Carly did the flowers for my daughter's wedding on 4/30/22. She was a dream to work with. Always quick to get back with us, and understood my daughter's vision from Day 1. Carly was my absolute dream florist. I had the honor of working with her for my COVID ceremony in 2020 and my full reception in 2021. She has the most creative mind when it comes to design, and was quickly able to understand my vision and bring it to life. We didn’t think we cared about the flowers at our wedding and initially planned to do the bare minimum and DIY our centerpieces with thrifted items. My mom found Carly and told me to at least fill out her information form. We met, and Carly provided me with a moodboard for our wedding, which completely changed the way we viewed our wedding florals. Carly’s florals set the entire mood for our wedding. We have received endless compliments on the flowers and how unique they were. Carly answered every email and never made me feel like I inconvenienced her (even when counts and designs changed over our engagement). We loved working with Carly. Our flower arrangements were stunning and Carly helped our vision come to life. Our wedding night at Ault Park felt whimsical and romantic. Carly is very creative and helped us come up with a "statement" piece above our dining table that was gorgeous. She communicated each detail along the way, listened to our feedback, worked within our budget, and the end result was great. She was punctual delivering personal flowers the day of the wedding, and her team did all setup and breakdown, etc., leaving us one less thing to think about on the actual day of the wedding. Carly was amazing to work with! We originally booked her in 2019 for our 2020 wedding, which was postponed to 2021. She instantly knew the vision I had for flowers and color palette in 2019 and even worked with me to adjust some changes two years later when our wedding was finally approaching. The detailed proposal she provided was so personal and just helpful in picturing everything. I truly don’t even know where to begin with just how wonderful our wedding flowers were. Carly did an amazing job with our flowers. Not to mention one of the sweetest people out there. I was very lost and may have changed directions in color pallets a couple times, but she was very accommodating and updated design plans without hesitation. She helped guide me in the right direction so everything looked cohesive. Being able to rent candle pieces as centerpieces was also a plus. Carly is so creative! She created the most elegant beautiful fragrant arrangements for our daughters wedding. The mix of flowers, greenery, candles, terrariums turned the Art Museum into a beautiful indoor garden. She listened to my daughters requests and visions and mine too. Carly is so easy to work with and if I didn’t like something I didn’t feel as though I couldn’t tell. Since our daughters wedding needed for be postponed for over a year, we developed an amazing friendship. People will be talking long after your wedding about how beautiful all the flowers and centerpieces were. She is amazing.

Carly was so great to work with! She was able to take a jumbled pinterest board of ideas I had and turn it into a cohesive, beautiful day (all while just communicating though email during the heart of COVID quarantine) The centerpieces were even more grand than I had imagined, we got so many compliments on them! She even made last minute changes I requested due to reduction in table numbers with COVID. Flowers were very important to the vision I wanted to create, and Carly definitely fulfilled that!

Carly was amazing to work with for my wedding last year on 9/28 at the Cincinnati Club. She was always extremely responsive to any question, request or idea I had. I even decided to decorate my church aisle last minute and with no hesitation she made it come to life perfectly. She also let me rent the most beautiful vases for both the church and reception-so convenient. THE FLOWERS WERE STUNNING. She made everything so easy. I can't recommend Carly enough. Carly did such a great job with everything leading up to and during the wedding! Starting from the beginning, communications were quick and efficient and she put together an amazing proposal that summed up everything I wanted with only the help of my Pinterest board in the first week of talking with her. She was very flexible with any changes I wanted to make, and still showed up to help set up everything on the day of the wedding at 8 months pregnant. Everything was executed perfectly; so beautiful and we received so many compliments on the bouquets, centerpieces and the other decor she provided! Carly is awesome! :)

Carly's work is gorgeous. As a generally type A person who needs to control all details, I left the flowers almost entirely up to Carly. I couldn't have been more pleased - they were the prettiest flowers I've ever seen. My guests loved them, I loved them, and they totally fit with the colors and mood of our wedding. Carly is so nice and very easy to work with. My friends couldn't believe I didn't try to have more input in the flowers, but I honestly didn't need to. She understood my vision from the beginning and executed it flawlessly. I highly recommend booking Carly, you will not be disappointed.

I liked that Carly offered two different options for us - one for pick up and one full service offerings. I had met with other florists and none of them gave this offering and I really appreciated it. We ended up doing the pick up option since our wedding planner used to be a florist and Carly had everything ready to go for us on the day, packaged to transport. She listened to what I wanted for my flowers and delivered. I had specific requests and specific flowers that I didn't want included in any of my floral arrangements and she made sure to follow my requests. She was so easy to work with and her communication was top-notch. She always responded within 24 hours which is much appreciated as a bride who is working with multiple vendors.

Carly is AMAZING! I received a recommendation for Carly when I was looking for a florist to help bring my "floral hair crown vision" to life. I contacted Carly immediately and she was a pleasure to work with from the start! She made the most amazing greenery crowns for all my bridesmaids and made THE most gorgeous floral hair comb for myself (the bride). It was exactly what I had envisioned. Carly was absolutely perfect for our wedding! When we first began looking for a florist, we had ideas but really didn’t know what we were looking for. After giving a very general description of our ideas, Carly came up with a perfect vision for our wedding. Everything turned out perfect and she was absolutely wonderful to work with! Had a pretty good experience with Carly Messmer Floral Design. She was super nice, talented, and fun to work with- I really enjoyed her proposal/ creative process and she was budget friendly. My only negative comment would be about my bridal bouquet- I liked the florals she chose for it, but it was not the shape I had asked for (I wanted a more organic shape with lots of green) or size I had hoped for (wasn’t much bigger than the bridesmaid bouquets). Also, some of the flowers looked like they were starting to wilt. Other than that, I loved everything- especially the ceremony arch floral decor and the reception table decor. She even added on a free throw bouquet and flower crowns for the flower girls. So even though there were a couple things I wasn’t crazy about I would definitely still recommend her!

Carly was very easy to work with. She asked us what color/varietal flowers we were looking for and delivered the best possible results within our budget. The results were fantastic. We had concerns over the resiliency of hydrangeas but she put us completely at ease (and after seeing the results, rightfully so). Do not let the small number of reviews fool you! I literally cannot say enough great things about working with Carly! From the moment I emailed her I knew I wanted her to do my wedding flowers. She is so responsive and really listens to what you want and in my case of sending pinterest photos and showing her what I liked. Her prices are SO affordable for what I was wanting. I felt like I received personalized service and that I know I would not have received from anywhere else. She even sent me photos of the flowers when she picked them up so I could see everything before it arrived all nicely delivered to my venue on the big day. YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE HER! You will be making the best decision ever for you big day!

Carly, owner of Surcee Flowers, is simply the best! Carly is professional, personable, and oh so talented! These are a few reasons why I decided to choose Carly over other florists: 1. She made me feel like a friend, not a client upon our first meeting. At this meeting she had already created a Pinterest board for my wedding flowers based off the vision I told her I was going for and it was so helpful to have a visual to really understand what she was explaining to me. 2. Budget. This was extremely important to my fiancé and me. Carly worked with me on changing floral options MULTIPLE TIMES (an embarrassing amount lol) to be the most cost effective, yet still the look we wanted to incorporate in our special day. 3. Trust. I had complete trust in Carly and her ability to make everything just right even without me being present in the setting up process. I love that I felt relaxed the day of the wedding knowing that Carly was in control. 4. Local. I love that Carly does her best to get the flower she uses from local flower farms. Carly was a dream to work with and I would recommend her a million times over!

One of the BEST decisions we made in our wedding planning was choosing Carly from Surcee Florals to do our wedding flowers! When I first contacted Carly, what immediately stood out to me was 1) how prompt Carly was at responding to all of our communications and 2) also how detailed and personalized her initial consultation is compared to the other three florists I originally reached out to. She first sends you a super detailed welcome packet that lays out the whole floral process leading up to your big day. (I found this SO helpful and it was something I actually went back and referred to often during the planning process!) I also LOVED that she sends you an event proposal with ACTUAL PICTURES of the different types of florals she's thinking of for your bouquets/boutonnieres/center pieces/focal arrangements.etc personalized specially for you based upon your style/Pinterest board/initial conversation! (Perfect since I know basic floral types but not what is complementary with them/good for fillers/greenery options/whats in season) Comparatively, two of the other florists I had reached out to had literally just sent me a number as my quote...and that's it! So it was seriously a no brainer for me because not only was my Surcee Florals consultation with Carly wayyyy more personalized than any other florist in Cincy; Surcee Florals was also the BEST value too! During the planning process itself, it was super easy to communicate with Carly by email. My now husband and I also met up and grabbed coffee with Carly in person a few months prior to the wedding for our Final Details meeting and not only is she the absolute sweetest person, she also made us feel very confident in our final floral decisions and the day of timeline! She coordinated with our reception venue and cake vendor with no problem so we didn't have to! She was also amazing when literally the Sunday before our Saturday wedding, we found out that we needed 3 additional boutonnieres made last minute for three young ring bearers of ours! She somehow made it happen with three special magnet-attached (instead of pin) boutonnieres for the three boys and it was ready along with the rest of our florals Saturday morning! Visually you couldn't even tell that it was a last minute addition to our order! Last but not least, I had emailed Carly suuuuper late at like 3am the morning of our wedding to let her know which hotel room number we were getting ready in the next day so she would know where to drop off our flowers. That morning, when she came with her hubby to drop off our bouquets/boutonnieres, she brought me a huge cold brew from Coffee Emporium because she saw how late I had been up the night before. Like seriously HOW thoughtful and sweet was that?! It was seriously the best start to my wedding day. :) So I realize this review is now basically a novel, but I am seriously so so thankful for Carly and Surcee Florals for doing our wedding flowers last month! I really wanted bright and colorful flowers and it turned out better than I could have imagined! I absolutely LOVED my bridal bouquet! We also received so many compliments from everyone: my bridesmaids loved their bouquets, the boys loved their boutonnieres/their moms appreciated they were pin-less, and our guests (and even OTHER vendors!) were all complimenting our bright centerpieces/palmy focal arrangements! SO SO happy! Thank you Carly! I have already recommended you to my friends getting married next year in Cincy!
