I truly had such an amazing experience at Carter! I handed a box to Lauren with all of my items, and she knew what to do with all of it. No questions asked. She even added her personal touch to everything to make my experience even better. It truly felt so magical. I never had to worry about anything, the day of, and she even helped put out fires that she didn’t need to. If you want to have food that people will not stop raving about, then you need to come to Carter. If you are looking for beautiful scenery and a staff that is ready to make your wedding the best party of your life, then you need to come to Carter. had a lot of guests compliment how special our ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner were— many even reached out later to tell us how wonderful it was and how much fun they had! We also had a lot of out-of-town guests who stayed onsite at the Villas which was convenient and nice (shoutout to Ms. Lynette!) Everyone at Carter went above and beyond.

Mrs. Lauren will get you set up with everything prior to the wedding and coordinate what is needed! Book your rehearsal dinner the night before with them also! They’ll teach you line dances while having a damn good time themselves! I’m beyond thankful for the staff at Carter Plantation and so glad we chose them for our wedding venue! is so willing and makes you feel like she’s known you forever. She has great communication and response time. She has a closet full of nice decorations for a simple, but elegant wedding. There are wonderful spots around the property for beautiful pictures!! The price is the best you’ll find for what you get out of it. It was all perfect!!! I would do it all over again at Carter Plantation. I got so many compliments on details within the entire night and it was not because of me, it was because of the venue as a whole coming together to make the night perfect.

Carter Plantation is easily one of the best options for a Louisiana wedding! I toured Carter Plantation with some hesitancy due to not really wanting a "golf course" wedding. Laure...
n Sadler, the event coordinator, and I were able to brainstorm and come up with my dream come true! We worked with the Carter Plantation Historic House, and I ended up with a dreamy, classic, timeless venue that was not on the actual course.
When I tell people about my venue, I emphasize how amazing Lauren Sadler is. She is what makes Carter so great! She is responsive, informed, passionate, hardworking, etc. I could go on and on. When you are a Carter Plantation bride, she becomes your coordinator and best friend for the next several months. I went to her with problems that someone else would say "That is not my problem" but she made it her priority. Lauren helped me pick out suits, decor, and so much more. When you think there is a problem, it is never a problem to her. Lauren is a problem solver, critical thinker, and expert in the industry.
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, loved the food at Carter! I recommend having the fried catfish on your menu as an entree, ours were gone by the end of the night!

The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast! ent above and beyond to make sure my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing during the rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and even the after party! The venue price included coordinating, tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and even floral decor for the ceremony. The only flowers we had to purchase elsewhere were for the wedding party and family members. I liked that the venue was able to cater food and drinks…one less vendor I needed to find. There are also villas available to rent on the property, which was perfect for wedding party members, close family, and friends. We were able to literally walk across the street to the venue before the rehearsal and ceremony. All of the staff were so helpful and kind, the bartenders were EXCELLENT, the entire venue is absolutely beautiful. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Carter Plantation and the event planning staff.
On top of all the great things, the bride and groom also get a photo session on the property, a complimentary golf game, and complimentary honeymoon suite on the night of the wedding. Honestly, I’m sure there are other amazing things that I’m forgetting, but we LOVED this venue & staff, and all of our guests had so much fun with us, which is exactly what we wanted!! 🤩😊

e is the wedding planner all MOB dream of. She understood our vision for my daughters wedding & made it happen. Even when a vendor fell short, Lauren stepped in and saved the day. Her professionalism and dedication to her job is unsurpassed.
This was my 4th daughter’s wedding and it was very emotional for me to make sure everything was in perfect order, it simply was PERFECT . Lauren communicated with all of our vendors and took that responsibility away from me, which I must say was a God send.
The staff catered to not only our needs but our guests as well. They were an absolute dream to work with.
We stayed the weekend at The Villas on property and it was perfect. The accommodations fit our needs as well as our out of town guests.
If anyone is considering this venue, I would recommend a thousand times YES!

The event team at Carter gave everything to make sure our night was perfect. Lauren was an angel sent from above and went above and beyond to meet my every need! From always being there to manage and tend to our large family and wedding party to making sure every detail of my wedding vision come to life even better than I’d planned, or even racing over to my villa to bring me a comb for a hair malfunction right before pictures🥹, she was such a blessing and pleasure to work with! Coming from someone who used to coordinate weddings, my expectations were high and she far exceeded them!! Danielle, Nicole, and Victoria did an amazing job as well! They truly made an impression on all of our friends and family and helped make our experience one they will all be talking about for ages!! Danielle consistently made sure me and my husband and our families were taken care of and always had a drink or whatever we needed. There is no better team to trust with such an important event!!! The entire weekend was flawless! We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night, a round of golf for the guys Saturday morning, wedding Saturday night, and brunch Sunday! It made everything so easy to have our family and wedding party stay in the villas for the weekend so we didn’t have to go anywhere from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning! Not having to worry about travel in the midst of all that craziness is a lifesaver! We got married in the atrium and had our reception in the ballroom and everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t say it enough; our wedding at Carter Plantation was a DREAM COME TRUE! The best staff, the best food, the best venue, the best value—I mean seriously, none compare!!!!

e's a super hero, but I was so beyond pleased with my experience. She even helped me deal with those awkward family dynamics that no one really knows how to deal with. She brought my vision to life. We did our wedding on a budget, so I didn't have a flower or decorator budget, but that didn't matter because Lauren had an entire storage room of literally every decoration you could think of. Down to bouquets. She executed seamlessly, answered all of the questions, troubleshooted anything I wasn't sure about, and was there with me every step of the way on the day of. I couldn't say enough nice things about Lauren. Seriously, book Carter for your wedding and enjoy stress free planning and wedding day!

She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day of our lives! She would have things done before I could even think to ask! Lauren was at the venue all day making sure everything was exactly what we wanted. At one point she called a company back to fix their work because she knew it was not what we paid for. times with any questions we had. Lauren was always available via phone or text with any concerns we had The day of the wedding was nothing short of exceptional. Lauren and staff made sure all details were taken care of and all things ran smooth. As a mother of the Bride it was refreshing to be able to enjoy the day without running around tying up loose ends. The grounds were clean and very well kept. The reception was beautifully decorated by the staff at Carter Plantation and the food was amazing.

She even got on her hands and knees to clean a smashed caterpillar off my dress right before the ceremony!!! Everything was beautiful and we could not be more thankful for all of her help!! Our wedding day was 100% stressful free thanks to Lauren and the staff at Carter Plantation! We also got a complimentary wedding suite in The Villas that was a huge plus!!! any questions, concerns, and suggestions we may have had. Carter Plantation has everything you need for your wedding: amazing coordinator, multiple catering packages, drink packages, villas for guests to stay and different packages if you want to book more than one room for wedding/reception. We booked the atrium for our ceremony and the ballroom for our reception. The guests had an amazing time, the food was excellent, and the coordination was perfect. Lauren makes sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently and she makes sure you (the bride and groom) have an excellent time at your own wedding! It was everything we could have ever dreamed for and more!!!

and accommodating, she also was a great day of coordinator. She came by to wish my good morning and check on us. She also set up all of my decor (which majority was provided by her through Carter). And the reception ran smoothly..even when we had to run over to the villas to find my garter to toss! She ran to get it and came back in a timely manner. Her and the staff were great to work with. Thankful to have had a venue with decor already provided and a staff so well equipped. 12/10 RECOMMEND.
