Carrie did my hair & make-up as well as for my 7 person bridal party. Everyone looked flawless and loved their look. She is personable, kind and truly an expert in her field. I had a great experience with Carrie Kacen artistry. Vanessa is the artist who ended up doing my bridal hair and makeup and I was so incredibly happy with it.

Carrie was excellent! She was extremely flexible to work with right from the start and made coordinating things on the day-of so easy. She did hair and makeup for the four of us and I was super excited for my turn after seeing how beautiful my mom and friends turned out. She was right on the mark with how I envisioned both makeup and hair. I would keep rebooking her if I could, but for now I'll be sure to recommend her to any of my friends needing her services!

Carrie did my hair and makeup as well as some of my other bridesmaids hair and makeup and she did an amazing job. I recently had the pleasure of working with Carrie to do the hair & makeup for me, my mother, sister in law, mother in law & godmother for my wedding. I can honestly say that she exceeded all of my expectations and made me feel like a true queen. From the moment I met her I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Carrie exceeded my expectations! I traveled from NY to AZ to get married and she came highly recommended by my photographer. (shoutout Vows with Views) I was a little nervous as we could not do a trial but we didn’t need one! Carrie did my hair&MU two days in a row and brought my wedding looks to life! Carrie was very easy to work with! She responded to all my emails and questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. She was very straightforward in terms on pricing and the services that would be done (no surprises at the end). In terms of her hair and make-up, it was exactly what I was looking for! She does a very good job of the light/ natural make-up with a splash of glam (and sparkle!). While doing my hair and make-up the day of she continuously checked in with each of us to make sure we liked what she was doing and if we wanted her to change anything. Overall, I loved working with Carrie, and would absolutely suggest her to any brides getting married in the area.

Carrie was super flexible for my sunrise wedding in Sedona! I needed hair/make up done for 5:30 AM so the fact that she was so accommodating in helping me get ready was amazing. My hair and make up came out exactly as I wanted it too. I cannot thank her enough for doing such a phenomenal job :)

Carrie was exceptional to work with!! Communicating with her was a breeze, her responses were prompt, and all of my questions were answered within a business day of asking. I coordinated our meeting from out of state and the whole process was painless. Carrie arrived early, but not before messaging me to ensure that it was okay for her to get started. Before we started she reminded me to take care of some things that, as a nervous bride, I would have never thought of….like removing my bra to prevent indentations from being visible in my shoulders once I changed into my wedding dress. My hair was perfect. She incorporated a bridal comb that I had chosen, and my hair stayed in place the whole evening, even during a breezy outdoor ceremony in the Red Rocks. My makeup was natural but flawless! Not only was she professional and talented, but she was incredibly kind and great company. I eloped across the country, without any friends or family along, and it was so wonderful to spend my time before my wedding with another female. Her company was amazing. Her reassurance and comfort was amazing. Her work was amazing. If you are getting married in Arizona, I would HIGHLY suggest reaching out to Carrie. Carrie was incredible! We really appreciated how communicative and responsive she was leading up to the wedding. On the wedding day she arrived right on time and ready to go even though there was quite a bit of travel to our venue. We loved how comfortable and relaxed she made us feel and how she let us know that if we wanted any changes or adjustments, it was no problem. Working with her was so easy and we felt and looked wonderful for the ceremony. Hair and makeup lasted all night!

Professional ... Friendly ... Creative ... a TRUE Artist! From our first conversation ... to my hair and make-up run-through ... to our big day, Carrie provided the highest level detailed and professional service. I truly appreciated her creative spin on the inspiration images and ideas I provided. She helped to lighten any concerns I had and calm the stress I was feeling in planning our wedding. As someone who struggles turning control over, I was at ease letting Carrie work her magic. She helped to bring to life - the vintage Hollywood look I envisioned. She also provided hair and make-up services for 3 of my bridesmaids and my mom. All were happy and looked beautiful! am so grateful to have beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!

My experience was awful and uncomfortable. I went in for bridal hair and makeup trial and left with my hair style falling out not even 30 minutes later. My fake eyelashes were not glued on properly and I kept getting poked in the eye by the artist which caused irritation and my eyes to water. We could not get a complete eye makeup look because of this. my liquid eyeliner was not straight and was extremely thick, not at all what the inspiration picture looked like. My makeup was not blended and I could see the foundation splotches all over my neck. I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I told the artist my hair was not looking how I pictured. I was told my hair is not blonde and textured so it could not be styled the way I wanted it. All I wanted was a fancy ponytail. I asked if we could change the hairstyle because it was not working and asked her for inspiration photos. I was told to let her express herself as an artist on my hair and let her do what she needs to do. She said we should move on to makeup and go back to hair later. I couldn't even go out to eat with my friends that night with the way my makeup and hair turned out. I did not feel beautiful or heard. After expressing my concerns with Carrie, she only gave me the tip percentage back and not a refund like I requested. I do not normally write bad reviews and I am not a picky person, but this experience needed to be out there. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for someone to hear what you want for your big day. I was expecting quality service based off the pictures that were posted here and I did not receive that.

Carrie is the BOMB! Super professional, organized and great communication. She executed my inspiration photos perfectly and truly made me feel beautiful! I was complimented all day and night about how natural and not "cakey" my makeup looked. Exactly what I was going for. SO so happy with her work and the whole experience. Seriously like 20 stars if I could!!

I had a trial with her that went amazing, but the wedding day look was even better! I could tell that she really thought about how to make my hair and makeup the best that it could be. I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her! Another huge plus is that my makeup still looked natural instead of like a mask, which is something I was afraid of for my wedding day. Overall, Carrie is super talented, but she’s also a really fun and sweet person. She not only created a masterpiece with my hair and makeup, but she calmed my nerves during a very stressful time. I’d 110% recommend her for your wedding day (or any special event you have).

Carrie was totally down to earth and very comfortable to be around. She kept in communication, flexible with her schedule and payment was simple and straight forward with her. I did a trial with her the day before the wedding and she was flexible with her styling and supported my choices. She understood what I was going for with my makeup. She even provided some background music to make things more relaxed. My hair looked great but didn't hold, probably because of the wind. But my makeup withheld lots of tears. It was a great experience and I was really happy she worked with me. I was so nice of her to do the honor of helping me get buttoned into my gown. She was grounding for me when I really needed it and her personality reminded me to stand my ground on my day. She's got good vibes, great smile and knows what she's doing.

Carrie was Phenomenal!!! My mom and I hired Carrie for my mom’s March 8th wedding in Sedona and she was great to work with. I went with a soft glam makeup and curls look, and it turned exactly as I wanted! The look lasted all day long and still looked amazing at the end of the night. Carrie was on time and finished before she estimated, which was awesome because have it gave us a bit of down time before we needed to get dressed. We loved Carrie and her work so much that for the next big event we have we’re booking her again without hesitation.

I am a very well established wedding coordinator from St. Louis, Mo. I had planned my engagement photo’s to be taken at cathedral Rock in Sedona. Originally, I had taken the recommendation from another vendor of another stylist in the Sedona area. When that stylists cancelled on me THE DAY BEFORE I reached out to Carrie. Not only did she rearrange her whole day to come to my hotel and do my hair and make up but she did it with a level of professionalism that is desperately needed in our industry. For my hair and make up, I would be hiking I needed something that would stay. Not only was her work stunning, I looked just as stunning when the photos were finished as I did the moment she handed me the mirror when she was finished my hair and make up at the hotel. I posted a picture on social media when we arrived back to the car and had many people text me asking me what “work” I had done. This was after sweating for two hours my make up still looked so great people thought I had had cosmetic work done. Lol. I have worked with hundreds of stylists over my 11 years in the wedding industry and if I could fly her to STL to do my brides I would. I am using her for my wedding next year, and will use her anytime I need hair and make up done in AZ in the future. If you are looking for someone for your wedding, photo shoot, fashion show or for tv work she is who you need.

Carrie did my hair and makeup for my elopement in Sedona. I was thrilled with the results! My hair looked great even after the wind and mini-hike we did for some of our photos. Carrie was wonderful to work with! I live in Chicago but was getting married in Sedona - which worked out perfectly as we did my trail in Chicago. I have Celiac Disease and was very particular in looking for a makeup artist who could guarantee I would be safe on my wedding day as makeup can have hidden gluten. I cried happy tears quite a few times on my wedding day and my makeup still looked 100% at the end of the night. ALSO for my hair, I have naturally curly hair and it is its own beast. No day is the same and it's very thick. Carrie was able to make it behave and style it perfectly without ruining my curls for the day. My girls also loved their hair and makeup on the day of. Everyone looked amazing! Working with Carrie was so easy, plus she is an absolute gem!

Carrie was the best choice for hair/make up on my wedding day. Because I live far away, I wasn’t able to do a trial run, but she still killed it!
