is so gorgeous and she got everything planned out and running so smoothly . She even helped to calm my anxiety no matter how many times it occurred 😝. The actual only complaint I had about the venue was that when my husband and I were served our food (everyone else had buffet) we weren’t given sauces with the meat and our food was cold. Still though, everything was great at this venue and I don’t think I could’ve asked for anything better !

She also was the day-of coordinator and able to communicate with vendors. She also has an eye for decorations to help ensure everything looks perfect. As for the food... I wish my dress allowed me to eat more. It was delicious. Every guest commented on how great the food was-- good luck choosing with all the options. They even had food set aside for the wedding party to ensure we were fed after all the pictures. As for the venue, it is simple and elegant. It can easily hold between 60-100 personnel with enough room to still dance.

Second, the contracts Carolina Trace has you sign are purposely vague this is to allow the operations manager to clearly say that was not what you signed. This gentleman’s name was Mr. Crabbe (he still hasn’t called me back as he promised fyi) Now for the story, It started normal I the groom was a bit nervous (but who wouldn’t be on their wedding day), Victoria, the wedding planner, approached me and said ‘hey I see you are tense can I get you and your groomsmen a beer?’ Nowhere in that sentence was would you like a beer at cost I will charge you and bring it to your party. She then approached my parents for payment for the beers. During the reception, the open bar couldn’t seem to stay stocked and it would take up to 20 minutes for someone at the bar to ask for a drink and be served this seemed like try tried to limit the consumption on the open bar I paid for. This is the part of the story were if I was a business own I would be ashamed. There were two young ladies who were supposed to be clearing and busing tables but instead spent portions of the night hitting on my party goers and trying to get numbers. One of these young ladies was commenting on guests’ appearance and how their bodies looked in their dresses while they were in the bathroom. (I’m pretty sure that was unwanted and could count as sexual harassment). It was embarrassing for me to hear of this in the days following and I couldn’t stop apologizing to my guests for their shear embarrassment. The most we heard from Mr. Crabbe was that the girls were reprimanded. Later on while going through the photobook from the photobooth, we discovered that these two members of the wait staff had taken pictures in the booth and gave the middle finger. The ceremony itself, as well as the food was amazing. But that’s the thing- the plates of food never left the guest tables. My dad has pictures from later in the night with time stamp and food still there. The late night burger bar that we paid for, we were told by Victoria we could submit our own recipes and they would make it. The food that was presented that night however was nothing close to the recipes that were given to Victoria. Guest received raw hamburgers and the French fries were nearly forgotten to be brought out from the kitchen that is until I asked for them. When we first put the deposit down, we were working with Bridget. When Bridget moved and Victoria took over, we were told numerous times that we were underpaying and we were costing the club money. This should have been a red flag but the place just looked so perfect from the outside we decided to stay. Overall, the ceremony and food were great and the reception had its ups and downs. Most of the day are happy memories to look back on. There were just certain instances that left us with a bitter taste. Ps my wife and i also signed the contract

At the actual reception the bar continuously ran out of alcohol clearly using slow down tactics, they ran out of 2 different beers within the first hour, the Sangria punch made for the signature drink had no alcohol and if we went up to the bar and had grey goose the first time the second time they would say they are out. The tables were never cleared and food sat out from 8 pm until after 11pm. The late night snack was burgers and they were served raw. The servers were sexually harassing guests and even decided to take a picture in the photo booth given the middle finger. All these issues were addressed with that property but answer with a bunch of excuses as to why it was not their problem. Assistant Manager Jeffery Crabbe was not sympathic at all the day of and by the excuses provided he didn't care because they had payment. Needless to say if I was a bride I would consider looking elsewhere, the drive to Charlotte or Raleigh might be long but the happy memories you will get else where would be worth it. Carolina Trace left a bad taste and its not worth the gamble .
