the most unorganized, unprofessional, and outrageous management ever. I was transferred to 3 different “venue coordinators”. First I was in contact with the owners son’s wife Ashley. Ashleys husband is Jacob Duetsch. Jacob’s father is the owner of the property. After Ashley was unavailable to be in charge, I was told that “Greg” was going to be the point of contact. Greg didn’t answer my calls for months. After finally getting a hold of Greg, he proceeded to tell me that me and my wedding date were forgotten and he didn’t know about it. Greg then disappeared and I was put in contact with Jon. Jonathan Kupper is the worst “venue coordinator” I have ever met in my life. He is not qualified for this job. I think that Jacob needed someone to “run” this property and they picked their friend Jon. I, like many others, was scammed out of my security deposit. They didn’t provide me any actual evidence or receipts. I was ghosted and have not received a single penny back from my deposit. Everything they argued to me was never in the contract. On the day of my wedding the owner was in the living room next to my bridal suite just casually watching TV. So unprofessional and inappropriate. I felt I had no privacy. The property was also trashed when we arrived in the morning. My bridesmaids had to handpick trash and glass off of the turf all morning. The owner, Jacob, and Jon also decided to leave every single door in the entire house unlocked during my wedding. They didn’t place any stanchions at all. They also hired security guards and never informed us they were doing so nor was it included in the contract. They also kicked out one of my bridesmaids and her family from my wedding for going in a row boat in the lake. No where in the contract did it say the lake was off limits. There were no signs. It actually specifically stated that the lake was a part of my allowed areas. Ridiculous. They are a complete joke. Stay far away from this property and this family. I think the family told Jon that he could pocket whatever he could get out of our security deposits. I plan on seeing this “venue” be brought down.

the place, was a complete jerk. When asked prior to the wedding regarding any rules and or any part of the grounds that were off limits to guests he stated that there were no rules and every event tends to run a little differently. Part of the ambiance of the property was the gorgeous lake on site. On this lake was a quaint little dock and rowboat, which during the reception my wife and I took for a quiet row. We immediately got hailed by security (thugs really) and were asked to return to the dock. No big deal, you would think. There were no signs or anything to indicate this was not allowed. Once we returned to the dock, we were instructed we had to leave the venue. I was floored. We had driven a long way and booked a very expensive hotel and the bride and groom were wonderful friends of ours. My wife and I, are not young hooligans and I am a very experienced boater (I've paddle solo from Catalina to Newport Beach) and to not be allowed to go back to the reception was absolutely ridiculous. The owner or manager never came down and all instructions were given by the security thugs. The last thing we wanted to do was create a scene for the bride and groom so we bowed out gracefully and left. This was a first class wedding. We spent a lot of money not only getting up to LA, but also for our hotel, shuttles, new clothes, etc.. but more then that, we missed out on a very special evening with dear friends. We could have been asked to not use the boat again and we would have returned to our seats and enjoyed the rest of the night. It would have been that easy, but instead, the owner/manager, for whatever strange reason, had something to prove. It was an ugly experience that did not have to happen. Head shaker all the way. I would never recommend this venue to anyone.
