Because Carolina Cupcakery is a large shop that creates cakes for all kinds of occasions, the best part about using them is your ability to choose from an almost unlimited amount of flavors. We ended up going with a traditional almond cake for some tiers, but my husband and I love pistachio, so I was ecstatic that they could incorporate that into the cake as well. They were very professional- it's clear that they know what they're doing in the Hampton Roads area. I loved that they also allowed for customization of the look of the cake- I dropped off ribbon for them, and they wrapped the bottom of the tiers in it just like the pictures I provided. Overall, very easy experience with tons of options.

The wedding cake turned out beautifully! The cake and the cupcakes were so moist and flavorful! Guests wanted to go back for seconds! We were never able to meet in person but they captured my vision!

We had an amazing experience! We had them do two different flavored cupcakes for our wedding and we went with Almond I DO and Bromance (Chocolate/Peanut butter with whiskey buttercream, candied bacon, and chocolate chips!!!) We also had them make a 6in cake for us and it was spectacular. My husband and I didn't know exactly what we wanted but after talking to them, they knew what we would like. Everything tasted amazing and our vendors loved them too!!

My husband and I chose Carolina Cupcakery for our wedding. Dani and the staff were amazing from the start. I accidentially mistyped a cupcake name and she even created a cupcake based on what I typed. When we figured out what happened, she offered to make the correct cupcake and have it ready for us the following day. We chose four different types of cupcakes - Tiramisu, Bromance, Lavendar Kiss, and Choco-Mint Grasshopper. We also had some vanilla and chocolate cake pops (bride and groom) and all of those were gone. The anniversary cake was absolutely beautiful. All of our guests raved about everything and many tried several types of cupcakes (get extras!)

Carolina Cupcakery has a completely separate food allergy bakery with separate air handlers and everything to prevent cross contamination. In addition, their list of cupcakes that can be made gluten free is HUGE! We had hundreds of flavors to choose from. We were given three large cupcakes to try at the tasting, which were all delicious. We booked them immediately. The day of the event, the cupcakes were perfect. They were set up on these beautiful log cupcake stands, and they looked so pretty!. Our guests loved them (and didn’t even realize they were all GF). A lot of our guests told us they had several so they could try the different flavors, because they were all so good. I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

I have nothing but good things to say about our wedding cupcake tower. Carolina Cupcakery was able to take my vision and make it a reality. I was so impressed with the final result!

Dani was great and super easy to work with. We live 3 hours away from Norfolk so all of our conversations were through email or over the phone. Their prices were great compared to other places we had tasted and they have 300 flavors to choose from. What we also loved was that the cupcakes were made on the day of the wedding so they were fresh! The guests loved them, we didn’t have to take any home!

We had a two tier cake and cupcakes for our wedding - they were beautiful and tasted amazing! We got so many compliments about how great the cupcakes tasted!

Horrible!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! We did a gender reveal 12 count cupcakes. We paid $44 and they were the plainest thing I have ever seen. White cupcake and white frosting! That's it nothing to show it was for a gender reveal!! We had to purchase decorations ourselves. We were told by the manager that people have complained about the decorations so they don't do anything! They also returned our envelope sloppy! the confetti that the doctors office put in it was retaped on the outside. It was taped well so there was NO WAY that it spilled our after being taped as the manager accused my husband of shaking it! So it was ruined for me when I saw this. When my husband went to bite into his he saw pink around the rim of the frosting. The excuse for this from the manager was that the frosting had expanded! I have never ever heard or witnessed this. I bake from scratch even my frostings and I have never seen this happen! Ridiculous! Everything my husband was telling her she had a come back! Not to mention the driest cupcake we have ever eaten and it just crumbled in your hands. So, needless to say there was no surprise on either my behalf or my husband's. So this is what our memory for this event ended up being. A HUGE disappointment and not even an appology! And when he called to let them know what had happened there was nothing but excuses with us to blame for the mistakes. Horrible customer service! Bad bad business and bad bad cupcakes! Surprised that they are still in business! I will never return nor recommend!

I have recommended them to any and everyone I know getting married. They did an amazing job! They were great at communicating and made sure I got exactly what I wanted even if I changed my mind a few times. The cake turned out perfectly and having two flavors was a huge hit! They also delivered straight to our venue and set everything up.

We just needed a small cutting cake for the top of our donut tower and Carolina Cupcakery did not disappoint! We wanted something simple and they captured our vision perfectly, and the cake was amazing too. They were very attentive and professional even with our small order!

Our cake looked absolutely amazing! The team really understood what we wanted and the wide array of flavors made it so much fun! They helped us make sure we could still have the flavors we wanted while keeping with the orange and white theme. It was beautiful and delicious!

My husband is allergic to tree nuts, wheat, and dairy. Can you even imagine how hard it was to find a cake vendor for our wedding? People either responded they could do a cake without nuts but not wheat, or they could do a cake without wheat but couldn't guarantee no nuts. Someone even said they could do it, but they wouldn't because it would taste bad. Then I turned to Carolina Cupcakery, and not only did we end up with a beautiful cake and cupcakes, but my husband had a delicious cake, completely allergen-free!! Oh, and we got married during Hurricane Matthew and Carolina Cupcakery didn't bat an eyelash about getting the cake to us. Wonderful business!

Alanna and Dani helped me at the Carolina Cupcakery location in Chesapeake. We chose three flavors from their list and went in for a tasting. Their hours are late enough that we did not have to worry about missing work to get this wedding task done! I had their cupcakes before (ordered them for a bachelorette party-amazing!) so I knew that they had a good product. I was even more pleased when they told me that the order is baked same-day! We ended up with party cake (which we asked them to decorate to match our colors), red velvet, and chocolate cheesecake (our favorite and what we chose for the anniversary cake which we used for the cake cutting)! The whole process was extremely user friendly and customizable. After our tasting, everything else was done online with the exception of describing how we wanted the anniversary cake decorated (I wasn't sure when we went for the tasting). The cupcakes were delivered on time to the venue and everyone loved them!! Not a bad price and great customer service!

I needed gluten free cake for myself and dairy free/gluten free for a couple guests. They suggested cupcakes for the guests and that was perfect. We were able to sit down and taste several flavors of regular and gluten free choices. It was hard to decide because they were all so good. The cake they designed for our day was great and everyone loved the flavors we chose. They did all the setup at the venue. They could be hard to get a hold of because they are so busy but they took good care of everything and were very accomodating.

Best decision I made was going to Carolina Cupcakery!! My sister had used them for her wedding as well and I loved the idea of having cupcakes instead of a cake! Jenny was super helpful and made my cupcakes look exactly how I had envisioned! They also have so many delicious flavors to choose from it was hard to decide!

AMAZING! We have received so many compliments on the cupcakes. With over 250 flavors, we spent months tasting and completing the impossible task of narrowing down the flavors. We were able to purchase an anniversary cake for cutting at the reception, mini, and full size cupcakes. While we stuck with the business's frosting, colors, and decorations, they were more than willing to accommodate any colors, decorations, or themes we wanted. Our flavors were: Almond I Do, Chocolate Salted Caramel, French Toast, and Banana Pudding. Trust us! Amazing cupcakes. A great way to avoid any "cake cutting fees" and a great variety.

Carolina Cupcakery provided our cupcakes and small cake this past July and it was fantastic. We also ordered some gluten free vegan cupcakes for some of our guests. They were priced a little bit higher than their regular cupcakes, but were well worth it when all of our guests were able to eat a cupcake. Overall they did a wonderful job matching our beach/starfish theme and everything was delicious.

For my 10th anniversary my husband and I decided to renew our vows! We went to Carolina Cupcakery in hopes that they could help us out with some sweet treats for our celebration. We met with Haley and Jenny on two different occasions where they helped us design the most perfect 3 tiered cake! Each layer was a different flavor and frosted in a cream cheese buttercream...Yum. We had a lovely outside wedding and they made great suggestions about our cake being inside away from the summer heat. We cannot wait to celebrate our 11th year of marriage with another cake!

My best friend, Andrea had such an amazing wedding. Along with beautiful flowers, great company and an awesome backdrop, the cupcakes were top notch! I would recommend Carolina Cupcakery for cupcakes and I hear the cake was great too!

Carolina Cupcakery supplied the cake for my sisters wedding. I didn't know they made full size cakes, but they sure do and it was the best cake I've ever had. Super moist!

I was so excited to have Carolina Cupcakery provide my wedding cake! I have had their cupcakes for years and was so pleased to hear that they also made wedding cakes as well. The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing.

I am so grateful that I found Carolina Cupcakery. Since there are no other cupcake shops in the Outer Banks,I went with CC and they surely delivered. Even though they had to travel from Chesapeake, everything went well and they went above and beyond for me and my guests. I would definitely recommend.

It was such a pleasure working with Jenni and company :) They create great works of art and make them quite yummy too!!They made a 2 tier cake and 75 cupcakes and wow, were they awesome :) Highly recommend them!

We can't complain about the quality of the cupcakes we had at our wedding reception. We went with a cupcake tower in place of a traditional wedding cake. They were awesome. They were way overpriced for "event pricing". $2 each for a mini cupcake for 200 cupcakes was extremely expensive. I don't understand why we didn't get a discount for buying so many. Instead we had to pay more than the counter price for individual servings. Be careful and read the contract. Once you pay your deposit you can't get it back unless you can reach an agreement with them. The product was great, delivered on time, my main issue is the cost.

We wanted to have cupcakes as part of our dessert buffet for our wedding in the Outer Banks. Carolina Cupcakery had such a great selection and price that they were our top choice. It was tough planning the wedding from afar, but my mom was able to contact an employee, and they brought the cupcakes onto OBX for us, and we were able to get a family member to pick them up before the wedding. They were so flexible in helping us plan the flavors and pick-up for the cupcakes. More importantly, the cupcakes were delicious and definitely a hit! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wide variety of cupcakes and not wanting to break the bank doing it!

We ordered mini cupcakes and a 6-inch cake for our wedding. People raved about the cupcakes, and they did a great job decorating our mini cake. Even made it gluten free!

Everyone was excited about the cupcakes at my wedding! I'll admit I was thrilled too! The display was gorgeous, and the flavors were divine! I've always been a fan of their cupcakes and I am so glad that they provided that same quality at our wedding!

With over 200 flavors and up to 10 flavors in your order it is hard to decide which delicious cupcakes to choose. We picked Key Lime, Orange Creamcicle and Vanilla which were all fabulous. The stand looked amazing with all the cupcakes

This place made delicious cupcakes on kind of short notice. I really dragged my feet deciding what to pick. They tasted great and had no problems with delivery and set up as far as I know. People who tried them said they tasted great.

Absolutely loved them. They were were very helpful and returned my messages and emails right away. Which was a HUGE deal for me being as i live 7 hours away!! I actually stopped in a week before my wedding to drop off my final payment instead of mailing it in and picked up a dozen cupcakes. Can't get enough of them! They were a big hit at the wedding! Can't wait until my anniversary next year so that i can eat my cake!! YUM!!

The ladies at Carolina Cupcakery were so great. They helped me design the exact Cupcake Wedding Cake that I had envisioned. They were patient, on time, and very detailed. I could not have asked for better service. Not to mention their CUPCAKES tast AMAZING!!

The cupcakes at my wedding were delicious! They forgot to decorate the top tier for us to cut into the cake, which was disappointing but we had some extra flowers from the florist so were able to make it look a little more dressed up. With 3 different stores and several event people, some of the communication seemed a little disconnected. However, the cupcakes tasted great and were all gone at the end of the night!

I wanted to get a cupcake tower for our wedding so I looked into Carolina Cupcakery, but I ended up getting our cake closer to the wedding location. I have bought cupcakes from them before and I love all the different flavors. My favorite has to be the vanilla bean cupcake with vanilla butter cream.

Cup cakes were way smaller than expected and very dry - not fresh. WAY overpriced for product delivered. Cake stand looked cheap and ribbon was falling off.

They have such great cupcakes! They are a newly established business, now in Norfolk and Chesapeake! They are very professional and friendly. The cupcakes we had for our wedding were amazing. Guests couldn't stop raving about them, and even took multiples home! Cupcake towers are a trendy, no mess treat for any wedding!

The planning process wasn't the most thorough, but despite this, my cupcakes turned out exactly how I wanted them to! Got many compliments on the cupcake idea and guests described them as the best cupcakes they ever had.
