Wonderfully helpful and willing to work with our unique taste of music. Many of our guests said how wonderful he was. Cascade Dreams was professional and fun, like being flexible with timing and on the spot changes. The photo booth is also a must add-on item! Highly recommend :)
We had DJ Dom handle music at our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). We were extremely happy with the entire experience.
He is extremely professional and skilled. He clearly has great technical knowledge for setup and sound, but also has great personal skills/situational awareness. He works well with vendors, and choose tactful moments to ask for additional direction, if needed.
For the ceremony, he followed what we wanted exactly while also autonomously communicating with our officiant and day-of coordinator to execute our vision. We didn't really have to talk to him at all except to point him to the day-of coordinator. He took care of ceremony setup, cocktail hour setup, and reception setup all on his own.
For cocktail hour and during dinner, we didn't have time to really curate a playlist or examples for him. We just gave a general description of the type of vibe we wanted. His choices ended up being perfect for the vibes during those time periods! He announced/coordinated our grand entrance perfectly.
For dances, he took in a last minute adjustment and smoothly handled a potential disaster (first dance song was only on youtube, but was taken down right before the reception...nightmare) as well as he could. He played some interlude music, came to us to ask what we would want to do, and we found a solution together.
For the dance floor, we also were so busy that we had only thrown a few songs we wanted in order to give examples of the vibes we wanted. The genres were actually a little bit all over the place. But this part of the night was where maybe the best value of a DJ came in for us because we were a bit worried about whether the dance floor would be fun for everyone. We had around 60 guests and a good chunk of them were older and not likely to stay on the dance floor. He basically executed everything perfectly. He instantly read the vibes of the floor from the first couple songs, and adjusted accordingly to get everyone hyped. After that, the dance floor was pretty much never empty until the end of the night. He even took requests seamlessly. The lighting also contributed to the great environment.
That's a lot of words to say that based on our experience, I think you can trust your big day to Dom. Had I known he'd make things this easy, I might not have been so stressed before the wedding! So glad we hired him.
