I truly don't know how to put into words the deep appreciation and gratefulness we feel for Carolyn and her team for all of their guidance, help, and care for our December wedding! I wasn't even going to hire a wedding coordinator at first because I figured it would be an extra expense we just couldn't afford, but I happened to stumble across Carolyn Celeste Weddings on Wedding Wire and the reviews were so fantastic, I figured it might be worth a shot. Let me tell you: Carolyn is more than worth her weight in gold!!! Even before we signed a contract, she was so sweet and helpful with a few suggestions after I shared some details about our wedding with her. At that point, we knew this was the gal for us and it was quite possibly the best decision we made in the planning process! Carolyn is fun, encouraging, creative, organized, and the best possible advocate for her clients' wedding dreams. She kept us on track without being pushy, never ghosted us for even a moment, and made suggestions to help us stay on budget and still have the wedding we wanted. SO much goes into planning a wedding behind the scenes, but the real magic happens the month and day of! She and her lovely team were so sweet and kind to us, our wedding party, and our families and friends the entire night, from start to finish. We didn't have to worry about what was happening next or where we needed to be, because Carolyn kept us informed and on track with her fantastic timeline and simultaneously made sure we were having the best night of our lives! All of our guests are still complimenting the wedding and reception and how smoothly everything went, to which we credit Carolyn immensely. She consistently went above and beyond for us in so many ways, and because of her guidance and care, we literally had the PERFECT wedding day we had dreamt of for years. Where to even begin.. the ENTIRE process was extremely smooth from BEGINNING to END! The heart and dedication that she has for her clients is something I have NEVER experienced before! From beginning to end she not only spoiled us with inviting us to wedding events to get inspiration but also sweet gifts for our little boy who was our “Plot Twist” and extended our wedding journey to another year. Not only did we HAVE to extend but we were never charged an extra year (literally) by her! How amazing and thoughtful?! Her communication was AMAZING to all of my vendors! Do you need a wedding planner? YES YOU DO. Carolyn is fantastic at her job. She thinks of every little detail and implements them into the plan for your big day. She and her staff kept everything flowing and with a bigger wedding party, and 150 guests, it was no small task.

I’m convinced that my wedding day (and whole wedding planning process) was the smoothest and most fun because of her and her team! Carolyn is professional, thoughtful, so sweet, and incredibly insightful. I believe it would have been a completely different experience had I not had her and her gals. Carolyn went above and beyond in planning and coordinating for my daughter’s wedding. She brought my daughter’s wedding and reception vision to life. I cannot stress how INCREDIBLE Carolyn and her team were. She was recommended to me by my venue, and she did not disappoint. She was always available to take my call, text me back, or send a quick email. In the beginning of wedding planning, I was so stressed out trying to figure out how to plan all my vendors on the day of the wedding. Carolyn handled it all flawlessly. I'd been told that the day of would be one of the most stressful days, but she took all that stress away with her planning.

Hire Carolyn Celeste Weddings!!!! Early on in my wedding planning I wasn't sure if I needed a wedding coordinator. I thought I could just do it myself (spoiler alert: I would have been very wrong). However shortly after meeting Carolyn I knew she was someone we needed there on our day. She knows EVERYTHING you could ever need to know and is always one step ahead of the game. She is extremely organized (which I so appreciated) and her main priority is bringing YOUR vision to life. We had a unique dinosaur themed wedding and she embraced it from the beginning and was genuinely excited by everything we had planned. On our wedding day I wasn't stressed because while I was getting ready I knew she was downstairs making magic happen with her team (who are just as amazing). Most importantly, you can tell that you aren't just a client to her. She takes time to get to know you and develop a friendship that will continue past your wedding day. I could go on forever but the bottom line is hire Carolyn, you won't be disappointed!!

When my daughter got engaged, our first stop was a consult with Carolyn. She was wise about where we should start the process and how to proceed. She was quite literally the best tour guide we could have had for this 13 month life-changing heart-warming family blending event. On the day of the wedding she truly outdid herself by bringing her own stash of bonus items (easels, a cake plate, and a “mountain toiletry kit” to name a few). She and her team maneuvered specific obstacles so that every guest and especially the wedding party could fully enjoy this special day. She provided (and updated) timelines, communicated with all vendors (and recognized them on social media), handled surprise weather and venue challenges, directed setting up, completed cleaning up, helped with dressing up and even provided follow up! Carolyn made the whole process fun and memorable and I could not be more grateful for her unique blend of service, expertise and personality. Working with her made me want to do the whole thing all over again from the beginning. Well...almost. 🥰

Carolyn was a MOST valuable vendor and resource for creating the wedding we were dreaming of. Her positive spirit kept us encouraged even through Covid worries and her reputation with our other vendors was very reassuring (and, we discovered, well earned). We could not have gotten through the day without her help nor felt so prepared for it. Her experience was evident, and her familiarity with the venue and other vendors made for a a smooth and elegant evening. She embraced our ideas, and offered her own experiences so we could create an event that we will remember forever. We recommend her highly.

Carolyn is my favorite person on this entire planet. I hired her as my month-of coordinator a little over a year from our wedding date and she went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. While we hired for her the month of, she was extremely easy to communicate with and responded to every text or call long before the month of the wedding. She helped us with so much, gave us tips and tricks on how to make our day memorable. She kept me in line while I was planning the wedding and also graduating from college and becoming a nurse. When the wedding day came, I was so grateful for her team. They made sure my groom and I only had a fun and stress free day, and they took care of EVERYTHING. The best part was when she and her girls set up a private place away from the chaos for us to have a meal together without being interrupted, because boy was the day busy!!!! And everyone wants to chat with us of course, so this moment was extremely special and we are so grateful. HIRE HER!!!! You will not be disappointed.

As a fellow wedding vendor, we loved working with Carolyn & her team on a wedding this past November. She kept us in the know throughout the wedding planning process, rescheduling and especially on the wedding day. She was so integral to Kelly & Jay's smooth wedding day and worked with us throughout the day to ensure we got the photos we needed to. Not to mention, she is such a bright light, with a smile on her face always. We loved working with her and hope to work together again soon!

Planning my daughter’s wedding seemed like something I could do by myself. I thought I’d be able to wrangle up all of the vendors on the day of. I couldn’t be more wrong. Having Carolyn help us gather last minute details, RESCHEDULE every single vendor due to the pandemic, and then flawlessly run the day was a life saver. She is absolutely amazing at what she does and even when the unthinkable happens, she takes all the pressure off of you. My daughter said so many times “if we didn’t have Carolyn during this wedding reschedule, I probably wouldn’t have made it through” and that is so true. If you are beginning to plan your wedding, you NEED Carolyn. She thinks of everything. She will remind you of things that never would have crossed your mind. Carolyn is not only knowledgeable in this profession, but she is incredibly resourceful in the area. She knows EVERYONE in the Hampton Roads wedding industry and they know and love her. She is so organized and she never skips a beat. I know she had other brides while working on my wedding but she always made me feel like I was the most important person on her list and like I was a friend of hers. And as a bride having to reschedule and make cuts to our guest list because of Covid, I was so grateful for that. If I had to get married again I would hire Carolyn in an instant. The second best decision I made (other than getting married in the first place of course) was having her as our month of/day of coordinator!

We were over the moon happy with Carolyn Celeste Weddings! When Jeff and I first got engaged, I was so excited and overwhelmed by everything there was to do- hair, food, flowers, venue- where to begin?! We hired Carolyn; and out of all of the decisions that come with being a bride and planning your perfect day, by far the best decision we made was hiring her. She was organized, fun, sweet, and knowledgeable about this industry! She helped us decide which things to spend more on and which to save on, and she kept us on track with the timeline. Carolyn and her team were amazing!! From the first meeting with Carolyn, you can tell she loves what she does and is someone you would want in your corner. Vendors all had great things to say about her and that became more evident when we had to scale our wedding down to a micro wedding due to Covid. Carolyn did an awesome job making sure we still were able to have the wedding we wanted and was great about brainstorming and working with vendors to make it happen. I knew before Covid that Carolyn was the right choice, but once Covid struck Carolyn truly became a fairy godmother! The whole wedding party and parents on both sides truly enjoyed Carolyn and her team and they were great in dealing with a few last minute hiccups on the wedding day. Carolyn is the type of person who the job doesn't end the wedding day - she even reached out a week later to touch base and the day after the wedding sent some great photos from the wedding. Carolyn is not only an excellent coordinator/planner, she is a kind and generous person with a positive spirit and warrior attitude for her clients, we would highly recommend!

Carolyn went above and beyond for our wedding. It was not any easy one to deal with because of so many things going on and so many factors. Carolyn was helping work through things far beyond my expectations, she was talking to me way before the month of due to the unique circumstances. Carolyn covered every angle, and because of her preparing us, we were able to have our dream wedding. We were so prepared and she helped us to take measures so when the time came we could still have our special day. If it wasn’t for Carolyn our day wouldn’t happen. I highly recommend you hire her especially during these trying times. On the Wedding day, Carolyn was on top of everything and she was a true life saver. Her team made everything look so beautiful, they did a phenomenal job. Everything looked more amazing then we could have ever imagined and the day went so smoothly. To top off our story, before dinner Carolyn came and grabbed us and said there was a surprise for us outside, and it was a giant rainbow over the ocean! Carolyn was instrumental in making our wedding day perfect! We were so lucky to meet Carolyn early in our planning process, and having her on our team was one of our first "wedding decisions". She helped us quickly gather the rest of our wedding team, including going to each vendor meeting- from decorations, to floral, to an in-depth discussion on catering. She kept us on track with a timeline, giving us gentle reminder e-mails when life got hectic. All the while, she was the nicest, most sincere person you will ever meet. Genuinely a joy to chat with each moment! On the wedding day, my family and I did not need to worry about a thing. Carolyn and her team had everything handled! From the moment we started planning our wedding I told my husband that my one biggest priority was having a wedding planner. I knew from experience that weddings are far more complicated than they seem and I wanted to enjoy the experience rather than be stressed by it. We both agree now that the money we spent hiring Carolyn was the BEST money we ever spent! She is incredibly organized, well connected, and as a bonus, she is an absolute BLAST to hang out with! Being an event planner myself I see her passion for her brides and their families. She wants this day to be the best. She's been apart of our 'family' for 4 weddings (2 of my cousins, mine and my sister); each time is consistent if not better than the last. She's the best!

Carolyn is an absolute dream to work with! She is such a knowledgeable and experienced wedding planner. I was worried that I would have too much on my plate trying to plan everything but she made my life so much easier! Carolyn always had answers to my questions and suggestions when I just had no clue! Thinking back on my wedding day is nothing but magical, crazy, and a day filled with lots of wind and rain! Carolyn made me feel reassured the whole time, even when I cried a bit knowing I’d get no outside pictures, we made it work. She brought her rain boots, we popped open an umbrella, and took one of the most breathtaking wedding photos out of them all outside the Lesner Inn. It’s a black and white photo of my husband and I taken at the end of the night while we kissed under an umbrella. I will admit, I’m very type A, and when meeting with Carolyn I had a binder ready to go. I knew what I wanted, I knew my vision, yet she helped bring my chaos of ideas to life. She also broke our wedding down in chunks and allowed me to focus on certain items at different stages of the planning process, Versus getting to overwhelmed. I’ll never forget seeing the reception area for the first time. We had so many “diy” elements in our wedding and so many different pieces, finally seeing it all in one place was breathtaking. I will be celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary in 2 days, and I still think about our wedding day. Carolyn is a magical, majestic wedding goddess who will make you feel so special. She will mama bear you when you need it, re-direct you if you get frazzled, and awe over you in your dress. She will also tear up at your family’s speeches with you, and become your confidant. She is your best friend, and the person who can make your weird relative happy when no one else can! She will run drinks, bustle a dress, wipe a tear away, and be your advocate when your family is being weird, or not allowing you to be heard. She’s amazing.

I cannot say enough about Carolyn and her team. From the moment we signed the contract she was extremely helpful and supportive. She was always quick to respond to our questions in detail. If she hadn't heard from us in a while she would reach out to touch base to see how we were doing. As we live 2+ hours away from Carolyn and our venue, we were unable to meet with her in person. However, she Facetimed with us multiple times and spent many hours making sure we were on track with our planning. She offered suggestions for vendors as needed and helped us choose who was a good fit for us as a couple and our wedding vision. Carolyn and her entire team were amazing on the day-of. Carolyn was absolutely amazing from the second we met her and super attentive throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. I have been in many many weddings over the years and knew for sure I would be stressed out on my wedding day but.. I just wasn’t because Carolyn helped make everything run smoothly. I cannot stress enough how pleased we were to work with her! Love her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a planner!

I knew from the first meeting my fiancé was convinced Carolyn would be our wedding planner. I was quickly sold as well. Easy to work with, thorough and personable. But when it came to me wanting to surprise my fiancé, THE WEEK OF the wedding -she didn’t bat an eye. No surprise was going to throw her off her game. And that’s where she really shined helping to bring to life an amazing ice sculpture feature and making it happen while I was busy working and preparing for the wedding. And she really took it above and beyond surprising even me with additional small touches when it came time to surprise my fiancé. So grateful to work with Carolyn. Kept the evening moving. Attentive to details and even worked with my best man to make sure behind the scenes things happened without me worrying about it.

This woman has a heart of GOLD! I cannot recommend her enough! I wasn't sure a wedding planner was something that I wanted, but then my fiancé and I went to a bridal show and realized just how huge this wedding industry is and how overwhelming it is to navigate through it yourself. Anyone who does it without a wedding planner is crazy. Carolyn made it fun, easy, and stress free. Each time it came time to choose something (from vendors to table cloths), I told her what I thought I wanted and the type of price range I wanted to stay in and she gave me two of three options she thought would work. All of my vendors (including her DJ husband and their photobooth company) came from her recommendation and they were ALL phenomenal! Many of my guests commented on how friendly everyone was. The day of, her wedding team was so present, every time I even glanced up to look for one of them, they were by my side instantly asking what I needed. Not to mention, my original wedding had to be cancelled four days before the wedding due to an impending hurricane and Carolyn spent all morning calling all of my vendors to cancel, and then calling them again to reschedule for the following month. She had spoken to everyone and had everything moved to our new date in a matter of hours. We were so lucky to be surrounded by such a kind and supportive team on our wedding, and leading up to it. She is worth every penny and more, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Carolyn was the best ! Could not have pulled off this wedding without her ! I have two daughters that live out of state, and she took us through both weddings with ease ! One daughter got married in October of 2015, with the reception held in a large tent in our yard. She calmed all my fears with everything involved ! She & her staff took care of so many details that I would have overlooked or been stressed to try to take care of ! She let me enjoy being the Mother of the Bride ! My youngest daughter got married last summer, June 2018, and once again Carolyn walked us through each step flawlessly ! She was calm, friendly & helpful to everyone about everything !

Seamless, Flexible, and always with a smile I have the unique perspective of having Carolyn and her team plan and deliver on my own wedding day and then...ten years later...having her team deliver once again for my sister's wedding this past June 2019. As both a Bride and Matron of Honor, I worked closely with Carolyn and her team. She's a great listener and mediator - relieving the stress leading up to "The Big Day" and making sure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed. My own wedding was such a whirlwind. Looking back on that day, I can't believe how Carolyn seamlessly executed everything we had planned and made sure my husband and I were exactly where we needed to be when we needed to be there. She did the exact same - all with a smile - for my sister on her big day. And then, I had the ability to stand back and watch it all unfold. A real treat. For my wedding, she worked with a brand new cake vendor, long-standing wedding venues, my childhood pastor, and even helped us incorporate some Hindu wedding traditions into our mostly traditional Christian ceremony since my husband and his side of the family are all from India. For my sister's wedding, she FLAWLESSLY dealt with a Postponed WEDDING BECAUSE OF A HURRICANE IN SEPT 2018. She re-booked vendors and dealt with contracts being renewed and guided us through it all. And then - finally for the NEW Big Day - she helped my sister secure a brand new Wedding Venue (a trendy Barn), handled an infant being in the ceremony (even helping feed him right beforehand so he'd sleep), loads of last-minute-details and curves and twists and turns. And it all went off without a hitch - aside from the couple who got hitched. (ba, dum, dum). I highly recommend Carolyn and her team because of her genuine expertise in the field and my experience - both as Bride and MOH. Your Big Day will be the Best Day in her hands.

Mother of the Bride: Carolyn's team provided my husband and I, (well really me :)) the opportunity to be clear and present for the day of our daughters wedding. So much time, energy, emotion, expense AND love is dedicated to this day...it was important for us to really focus on every second of the day. We are a military family of 28 years and have lived across the country. We had guests coming in from the 4-corners of America to celebrate our daughter and welcome our new son-in-law and his family. Wedding planning is NO JOKE and not for the light hearted. But if you allow a professional to get to know you during the process of months of planning; then it's magical. Carolyn and her team were like "sister moms" to me! A few things stand out from the wedding day; We were in 3 locations getting ready in the morning before the church; Carolyn was in contact with the florist for perfectly executed flower drop offs to all locations and making sure we all left on time. Tornado sirens went off at the moment we were to get our daughter to the church... Carolyn was waiting with a multitude of umbrellas and a huge smile. The skies opened with beautiful sunshine by the time the ceremony was complete. We left to take photos at the beach in between the ceremony and reception...Carolyn was moving the group perfectly so we could feel comfortable leaving for an hour. Upon arrival at the reception, who was waiting for us...Carolyn and her team...they knew exactly were to position us for the welcome part of the reception. The exit and the sparklers...well you'll have to ask Carolyn and her team about that one in person...but again...they made it all PERFECT in every way! Every stage of the reception was on time, and kept us free of thinking about those details and staying clear and present to enjoy the best party of the century. I am of a planner mind...and I know I would have been stuck in the planning minutia of details to make it all perfect for our daughter..and didn't want that to happen. If you are not a planner, the day can be a very difficult. It's hard to stay on a timeline...it's hard to make sure everything is in place when you are in a different location and expect it to be perfect when the bridal party arrives. Many times, venues have specific times to be at your reception...what happens if you get sidetracked and lose track of time, parts to the reception will get missed because you ran out of time. To me, this was a no brainer. Having an event planning team to support your event whether a planner or not, just makes sense, and was at the VERY TOP of our budget planning. I am forever grateful to Carolyn for allowing my mind to be so clear to enjoy every second of the day! We love you and your team, Carolyn. Keep being AWESOME.
