Our wedding was the best day of our lives and would not have been the same without Steven and his team 💕 We got Angie as our DOC, and she took care of EVERYTHING! Between making sure everything was set up how it needed to be, the communication with caterers and making sure everything got to the right people, to picking up our cakes and delivering my bouquet to my florist for preservation! She took sooo much stress off our shoulders! We had Adam as our DJ, and he was HYPE! He absolutely understood the assignment and kept the party going all night! We also got dance lessons from Steven, which was the BEST idea! He was so knowledgeable and was a blast to learn from! We had the best first dance imaginable and got endless compliments 💕 We are so extremely happy we went with them, and we would recommend them to anyone getting married!

If you are looking for a day of coordinator and DJ who are going to make your wedding absolutely perfect, than book Carter Events. We had Steven as our DJ and Angie as our DOC. They both had such attention to detail in our planning process, and that's another thing that makes them amazing, the planning process. We didn't just meet with them once to discuss the day. We met 3-4 different times before the big day to discuss timeline, music, and vision. They helped so much get everything into focus. On the day of, Angie helped with last minute decorations, desserts, appetizers, and so much more that I as the bride probably didn't see. Our head table was lacking decor and she helped spruce it up and it looked amazing. DJ Steven used all the song suggestions I gave to make a phenomenal night of dancing that included 80s, 90s, a large Spanish mix, and everything in between. Everyone danced all night- it was the most I have ever seen on a dance floor until the very end. Also, the uplight was beautiful! We used a purple color and it looked awesome in our space! I recommend you book them if you want to have a flawless day!

My husband and I attended a wedding a couple years ago that Steven was a DJ at, and we loved him so much that we got his business card. Fast forward 3 years, he DJ'd our wedding a couple weeks ago and was AMAZING! Not only did he keep our dance floor PACKED, but he made sure everything went smoothly and was a fantastic MC. We got so many compliments from our guests during and afterwards, we couldn't recommend Steven and Carter Events and Entertainment enough!!

Carter Events And Entertainment was a fantastic choice for our wedding entertainment. Steven was our contact-person during the event planning process and our DJ at the wedding. Steven was very friendly and provided clear communication and helpful knowledge throughout the planning process. He was able to provide audio equipment, including mics, as a part of our package. At the reception, Steven was lively and professional, and— maybe most importantly— he kept our guests on the dance floor! I would recommend to someone who values organized event-planning and wants their guests to have a fun time!

My husband and I just got married 2 weeks ago and Cater Events and Entertainment was our DJ for our wedding! We had Adam as our DJ and we had Sam who ran our Photo Booth! They both did absolutely amazing and kept us up and dancing the whole night, and also provided up an amazing photo album of our guests! Very easy to work with and are super helpful if you have any questions! I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a DJ for their wedding!

We hired Carter Events & Entertainment for our wedding DJ/MC services, and there were definitely some positives to note! From our initial inquiry all the way through to the big day, our DJ and main point-of-contact, Steven, was very organized and thorough. He kept communication clear and made the planning process easy to navigate. We also appreciated that the pricing was fair with no hidden fees or surprises. We liked how the total payment was broken down into smaller chunks making it easier to stay on top of finances during the planning process. That said, we did run into a few challenges. Our wedding vision was a bit more laid-back than Carter Events & Entertainment may be used to—we weren’t looking for a super high-energy DJ who gets out on the dance floor with guests, a large metal T-Bar set-up, or a lot of dance floor lighting—but it often felt like Steven was trying to steer us in a different direction. It came across at times as if he was trying to change our minds rather than support our preferences for our wedding day vision, which created some unnecessary tension during the planning process. The biggest issue came at the end of the night. As the bride, I made a last-minute song request (a long song...just under 6-minutes in length), and unfortunately, Steven seemed visibly frustrated by the change of plans after stating how he was ready to play his final planned song(s) and then clear the guests out for our private last dance. I kindly told him we could forget about the private last dance if needed so we wouldn't go over his scheduled time. He did not seem happy about this change of plans. He begrudgingly switched gears and played the requested song with no transition from the last, and then the music ended rather abruptly at the end of the night with no final announcement or proper sendoff, which was disappointing and left things feeling a bit unfinished and awkward. It was clear the deviation from his original plan was not well-received, which put a damper on the close of the celebration. Many guests could feel the tension as Steven was packing his things up with his wife while people were still standing on the dance floor confused as to whether or not the event was over. Several guests and vendors asked me and my husband what had just happened with the DJ because the tension was clear. All things considered, Steven arrived on time in polished attire, was professional up until the end of the evening, and played all of our "must play" songs, which we truly appreciated. There were no sound issues, and our spotlight dances and speeches were carried out smoothly. The dance floor was full all night long, and we had so much fun dancing with our guests. Steven kept the energy level low-key as we had initially requested and ultimately respected our wishes for minimal dance floor lighting after a bit of back-and-forth discussion about both of those things during the planning process. I just wish the night had ended on a smoother, more celebratory note with less tension.

Absolutely loved Carter Events! Very quick to respond to all communication whether text, call, or email and made us feel very comfortable and well prepared for our wedding. Our DJ Steve N kept the vibe going and read the crowd to keep the dance floor full all night! Would definitely recommend and hire again!

We had Stephen as our DJ for our small wedding and he was amazing! So full of energy, he went above and beyond to keep our guests engaged and entertained. Ever since booking with Carter Events & Entertainment in 2022, Steven Carter has been absolutely amazing to work with. Every time I reached out with a question, Steven was very responsive and willing to answer my questions as well as give honest advice/feedback from his perspective as the expert. The energy that Steven brought on the day of my wedding was unmatched and contagious. Our wedding party had so much fun getting ready for the grand march with him. Throughout the reception, Steven would join our guests out on the dancefloor and kept the energy so fun. I don't know how he does it, but his energy did not seem to die at all the entire night. My parents even made a comment to me after my wedding day about how fun it was to watch Steven do his thing - he is an entertainer for sure. I will remember for a long time how much fun I had on the dancefloor thanks to Steven. I truly have nothing negative to say about our experience working with Carter Events & Entertainment. If I were to plan a wedding again, I would choose Carter Events & Entertainment as my DJ every time. We will be recommending them every chance we get. Angie was an amazing photographer and really captured the moments we wanted. She really helped us with the poses we wanted for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. DJ Steve was also amazing, his music choices were great based on the suggestions of music we liked and he kept the vibes high during the whole reception. Angie and Steve were great at keeping our ceremony and reception on track and I would definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

We have a family connection with CEE so we were pretty sure we were going to use them to DJ our wedding but I'm so happy that that connection got us to CEE. Always on top of response times, reasonably priced, especially compared to a lot of other similar vendors in Milwaukee. Went with all the unique details of our day and were quick to answer an questions or address changing needs. On the day of I didn't even notice them setting up - everything just appeared so no issues with promptness or professionalism there. Knew how to get people onto the dance floor when numbers were low and how to have fun with the crowd. Worked with all the song requests we had set up. 100% satisfied

I used this vendor as our DJ and our photographer. Steven and Angie's professionalism, kindness, and all around attitudes were amazing from start to finish. I would have been lost with out some of the ideas and opinions they shared with me due to me having a c-section baby 2 weeks prior to our wedding. You don't meet many people now a days that'll take the time and give you honest and helpful advice. I will definitely be booking them for other events in the future. Thank you for your fun and energetic personalities and it'll be something I never forget.

Steven and Angie were amazing to work with! They had our back the entire day and really ensured our day went smooth! We were able to enjoy the day without anything going wrong because of them! We initially chose Carter Events and Entertainment because it was the DJ our venue recommended. We are so glad they did! We had Steven as our DJ, he is a ball of energy! We met with him and he gave us a form to fill out about what exactly we were looking for in a DJ, level of involvement, music genres, do not plays and so much more! He laid it out and made it super easy for us to communicate what we wanted. Our wedding ran so smoothly because of him and the timeline he helped create for us. Once we were on the dance floor he played exactly what we were anticipating and just looked like he was having fun, which you can’t say about every DJ! We initially opted for no lights, but a couple weeks before wanted lighting added. So simple to do and so glad we did add it! 10/10 recommend for your wedding or event!!!!

Incredible experience from the initial meeting all the way to the end of our wedding night. The coordinator and DJ were both beyond amazing. During the wedding, our DJ Dan was in constant communication to make sure everything was going just as we wanted, making sure he played all the songs we wanted, and even stayed until the very end of the night so he could congratulate us one more time before leaving. We were blown away, and will be recommending them to all our friends getting married.

Starting with choreography of our first dance. Steven put so much heart and effort to teach us. Everyone said at the wedding that we should be next for audition for Dancing with the stars show. The planning for the wedding was so great. You captured every single detail on the books. Katti was so involved into the day of coordinating and did an amazing job! Our DJ Adam was great! Our DJ Steve Naumann from Carter Events and Entertainment was amazing!! He took pictures of our event and decorations, of us dancing, of us, etc. We got to pick what he would wear for our big day! He read the crowd and played music accordingly! He also played music that would interest all generations! We had many compliments about him from our guests. The music was not played so loud that you could not hear or have a conversation away from the dance floor which was awesome! He was very incredible and was able to move few things around in our agenda when stuff was behind or ahead! It was everything we wanted! We also had the pleasure of working with Steven Carter who was equally as amazing! They were both very respectful and willing to figure out a way to achieve what we wanted! We first met Steven touring a different venue than what we booked and quickly got to talking about what we envisioned for our big day. We chatted about his DJ services and he never once pressured us to book him, he was giving us ideas as a genuine human being. A few months passed and Steven reached out seeing if we were still in need of a DJ for our wedding. Once we got our venue booked, we couldn’t say no to Steven. He was awesome from the day we met. He sent us a detailed planner to fill out for song choices, must play list, do not play list, etc. The whole process working with Steven was a breeze. He was SO patient with us as we changed our minds on songs, even after the planner was due. He is very reasonably priced compared to other DJ companies in the Milwaukee area. We only booked him for ceremony and reception music, but he has a TON of different things you can add on which is awesome (photobooth, uplighting, and so much more). The day of our wedding he was on time and extremely professional. Our ceremony music was perfectly timed. He kept our guests on the dance floor and played music on our must play list. He had fun transitions from song to song. He was dancing behind the DJ booth which every single guest enjoyed. He even danced with me for a song which was so fun! My guests commented on him throughout the whole night how awesome and fun he was (two weeks later and they’re still talking about how amazing he was)! I didn’t hire a day of coordinator and he took on the responsibility of releasing tables and so much more. I wanted multiple group photos of us with all our guests by family and friend group and Steven was great at announcing each group to make that happen. 10/10 would recommend Carter Events and Entertainment with Steven for your wedding day! He has the best vibes and is so easy to work with. Steven we can’t thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day a success!!

Our experience with Steven Carter was wonderful! From the very start, he was extremely attentive to our questions, and quick to respond! When it came to our music preferences, he carefully put together our song choices and requests, and came up with a fantastic set of playlists for each part of our wedding day. He was so much fun to work with, and did an outstanding job keeping our crowd pumped up, and on the dance floor! The music, lighting, sound system, and even his personality was out of this world, and we cannot recommend him enough!

Wow! These guys killed it at our wedding. We were so lucky to have booked Carter Events and Entertainment for our ceremony and reception. Steve acted so quickly and without any direction when our ceremony quickly changed location as it started to down pour outside. He handled it so seamlessly! Steve’s ability to read the crowd was so impressive, our dance floor was never empty all night long! My favorite part was the very end of the night, the bride and groom just wanted one more drink and Steve sprinted outside and found them each one more cocktail as the bartenders packed up. So thoughtful and just a genuinely fun person to have run the show at our big day! We would 1000% recommend Carter Events and Entertainment to all of the soon to be Mr and Mrs out there.

Steven and DJ Steve were fantastic to work with. During the planning process, they were communicative and listened to our feedback throughout. On the actual day of our wedding, Steve made sure that we were always informed of what was upcoming from his side and anything he needed from us. He found all our requested songs, including some Broadway songs that I don't always expect DJs to have. We also heard feedback that he was "quite unannoying", which was high praise in that instance! It meant he perfectly read the vibe of our guests and just made sure to jump in to mention important things rather than trying to be a center of attention when that wouldn't have fit our wedding. We would definitely work with them again, and would recommend them to others as well.

I took away some stars for some complaints I have. I’m unsure if it was the venue’s fault or the sound system they brought in, but I was told by multiple people throughout the night that they couldn’t hear anything, from the speeches, to the shoe game, to the actual music, so that was a bit disappointing considering the speeches were my favorite part of the night. Another thing is I was asked to make a list of songs I really wanted to have played… and only some of the songs were played, which was disappointing once again. Besides that, Carter and his team are very easy to work with and the meetings we had were very helpful in the planning process, very nice people! Our DJ and officiant were right on schedule.

We had the privilege of having Steve as our DJ! Traveled across the state to share our special evening with us! He wore the amazing flamingo suite and jammed out with us all night! So much fun, highly recommend! The communication was amazing. Responded to emails promptly and we even had a zoom call to make sure all the details were set! In Summer ‘22 I stood in a wedding for which Steven was the DJ. My then fiance and I were so impressed with him that we took a business card and wanted to hire him for our wedding in Winter ‘23. He took considerable effort not only to understand how we imagined our wedding, but also sharing his expertise during our planning stages. He gave us insightful recommendations and one or two cautionary tales–never to scare us, rather to help educate us. When the day came, Steven made such a lasting impression on our friends and family. The dance floor was electric all night long! A year later people still tell my wife and I how much fun they had at our wedding reception, much of the credit owed to Steven.
