The company name comes from Matt’s last name, Garofalo. Garofalo is an Italian word for carnation. We loved every moment of the process from meeting them to spending our wedding day together to the communication afterwards. We felt so comfortable with them on our wedding day and it honestly felt like we were spending time with friends. They captured so many meaningful moments and created a video which authentically reflected us as a couple and the emotion of our wedding day. ach other and so Matt and Penny could understand my wife and I's relationship. This helped immensely on the day of the wedding because i felt like i was seeing an old friend. After being in a few weddings in the past few years, some videographers feel like an afterthought, and you end up with awkward poses or shots, you get none of that with Carnation Films. Half of the time it's just you and your spouse being yourselves and they're there to capture a real moment, not fake staged ones. Their chemistry with our friends was unmatched, they showed up and captured our day without feeling weird or out of place. Like an old friend that you haven't seen in awhile that you can just click with. Our preview of our wedding video was incredible and i can't wait to see the fully finished product. Matt and Penny are genuine people who excel at their craft, I can't recommend them enough if you're looking for a videographer.

Carnation Films did such a beautiful job individualizing our video, while making it universally beautiful. They took the time to get to know us as a couple, and you can tell in their incredible work. flexible with our ideas and preferences, and so fun to be around! They are kind and down to earth and they made it so easy to be comfortable in front of the camera, which my husband and I certainly were not used to! They took all the steps needed to prepare us for the wedding, like having an initial brainstorm/get to know us Zoom meeting and an engagement video session which gave us a taste of the experience in front of the camera. They also went ABOVE and BEYOND by surprising us with social media teaser videos they created as it led up to the big day and after and what we got out of our package. We cherish the footage and BEAUTIFUL crafted videos they made for us and watch them over and over again. It's like re-living the best day of our lives again and again. Not only are they professionals, they really care about the people they are filming. We didn't feel like just a client, we felt like a friend, and they listened to what was important to us in telling our story. The reason I would book Matt over other companies comes down to how unique his style & work is.
