When I’m looking for a photographer I want someone who takes beautiful photos, has beautiful finished products: editing skills and presets, and keeps things looking natural and REAL to the moment. For my wedding, it was specifically important that my photographer made me feel comfortable— was willing to call the shots and also not be awkward. You’re literally with them more than your spouse. Carolyn is an artist. She was one of the easiest people to work with throughout our entire wedding experience. She listened to me, understood what I wanted, and somehow managed to make me feel completely comfortable while still capturing everything so beautifully and authentically. And even though making sure the day ran smoothly wasn’t technically her job, she cared enough to help make sure it did. That says so much about who she is. Her kind heart, excited spirit, genuine love for us and our wedding day, and — most of all — her love of love were so radiant. I have been behind the camera for over five years, but I have been doing weddings full-time for two years. I am so grateful to be able to capture your love stories for a living. wedding day, she so effortlessly blended in with the environment, never once making photography feel like a production or distraction. I actually done even remembering seeing her the entire time, yet when seeing what she was able to capture, I realized she somehow magically was able to be everywhere, not missing a single moment. When we got our photos back less than a month after our wedding (with a sneak peek in less than 48 hours), I was completely floored at the moments she was able to capture for us, moments I would have completely missed otherwise. Flipping through the gallery almost plays like a movie, telling the story of our day- the details, the emotions, the people we love so dearly… Her photos radiate the joy we experienced on our wedding day and I am so grateful we have such beautiful memories to treasure forever.

d I believe the best part of the planning. We met up over coffee, so that she could get together a list of photos we’d want on our big day and this was finally when we could see it all coming together. We have a lot of family and for one of the shots we wanted a BIG photo with all of them (both sides of the family!) in it. I thought it would end up being a disaster trying to get them to cooperate, but she made it happen! She was also very accommodating by driving all the way to where the groomsmen were (over 30 minutes from the bridesmaids) all for the “getting ready” photos and then out to the venue with us. All of the pictures that she got were beautiful, and she was so easy to communicate with. After our wedding, while we were waiting for her to finalize the photos, she gave us a sneak peak, which made us even more excited to see all of the photos. I loved working with Carolyn the most because you can see that she actually cares about what you think and how you feel about your photos. She is absolutely the sweetest person and I can’t recommend her enough!
