Carly and the work she does. From day one, Carly made our experience so fun and easy going, even with changes due to Covid-19, Carly was super flexible and helpful through it all. Carly truly provided 5 star service. During the crazy covid-19, she was there to help plan our schedule for the day and for the photos. She was so understanding and helpful. Not to mention, her photos are beautiful! The photos she takes and her editing. Carly has wonderfully fun personality, so she has no trouble hanging out with the wedding party or guests throughout the day. I would 100% choose Carly again.

If I could give Carly 10 stars I would without a question. She just recently shot our wedding & we’re already obsessed with the sneak peak photos! She is an amazing photographer, her energy is contagious, she’s professional yet fun, & how comfortable she makes you feel is incredible! The communication was always good & her ability to keep the photo timeline flowing was top notch; coming from a person with a large family that was huge for us! Carly is awesome! Not only are her photos AMAZING but she has the best personality. You spend your whole wedding day with your photographer by your side so you want someone who is easy going, calming, and most importantly fun. Carly is just that! Our whole wedding party raved about how much they loved being with her and were all super impressed (and relieved) by how quickly we were able to get our photos done! We absolutely love how our photos turn out mostly because she brought out our personalities and made us feel so natural in front of the camera.

Carly is the best!!! Hands down would recommend her to any bride. She knows what she’s doing and is extremely reliable! Day of the wedding she was so on top of each photo that we were ahead of schedule the whole time, which as a bride is extremely appreciated. She also did not hesitate to handle any situation that came up that would’ve prohibited her from capturing the best angles. She’s literally a brides dream! Also, her pictures are so fresh and bright, my husband and I want to print every single one because she captured each moment so perfectly! Carly did SUCH a great job at our wedding. I'm very detail oriented and wanted things to be just right, and Carly did such a great job leading up to the wedding making sure I was comfortable working with her. Come the day of, I knew I could trust her to take amazing photos! My husband said many times how much he liked working with Carly because she was so laid back, always helping us pose in ways that showcased our personalities, and made him feel comfortable in front of the camera. She was instrumental in keeping our schedule on track all day and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. I loved that we had a second shooter (shoutout to Annie for carrying around all our stuff!!) to really get some awesome photos from the back of the ceremony that we would have missed without her! To all brides out there: if you book with Carly you will get much more than just a photographer, you'll get a day of coordinator, a personal stylist, and an awesome person to share your day with. Carly is absolutely AMAZING! Not only is her work breathtaking, she is funny, energetic, and an absolute blast to work with. She is also far more than just a photographer - she helps with ANYTHING you need. She carried cookies to the chapel for me, pinned on all the boutonnieres (this alone was worth the cost of hiring her!) and was extremely helpful with planning out our day of timeline. Hiring Carly is one of the best wedding decisions I made.

Carly was great to work with. She specializes in natural looking photos which I love. She was willing to work with our schedule so she was there for all parts of the day from getting ready to the bouquet toss.

I would absolutely recommend Carly! She made us so comfortable in our engagement photos, she is excellent at giving direction but also letting you be you. She is so fun and funny with out being over bearing at all! She was EXCELLENT the day of our wedding. Again she was great with directions and coordinating people. She does the perfect combination of candid photos with posed. She know the important parts of the day to capture. Her photos are beautiful and I recommend her highly!

As a wedding photographer myself. This is what I thought would be the hardest wedding planning decision we would have to make. However, 5 minutes into meeting with Carly I knew she was what I was looking for. She was straight forward, easy to work with one flat rate so you knew what to expect all the way through. Engagement pictures were gorgouse and it was a blast to work with Carly. Day off the wedding she was there but at the same time you would forget she was there. Wendy was our second shooter. Together they made family photos quick and painless, and gave direction and it was need to keep things moving. They even helped putting last minute details out. The final images are GORGOUSE. So Carly was probably the easiest and best decision we made during wedding planning. Would book her in the future in a heart beat.

Carly photographed our friends' wedding that we were in, and we got to know her and see her style through them, and we loved it, so we had her to shoot our wedding and engagement pictures too. We loved working with her and are SO happy with the results! She is so fun, energetic and so great at making anyone feel comfortable. We had a real hot summer day (95ish) for our outdoor garden wedding and she was a champ. She (and her second shooter) handled being outside in the heat all day so well and were so quick and organized in getting all our portrait/bridal party/family pictures done. Everyone was impressed :) We also had a quick sunset session which was super fun and we got gorgeous pictures! Highly recommend Carly!

We contacted Carly on fairly short notice about shooting our intimate wedding. She exceeded our expectations in every way! Her photos are absolutely beautiful, but I also really appreciated her responsiveness and her ability to make us feel comfortable being photographed for hours. Carly was AMAZING. We are not super comfortable in front of the camera and she made us feel like we were just hanging out, taking photos during our portraits, and we barely new she was there during the ceremony and reception. Our wedding photos are stunning and we couldn’t be happier. We had a few hiccups during the day but we barely noticed because Carly was so organized and did more than our day of coordinator to keep us on time and happy.

We had Carly shoot our wedding in December and holy crap, was it fun. When I looked for wedding photographers I saw tons who I thought could fit the bill, photo quality wise. So I was mostly looking for someone who was both talented and that I knew could help me stay calm and have fun on the wedding day, and have fun we did! Carly kept the day running so smoothly and the whole bridal party loved her, so we have some awesome shots of us relaxed and having fun. Book her!!

We were so fortunate to have found Carly for our wedding photographer. Starting with a fun and relaxed engagement session and ending with the last photo of our wedding night we couldn't have been happier with the quality, professionalism, and above and beyond service we received. She and Jack were a joy and comfort to have as a significant part of our wedding day. They were everywhere, capturing every moment. They coordinated seamlessly with the DJ/Host and our wedding coordinator and seemed to have as much fun as our guests. We have beautiful wedding photos and without hesitation would choose Carly Mac Photography again.

Carly reached out to us to do an engagement session and our only regret afterwards was that we had already booked a photographer for our wedding. She has a personality that makes it so easy to relax and be yourself (and laugh), and her photos are such high-quality. She was able to guide us into character for a few classic/posed shots, but mainly focused on the story-telling of who we are and captured us perfectly with candid shots. I'd 10/10 recommend hiring her for your big day or any occasion. She rocks.

If I could give Carly & Annie 30 stars, I would. Unlimited stars. Her photos were 100% perfection - classy, whimsical, & pure. The photos are stunning, beautiful, & so special to us. Carly is an amazing photographer. We recently had her do our wedding at Jax Cafe and we are thrilled with what she delivered. For a special day like a wedding, you don't want to be thinking about the details. Carly did that for us. She is funny, creative, very skilled at photo editing (and its all about editing in photography), and a delight to have at an event. We didn't have to think about "did she get that shot" - she got it. Very professional, very reasonably priced, and we'll be hiring her again for future photo assignments.

I was so lucky to have Carly in our last-minute wedding. Everything was rushed and I was frustrated all the time, especially with photography because I have such self-loathe about my pictures for many years, I just never thought I look good in them, and I don't think I will every be. However, Carly took my confidence my for me by taking some actually gorgeous pictures for me and my husband. I found 95% of her pictures acceptable, which was insane because when I work with other photographers that rate was usually 30%. She is so professional, passionate and energetic. We all love her and we actually included her in our reception dinner where my guests gave her a lot of compliments. And her rate is very reasonable comparing to other photographers.

Carly and her assistant went above and beyond the call of duty for our wedding! Our photos are beautiful and they were great with our young children. As an added bonus many of our guests have beautiful pictures from her at the reception! We were nervous about her being a little wet behind the ears but it paid off big time!
