d he did not disappoint! He was so patient, as I changed my song requests several times over the eight months of planning for our special day. As we got closer to the date, he helped me come up with an itinerary and worked with the photographer (they had worked together before, which was a plus) to ensure everything flowed smoothly on our wedding day. He even helped calm my nerves on the phone a couple of days before the wedding when a storm threatened to ruin our outdoor event. He assured me, he'd been doing what he does best for many years, and everything would be just fine. In fact, our wedding day was better that fine. It was such a great day. Ray made sure everyone had a great time, played music everyone could dance to, and kept things moving right along. We finally had to tell everyone to go home or they would have partied all night long. My family and friends are still talking about him. He was very professional and went through the reception step by step, song by song so I knew what to expect. I made a few changes to our song choices in the days before our wedding, and DJ Ray was so accommodating, making sure we were both on exactly the same page. It was clear Mr. Cartwright was a professional the moment we contacted him 6 months prior to the wedding. he continued his excellent service days after the ceremony. He attached an email complete with about 50 pictures he took of the night from his D.J. booth. He took complete control of the night and was courteous to my bride and I when he pulled us aside for additional instructions or suggestions. He read our audience perfectly and catered to the audience in every aspect of the ceremony. I simply can't describe just how helpful he was to us. He literally gathered all of the wedding party, rallied us together and even personally fixed each one of our ties and pocket squares. I get chills thinking about what our ceremony would have been without him. Secretly, I think for the service he provided to us, he was quite underpriced (but don't tell him I said that). I would recommend D.J. SugarRay Cartwright to any wedding of any capacity, venue, or age group. this guy is a professional.

We got rid of that reject with the quickness. Knowing how much my wife worries i knew I had to do something fast. I googled wedding DJ's and found a long list of DJ's. I figured i wouldn't have any options since it was only 2 weeks til the wedding. I came across Ray's profile online and looked up his website. We decided to give Ray a call and just explain the dilemma we were in. It must have been a blessing from above. After telling Ray what we had been experiencing, Ray with his calm demeanor told us not to worry because he was free that day. He told us to see if we could get our money back from the venue for the DJ and if we could he would be happy to be our DJ. My wife and I met up with Ray a few days later and we went over the songs we wanted to play for the wedding ceremony. Ray asked if he could be free to add some of his personality to the services and we agreed. We both walked away from Ray's home office with confidence and like a boulder had been lifted off our shoulders. The day of the event Ray showed up on time just like he said he would. I met with him as he observed the venue. Ray set up for the ceremony and was very attentive with me and my bride right before everything was set to begin. I wouldn't expect this out of a DJ but he was very helpful. Ray is so professional he made it look like he had be planning for our wedding for months. Everything was on point with the schedule. The most important thing was that the music and Ray's MC abilities are paramount. Our wedding was a bit unique in the way of the demographic of guest. The more mature crowd, mixed with young, white, black and latin. I'm a huge Salsa fan and knew that Ray would be able to deliver but again that's a wide rage to cater to. All I can say is he exceeded our expectations by far. Our family and friends appeared to have had a great time. My wife and I had a freaking blast. Next to Marrying my best friend, because of Ray I wish we could do it again. That's how much fun we had. The last over the top thing that Ray did was he posted pictures that he took that night on his facebook page for us to enjoy. If you are getting married or throwing a party, you need to look no further. You need to call this man and tell him what you need and he will take care of the rest.....GUARANTEED!!!! Thanks Ray!!!

And, the best part is that our guests were none the wiser- the ceremony went off without a hitch, and the music was playing all night long!

hat we needed. Ray had great ideas and was very professional yet very friendly about everything. He gave us great advice on what kind of music to play for all types and ages of people to get them dancing. My husband and I changed out minds on a few songs a few different times along the way and Ray was very understanding and always happy to hear from us. The Monday prior to the wedding, when the bride and groom are suppose to be calling and confirming with all the vendors, Ray called me to make sure everything was set and that we were on the same page. I appreciated that soo soo much. I could tell he really cared about our wedding day and wanted to make sure everything went perfect for us. The wedding day, Ray showed up early to set up at our two different locations. He was ready to go and was on top of everything. He coordinated all of the ceremony songs and everyone's entrances. Once the ceremony was over, he was quick to pack up his equipment and make it to the reception hall prior to our guests. He was so entertaining that most of our guests didn't even realize that our cocktail hour was more like a cocktail hour and a half. Once my husband and I arrived at the reception hall, Ray made sure he had all of the bridal parties names correctly and the couples paired up correctly. Then he announced us. He did amazing at getting just about everyone up and dancing. People that I would never expect to get up and shake it, actually were. It was great. It was a good time. The entire time, he was coordinating and working with the photographers and venue managers so well to make sure everything was running smoothly and on time. Mr. Cartwright was personable, friendly, kind, caring, hilarious and the perfect person for our wedding. I would not have done it any other way. Our guests were so entertained and having such a wonderful time. I have people still calling me and talking about how GREAT our DJ was. "Best DJ I've Ever Seen" "Can You Believe Who Was All Dancing" "I Will Need His Name and Contact Information For When I Get Married" "He was AWESOME" Sooo Many wonderful comments about Ray. Bottom Line: He did an amazing job. People would be missing out not having him at their DJ for any and all events that need a life to the party.

n. I remeber looking for DJ's and good ol Yelp helped me find the best one out there! DJ Sugar Ray gave excellent customer service from the moment he called me to set up a meeting. We met to go over the style of wedding and put together a playlist of our favorite songs as well as a timeline! Honestly that timeline was a GOD sent because he has been in the industry for years and he gave wonderful advice on when we should place our dancers/singers and other normal wedding rituals. Then once the wedding started he communicated with the venue about dinner serving and everything else, he was ON TOP of it and gave me the chance to relax and not worry about the timeline or anything else. He is more than a DJ and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend him to anyone out there!!!! His price is reasonable and trust me you will want to give him a good tip at the end of the night. he DJ at my cousin's wedding a few years ago and he was awesome -- it was a no brainer. When it came time for our wedding, DJ Sugar Ray was amazing. Not only does he know how to get a party started, and keep it going, he also took care of the music and timeline of the ceremony and reception from start to finish. DJ Sugar Ray was helpful with picking out songs for specific moments, and he remained patient with my last minute song changes. I could go on about our wonderful experience working with DJ Sugar Ray but I will just close by saying he is the best and you'd be silly not to book Cartwright's DJ Services for your event!

Whether he was taking photos, schmoozing with the guests, calming down the bridal party (even lending a hand with wardrobe!), or just making sure I was informed of our "timeline" --- I couldn't have asked for anything better! Outside of all that, our guests LOVED him - not only at the wedding, but well after, many of our friends and family have just raved about Ray and how much fun they had at our wedding, crediting a big part of its success to Ray himself. One guest even got his card and is planning on booking him for her holiday company party! He took our "must" playlist and mixed it with favorites for everyone in attendance and the outcome was perfect - everyone was happy with his selections and danced the night away! On a side note, but something that was really wonderful for me, Ray was the first person to send me pictures of our wedding (our photographer, who is also excellent, is very busy and I guess a little behind!) and I love them! Just seeing part of our day through his eyes has been helpful in quelling my desire while waiting for the professional shots to arrive. Bottom line, we made the right choice in going with DJ Sugar Ray and would recommend him to anyone and everyone! He's top notch and you'll never find anyone better :)
