My hair, which is pin-straight and very flat, was curly and full of volume still the next day! I had requested a smoky eye and a bit of glamor. The look was stunning! She used a color pallet that complemented my eyes and made my facial features really pop. I HAD to hire her for my wedding! Leading up to my wedding, she was patient and kind and made sure that every detail was perfect. She came to me for multiple trials to make sure my look was just right. The end result was nothing short of flawless. I would write a novel for Carolyn if I could! My wedding hair was a very full low bun. I wanted an up-do but wanted to still have volume. My makeup was the perfect balance of “subtle-bridal” and drama. I looked exactly the way I had always dreamed I would. For future brides: I'm a woman who loves makeup and is very particular. I’ve had makeup done as a bridesmaid before and when I would say “natural” I somehow would always end up with heavy eye makeup that I was uncomfortable with. I knew then that I needed her for my wedding in Florida, even if that meant paying a travel fee. So, so, SO worth it! It’s been a couple weeks since the wedding and I’m still getting compliments from guests about how good the whole bridal party’s makeup looked. I cannot recommend Carolyn Thombs enough. She is a great artist with a great personality. Really can’t go wrong!!

to hire her for my wedding on 10-15-16. She was incredibly flexible as I was planning the wedding from out of state and worked her schedule around mine whenever I was on time. I did not know what to tell Carolyn specifically about what I wanted so I told her "romantic" and from that word she knew exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day. I was incredibly impressed with her during the trial and my make-up stayed fresh all day. It was the first time that I wore fake lashes and she made sure that they felt natural. The products that she uses are extremely high quality and helped my skin feel covered but fresh. Carolyn was adaptive to plans on the wedding day and would have done make-up wherever we needed her. She did the make-up for me, my mom, my mother-in-law, and best friend. Everyone looked beautiful and she made us all feel comfortable. She keeps a calm presence throughout the chaotic time period of getting everyone ready. I was worried about my lip color staying fresh, so she simply gave me the lipstick that she had used and told me to keep it--super perk! My mother was nervous getting her make-up done because it was her first time and Carolyn made her feel comfortable and beautiful. My make-up looked fantastic, especially in pictures, and stayed on and fresh for the entire night. I highly recommend Carolyn for individual make-up services and for large group/weddings! On top of it, Carolyn was so kind and professional. My bridesmaids and I loved her! I booked so late that I was not able to do a trial, but Carolyn was so accommodating. She was able to do an amazing job using pictures I had as inspiration and she used her expertise and talent to make my hair perfect. I loved my make-up- she did a classic cat eye! My bridesmaids were unsure what they wanted, but after a few questions, Carolyn got to work and was able to make them look fabulous. I highly recommend her services!

l went really well, especially since I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. She was patient and worked with me to try different things to get me the look that I wanted. It all came through for my 'big day,' which of course was on a hot, humid day in July (and I have hair that goes limp easily). Her hair and makeup held up without having "helmet hair" and despite that I was sweating a lot during the outside pictures. I am so happy with her work! And my maid of honor is using her in her wedding, in case it wasn't clear that we loved Carolyn already.
