Steven got our rowdy bridal party ready to go at the rehearsal and really helped us relax before the big day. They checked in with multiple emails the weeks before to make sure we didn't have any questions and all the details were covered - this included emails directly to our vendors to get everyone on the same page. On the day of, Angie checked in multiple times to keep us on schedule and even went out to grab a bouquet of flowers AND plucked the petals off for our "Flower Granny". She also helped setup and takedown all of the decorations. Steven made sure the events of the night, like the speeches, went off without a hitch and then got everyone to party. He is a force on the dance floor and made sure everyone had a great time. Finally, their photobooth service is awesome - they print multiple copies for the guest, the bride/groom, AND one to paste into an adorable scrapbook. They even give you a magnet of your photo and a flash drive with all of them on it. They were truly a HUGE part of making our dream day even better than our wildest dreams and we cannot recommend them enough.

It was so much fun and something different than the rest of the wedding prep and planning. Steven was a great teacher and this was one of my favorite parts of our wedding planning process. Steven created a fun and positive environment during our lessons and throughout planning. Day of, Steven and Angie helped the day run so smoothly. They were great with our other vendors and our guests absolutely adored them! So many of our guests were impressed with the DJ service and are still reaching out to us about it several weeks later. We had been able to get to know Steven through the dance lessons and he was so supportive and encouraging when we were feeling a little nervous before our first dance. We cannot recommend Carter Events enough! Everything exceeded our expectations and they helped make our day so amazing!

We were able to meet with our DJ before booking to make sure he was a good fit and get an idea of how everything would go. We were sent a super helpful event planner that made choosing dinner music and group songs (Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.) really simple as well as giving a good idea of the music and atmosphere we wanted throughout the reception. We also received help creating a timeline of events for the evening which was great since I didn't know we needed help with it until we had to plan it. Everything ran so smoothly. So many of our guests told us they had a great time and had a lot of fun dancing, and we did, too! Everyone loved the photo booth and we even got a fun little album of all of the pictures from the night and a flashdrive with the photos. Absolutely would recommend to anyone. So, so happy with our choice to use Carter Events!

Everything was so seamless and both my husband and I regretted that we didn’t have more dancefloor time (you know how you just keep getting dragged away into conversations). We were running behind, and he was so communicative, on task, and in the zone! 3) He has a freaking photobooth, and his attendant Samantha is a goddess at keeping everyone super hyped! 4) He's a genuinely a super freaking nice guy, so you'd be supporting a really great person. Everyone raved about Steven, and he truly made our wedding go off without a hitch (when honestly, it could have been a logistical dumpster fire without him). My heart is so full of love for both Steven and Samantha, and I feel so so lucky to have worked with them both!

Steven set up two DJ booths for each floor of our venue; downstairs for cocktail hour and upstairs for dinner/dancing. He did a great job and everyone could tell he loved what he did all night. He kept the music at appropriate levels all and announced the speeches with professionalism. We had a huge group with a liking of mainstream pop and country hits which he nailed. He is a bang for your buck and you won't regret this DJ ! There isn't a dance he can't master.

I got several complements on my hair and make up looking great and very natural (I NEVER wear makeup so I was very worried about this). Kati was FANTASTIC and a delight to work with (she did both hair/makeup and photobooth). She managed the kids that kept wanting to do the photobooth and made deals with them so they could have fun without blocking the adults who also needed a turn. Our DJ was great and responsive. Was really good about respecting our wishes of not forcing everyone on the dance floor, staying a little more low key, and keeping the music at a good level (wedding was during COVID so we expected more people would be avoiding the dance floor so we had table games and things for smaller groups which worked well). The videographer was very professional and courteous the day of. This is the only area where I feel "you get what you paid for" applies. We got a great deal on the videographer but the quality of the final product reflects that. There was a smudge on the lens that is apparent in the final product in several parts of the video. It isn't the best editing in my opinion. And any clips he got during the reception of guests speaking to the camera, you can barely hear because of the background noise/ omni direction mic. HOWEVER-- we really just wanted the wedding documented for guests that couldn't make it and for the few times we might actually watch it in our lives so for the price we are still happy with it and got what we needed out of it, just not super impressed by it. The ceremony, speeches, first dance and the big moments like that are all clean and clear enough to have documented it well for our needs.

It was truly a perfect day, and I am so happy we chose Steven. I would highly recommend him to anyone for any sound stuff or officiating. He was great!!

They all met with us on numerous occasions before the wedding to go over details and always very responsive with emails/questions. Even with some family drama that required changing things up a bit the day of, Steve and Angela handled everything like pros. I would highly recommend them for any event you are having! We also had the uplighting which looked fantastic in our venue!
