Casablanca: A Right Start Venue is a wedding venue located in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The historic building was once a meatpacking factory, and the new renovations pay homage to its history with an elegant industrial-chic design. The owner has more than ten years of experience as a wedding photographer and opened this event space to make use of their knowledge and expertise. The intimate size of the venue allows them to fully personalize every couples’ experience and provide each with excellent customer service. This friendly and cheerful team values family above all else and is excited to welcome couples and their families, chosen and otherwise, into the space.
Facilities and Capacity
Casablanca: A Right Start Venue combines beautiful Moroccan accents with the airy and industrial atmosphere of the space. Accommodating up to 70 people, this venue is best for couples who desire a small wedding. The blank canvas design allows couples to customize the colors and decorations of the big day so that each wedding is unique. The ceremony and reception space is filled with natural light from its many windows and is peppered with exposed beams. White brick walls and a stripped bulb chandelier add to this retro and romantic ambiance. Care has been given to every touch, from the reclaimed wood tables to the curated dishware and cutlery, providing for a charming and personalized feel.
Services Offered
A number of packages are available for couples to choose between, from a quick ceremony to a full sit-down dinner. The Ceremony Package comes with a 90 minute rental of the facility, a basic backdrop and chairs, a champagne toast, and more. This package is best for couples who want a simple ceremony without frills and accommodates up to 25 people. The team is happy to recommend local restaurants where the wedding party can dine out afterward. For those who’d like more time to celebrate, the Simple Package includes three hours, a bartender, and cold appetizers.
The Buffet Dinner combines all of these services, plus stationed appetizers and a great selection of buffet dinner options. Great for those foodies out there looking for a non-stops to delicious town. Our Sit-Down Dinner options includes four hours of event time, a separate cocktail hour with passed hot appetizers, and a fully catered two course plated dinner. The food is provided by an upscale restaurant that uses fresh and local ingredients and fully tailors meals to clients’ tastes. Whichever package couples choose, they will find Casablanca's owners there every step of the way to help with planning, day-of coordination, and any last-minute questions. Creating bespoke weddings is this team’s priority, and they are delighted to help make each couple’s dream a reality.

Our reception setting was beautiful! The combination of warm lighting, vintage decor, and elegant details gave the evening such a cozy yet sophisticated feel. It truly captured that “city romance” vibe we were hoping for. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the atmosphere and vibe.
The venue owner Matt, went above and beyond to make our day amazing. Throughout the entire planning process Matt, was professional, kind, responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in making our day special. From our very first visit, it was clear how passionate and hands-on he is about the venue. A huge thank you to the venue coordinator. She was warm, thoughtful, and ensured everything ran smoothly and that we didn’t want or need anything. If you are looking for a venue that’s rich in history, beauty, character and heart, Casablanca in Coatesville is a gem.

our budget. The most important thing for me was to find a place that I liked but that I didn't have to worry about absolutely anything. Casa Blanca exceeded all my expectations, there was literally nothing to worry about. My husband and I had separated the place without even seeing it in person, just by seeing it on the internet we knew it was the place where we were going to get married and that's exactly how it was. The owner Matt and also organizer of my wedding was very professional and attentive to every request, his work team was also very professional, affectionate and made me feel like the most beautiful bride! I would recommend this place with my eyes closed. My wedding was more than I dreamed of! The place is small, beautiful, cozy PERFECT For a beautiful micro wedding and full of many emotions. oved that we were able to bring in our own catering because we wanted to use Couch Tomato in West Chester. The day of team was great and everything ran smoothly and the place looked beautiful.
My only notes would be that I wish there was a detailed pdf document they would provide with all of the choices you need to make. We met with Matt, the owner, about 2 months before our wedding to make decisions, but I wish I had known fully what was available to me ahead of this meeting. I provided some serving dishes for our cocktail hour, but the day before found out they had some stuff we could have used. It just would have been nice leading up to the wedding to be able to slowly buy stuff, or not buy stuff, knowing what the venue already had that we could use or not. Even like, here are the silverware options, the color table cloth options. Just to be able to see and visualize that before the 2 month mark would have been nice.
The other thing was our wedding was in August, and even though the weather was quite nice for August (low 80s), it was still pretty warm in the building. Specifically the hallway area where people are hanging out during cocktail hour. We had guests taking the elevator down to step outside and get fresh air because it felt better outside than it did inside. The venue space itself is better, but once the dancing started, it warmed up a lot. So if you’re planning a summer wedding, just think about that!
Overall, it was a great venue for what we wanted. Small guest count, option to bring in your own caterer, a decent amount of stuff already included (decor, cake, credit for florist, champagne toast).

If I had to do it all over, I would pick Casablanca again for our special day! I had 45 guest comfortably, the industrial rustic look was loved by everyone, and Matt of course knows his own venue inside and out for the perfect pictures. We planned our event remotely from another state, which is a tricky thing to do, but Matt was flexible and ready to coordinate from afar. He was always responsive and understanding. The pricing is fantastic considering the space itself is beautiful AND you are receiving support from him and his staff the day of. I had a very specific style and DIY decor elements for the tables, but Matt's assistants honed in on this right away. married couples remember fondly just because it’s kind of a societal expectation? Well, Casablanca is the real deal! It’s an intimate venue with gorgeous, exposed brick tucked away outside of Philly. My wedding night there was the most perfect event - people still rave about it nearly 3 months later.
I wouldn’t have changed *anything* about the most perfect night of our lives. The Casablanca team is friendly, punctual, and professional. Leading up to the event, they were communicative and helpful. Leading up to the big day, they issued reminders and remained flexible in the midst of changes. During the big event, I had a stress-free, magical night. They ensured that I was well fed and kept drinks in my hands. Dinner was delicious, and the cake turned out exactly the way we imagined it. The table settings were just flawless. After the event, they sent the most beautiful photos of our night, and it was truly special to review them with friends and family during a follow up event (which is something I wouldn’t have thought of had Casablanca not suggested it to me). I wanted the feeling that I had when I was in their care to last forever. I cannot recommend this place enough. As I am typing this, I am reliving that day, and I am truly fortunate to have had a team that sweat the small stuff so that my day would be absolutely perfect.

They were friendly, incredibly responsive, and helped to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. My husband and I decided early on in our wedding planning that we wanted a smaller, less traditional wedding and Casablanca was able to execute our vision perfectly. Many of our guests told us that Casablanca was the prettiest wedding venue they've ever seen and that our wedding was the most fun wedding they've ever been to. Having a small wedding (40 guests) was the best choice we could have made. We spent more time enjoying the day/night and less time catching up with people. I also highly recommend using Casablanca's recommended vendors - Doe Run Catering, Silver Sound DJ's (John Cicala), and The Stem's End were all amazing to work with and also played a huge factor in helping make our day perfect. I really can't recommend Casablanca enough - they helped us make memories that will last a lifetime.
