My husband and I booked Casa de Lago for our wedding 2 years in advance. Our first meeting and tour was scheduled with Melinda. Melinda was great from the beginning to the end. The...
booking process was easy. Having the option to make payments was great. The food tasting process was easy. Whenever I had a question throughout the process I would get a response quickly and all my questions would be answered. On the day of our wedding Melinda was very helpful and attentive. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was great. None of our guests had any complaints. We heard nothing but good things from our guests about the food, the place, the bartender, the servers and the security guards. The entire staff that casa de lago had the night of our wedding are the best. Thank you to all the staff for everything!
DO NOT HAVE AN EVENT HERE. Recently spent $3,549 for renting this venue and $5,000 on decorations here for a week-night event(Sangeet) at Casa De Lago. The venue itself is nice but...
the staff and management of this venue are HORRIBLE. Couple of things I will share from my experience:
1) Security Harassed and searched all my guest's bags as they entered the venue. (Completely ruined the classiness of our event and was not mentioned when we signed contract)
2) The Staff had not prepared the plates, buffet tables and completely ignored the timeline of the event we had laid out.
3) We had paid for a hosted bar where we would supply the bar with alcohol to serve and the unused bottles were to be returned at the end of the night. THE STAFF HAD NO INTENTIONS OF RETURNING ANY OF THE HIGH END BOTTLES AND FRANKLY STOLE THE HIGH END BOTTLES AND TOLD US THEY RAN OUT. At the end of the night we saw the staff had hidden some bottles into a back room by the bar.
4) Staff harassed our caterer with locations for his setup.
Overall I believe this venue is not suited for any kind of cultural event other then Quinceaneras. If you are south asian and like myself have planned to have a classy event, then you should avoid any of the venues that fall under this management.
Everything went great. Very cute venue. The food was great, the layout of the tables, place settings, and the linens as well. They had redone the bathrooms and repainted the outsid...
e of the venue. They coordinated with all of my vendors on where they need to be and what times they need to be there. We even used a couple of their vendors they recommended. The best part is they left my food out so i can keep eating through out the night and followed up with me a couple of times just to make sure. The only couple of things i did not like was the edges of the dance floor were falling apart and were ductaped together and we were told we could use the TVs for our picture slide show (that took me over a month to create) to find out that the company decided to remove them and i was not informed of it until i called 2 months before i called.
Everything went great
Competitively priced compared to other venues. Casa De Lago needs upgrades/maintenance. Be prepared to do a lot of your own work. Overall, friendly staff and affordable price, but ...
they need more experience.
Casa de lago was very accomadating for what I wanted to do for my wedding reception. It's a nice venue that doesn't need a lot of decorations. Karla was very helpful and they allow...
ed me to bring in an outside caterer.
