wered all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable with the planning process. The night before, I showed up with a box and an instruction sheet and just left it there! While I went to dinner with family and greeted guests in town, the team at Carrie Nation set up the reception exactly as I had imagined. We booked the Beacon Room and had a wedding reception of exactly 40 people (including our photographer and ourselves). The tables/guest count fit perfectly in a seated reception with plenty of room for cakes, signature book and a first dance. My husband and I were both soooo happy when we walked into our reception! The guests were really wowed by the location and loved exploring the speakeasy and rest of the venue. I can personally attest that the food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing - people were constantly coming up to us and asking if we needed something, catering to everything. We put on our own personal playlist and played the songs we wanted in the room, including our first dance song! Just a 10/10 experience for us and we couldn't recommend the location more. :)

y on our chosen day. What we got was so much more! The staff was INCREDIBLE from the start. Margie, the events leader, is beyond amazing. She is totally laid back, listens to what you are looking for, and then EXECUTES. We were able to be flexible with the group menu (and we got TONS of compliments), the layout, the drink selection, and even the timing of the day. Based on the schedule of our weekend I had dropped off our minimal decor/guestbook/etc, with ZERO instructions, and did not have a chance to check in at all. When we walked in from our ceremony the drinks and apps were flowing and the place looked gorgeous. She really went above and beyond to make the entire experience stress free. All of the bar and waitstaff were also incredible, and not only took care of our guests, but always made sure the two of us had drinks in hand, and plates of food made up and at the ready. I would DEFINITELY host another event here!

e private front room reserved for our party, and the service was outstanding. No one was ever left wanting for a refill and the food was fantastic. They had a very nice cheese and fruit spread to start as we mingled, and the meal itself came out swiftly and expertly.
Many of my guests were from out of town, Midwesterners unfamiliar with big East Coast cities, and this place really dazzled them. It is steeped in a historical neighborhood and the aesthetic of the venue matches the area. There's a saloon in the back and round leather booths in the main dining area. And velvet touch wallpaper!!!
I have no idea what it was like to work with the venue to arrange the evening, or how economical the pricing was... but from a guest's perspective, it was fantastic!
