ake Tahoe which required all of us to hike down to the water. We actually didn’t have a spot picked out beforehand, so we had to decide on the location just moments before the service. Carol was a true advocate for us, as she encouraged us to find the place that felt “just right” for our ceremony…even though this required a good deal more hiking. We are from Florida and had only spoken to Carol on the phone and communicated through email, but when we met her we both felt immediately comfortable. We are so grateful that she was part of our special day, and we couldn’t be more confident in recommending her to be a part of yours.

No fuss! She was a great speaker and got a few laughs from the guests. We also had a little mix up with rings, my husband was so nervous he tried to put his ring on me and she handled it great, very quietly whispered wrong ring a few times just quiet enough for us to hear. the ceremony, which initially made our search for an officiant a bit intimidating. However, as soon as we found Carol, everything became much easier. She provided us with a detailed ceremony script to start from and worked with us to make it a ceremony that reflected our relationship. We had several phone conversations with her so she could learn a bit more about us and we could talk through our vision for the ceremony. She was friendly and non-judgmental as we changed the script and took our many updates and changes (even the last-minute ones!) in stride. In addition to her help in crafting the personal, short, and meaningful ceremony we were looking for, she was a great help just prior to the event itself. She made sure we got the paperwork we needed in advance and held it for us throughout the event so it didn’t get lost. (I had completely forgotten about getting a marriage application, but she called us a few days before the event to remind us. Good thing, too!) Since our rehearsal was the day before the wedding, she drove up a day early so she could help us practice the ceremony. Her professional, collected demeanor was a source of calm at the rehearsal- she used her experience from other weddings to make recommendations that ultimately made the whole event go more smoothly. She even took the initiative to write up the modifications we made to the ceremony at the rehearsal and print off a revised version to use the day of. On our actual wedding day, she was organized and prepared, and everything went perfectly. Our band was not in town for the rehearsal, so Carol took notes and coordinated with them when they arrived. During the ceremony she was able to time everything just right to avoid awkward silences while we were performing the ceremony. She held printouts of our vows for us so we didn’t have to worry about having them on hand during the ceremony. Her voice projected very well even without a PA system and she was able to convey a dignified, joyous tone for the ceremony. Carol was instrumental in making our ceremony exactly what we were looking for and we would highly recommend her to other couples.
