Cassia and her team did both our engagement photos and wedding photos for our wedding on 3-24-18. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. Cassia's professionalism, caring, and dedication to detail and emotion really stood out in our photos. We are in love with our entire portfolio, but the people behind the camera lens are just as amazing. This is a long overdue review from my wedding on December 3, 2017 in Orange County, CA. Her website photos were breathtaking, and she was very patient in answering many questions from me, facetiming with me and my now-husband, driving down to OC to meet with me and my husband, taking phone calls, and exchanging numerous emails. On the wedding day, she was like my MOH, making sure I was hydrated, bustling my bustle, holding my veil and jacket, finding my jewelery. We were an hour and 15 min behind because of my makeup and hair, but Cassia and Tommy were so fast that we eventually caught up with the wedding schedule. Cassia is always happy, enthusiastic, cheery, and positive, while I am pessimistic and don't like weddings. You and every wedding needs someone like her. She is passionate about her work and takes amazingly elegant and breathtaking photos. Her photos were what made me feel better about my wedding because in my head, there were things that went wrong or could have been better, and I am a perfectionist. Her photos made the hours of hair and makeup worth it. She captured candid moments when you think no one was looking and photos that are cherished keepsakes for those who have passed but got to share our day with us. Cassia is a wedding photographer you would be lucky to have as part of your big day. These photos are reminders you will keep in your mind and hearts forever. Thank you Cassia!

All I can say is wow! Cassia and pepper were amazing at our June wedding! I have heard so many amazing things about her from all the guests! Jon and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Cassia for our September 2017 wedding. We first hired Cassia to only shoot our engagement photos since we were getting married cross-country. Business side: she was amazing and very professional. Her level of communication kept us not only informed, but also empowered us to remain relaxed through the entire process. Personal Side: we now have a great friend who is a Photographer. This alone made it easy for us to be comfortable during our pictures and while taking instructions on how we needed to pose or how we needed to 'not pose'. (LOL) We were very lucky to have options by using this site. But overall we got a friend out of it.

If you are planning a wedding in California, you HAVE to hire Cassia! She is amazing at what she does, every photo comes out beautiful, and she knows the best positions for everything. Although you always feel awkward taking photos, she made us feel so comfortable and the photos of us looked effortless. I can not speak any better about Cassia. She is so kind as well, and everything she does you know her heart is behind it. We really could not have found a better photographer out there and are so happy with our decision.

We absolutely LOVED our wedding photos by Cassia! When we received our wedding photos, we were shocked to see how many intimate moments she was able to capture without us even knowing she was there. She did an excellent job of telling our wedding story. Cassia is also very pleasant to be around, my husband and I never felt stressed out by her presence, which was a concern of ours when picking a photographer. She is very "go with the flow" while also being very organized, which is important on your wedding day. We would recommend Cassia without hesitation, you won't be disappointed!

Cassia is the best of the best! She is super easy to work with, thoughtful, considerate to her clients, and focused on the task at hand. Cassia took photos of our wedding and we were extremely pleased. She put thought in each detail and made sure that there was enough variety in all of her (1500+!!) images that we would find plenty of pictures that we liked. Cassia is so very good at what she does! She made everyone feel at ease, captured all our special moments and gave VERY good directions. A shy groom? Not a problem at al! In fact, the portait photos she took of the groom are the best photos I have ever seen of him. What made it even more personal and special was that she even sent me some sneak peek highlights that very night of the wedding so those were the VERY FIRST photos my groom and I saw of the wedding and each other. In short, if you’re looking for someone to take pictures of your event, Cassia can do that. However, if you are looking for someone to completely encapsulate the essence of the day, the emotions of your family and friends, and that look of absolute adoration between you and your future spouse; then Cassia is definitely the photographer for you. And that is just speaking of her photography. No, not just photography, but the art she captures from your magical day. Since before I had even met her, she was and is the easiest person to work with. From the first email to the most recent, every interaction has made me feel like she is excited to talk to me and work with us. She answered every email and text in a timely manner. She made the process so easy while trying to figure out our wants and needs, and what my family wanted on top of that. My family only has the most wonderful things to say about Cassia. Cassia was incredibly organized all the way up to and including the wedding, a fact which is amazing in its own. When you’re about two weeks away, and everything is going haywire, her confident and easy going attitude and prepared schedule is such a relief. On the day of the event, Cassia is a ninja with a camera. You’ll ask yourself, when did she even take this? I think one of my favorite moments of the night was watching her gracefully set down her ice cream then come running across the venue and jumping over shrubs just to capture a one-time moment. It's hard for me to put in to words how much of an impact Cassia made on my wedding! I didn't realize in the beginning, but it started with a sweet gift she sent us when we made the quick decision to book her as the photographer. I could not have asked for anything more from Cassia! She was absolutely the best! The moment she walked into the room she felt like an old friend who was just as excited or even more than everyone else around me. With grace, patience and just wanting to do everything possible to make the day that much more perfect. Cassia amazingly brought the memories of our wedding day to life in each shot that she captured so well. Looking at these photos, she literally made everyone look exceptional and flawless. It doesn't take the right person being photographed to create a good picture, it takes a good photographer and his or her skills. Cassia HAS SKILLS. She made the whole day fun with no stress whatsoever. Her sneaky, creative ways in capturing so many cherished moments, followed by the care and personal touch in editing and creating the photo video, and producing the final pictures are awe-inspiring. Laughter, excitement, and tears of joy were had while reminiscing and enjoying all of the photos of our most special day. Cassia allowed these beautiful memories to last forever and to be shared over and over again.

Cassia and Fro were wonderful! She captured our day so beautifully. Her attention to detail is incredible. From day one she was so sweet and always kept in communication with me. Cassia of Lux Aeterna is so lovely and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her services! Customer service: Cassia did everything I asked WITH a smile. I went bridezilla and bossed her around several times during our reception "hurry take a picture of THAT!" And she just smiled and got the shot. She offered to meet w us in person before the day of and we couldn't find time so she offered video chat to get to know us and talk details! Quality: her portfolio speaks for itself! She has great talent at taking soft and romantic photos. Overall Value: compared to other photographers of her caliber she was the most reasonable we could find for our budget. Contract was straightforward with no "set hourly package." We got footage of the ENTIRE event. She was there from the beginning until the last guests were trickling out. Above and Beyond: she ended up driving me and my husband around from place to place day of our wedding bc last minute our family didn't have room in their car, and we would have been stranded or have to take uber LOL. She even sent us a very sweet and special wedding card a few weeks before our wedding. Of course everyone wants beautiful pictures of their wedding, but our day was EVEN MORE special because she felt like part of the family. Cassia is a wonderful photographer but her personality, flexibility, and eagerness to keep us happy is what makes her standout among the sea of professionals. My husband and I STRONGLY recommend her. My husband and I were married almost two months ago, and we still can't help but share with each other again and again that Cassia her team were the best wedding-related decision that we made! Her photos are absolutely stunning. Not only are they artistically crafted, but they do an impressive job of capturing the emotions and essence of the moment. My husband and I got married in Yosemite and I couldn't imagine anyone else taking our wedding pictures. We met with Cassia for a consultation and immediately knew we wanted her to be our photographer. We were impressed with her experience in Yosemite, outdoor shooting, her knack for capturing moments and her personality. We took the engagement photos which turned out amazing and better that either of us expected. She coached us and helped us to feel extremely comfortable in front of her camera despite being camera shy people. This was a nice addition and was included in our package. We got a better idea of the type of pictures we liked and it helped the awkwardness wear off. We also used those in a guestbook. When it came to our wedding Cassia and her husband Tommy went above and beyond the call of duty. Cassia did an excellent job of calming our nerves and making us laugh. The day flew by and was the best day of my life. I feel like this was really reflected in the pictures. We wanted the photographs to capture the memories and feelings of the day. We got the posed shots (which I feel like don't look posed and are gorgeous!) and tons of memories and moments captured. Looking through our pictures really allows me to relive the day. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. We also asked our family and friends not to take pictures during the ceremony-- they were somewhat anxious about not having their own pictures but after seeing Cassia's pictures they were so happy and I was happy no cameras were in her shots :) I can not recommend Cassia highly enough. She is passionate, professional, and I can't believe how blessed I am to have her as my wedding photographer! I wish we weren't moving away so she could take our baby pictures.

I must start by saying that I've never done a review, mainly because I never really actually read reviews myself. Well not atleast until 3 months ago when we decided to get married after 9 years. I started looking at reviews for every single thing I looked into. It was then that I notice how important reviews are. So here is my review for Lux Aeterna Photography! I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first because I didn't know how reliable the website I found this photographer on was. So I emailed her and she immediately contacted me. The day Cassia phoned me, I was at my daughters gymnastics practice so I was having a hard time understanding her. So I figured the same was on her end. The conversation was short and I told her I'd contact her after class. She asked for my email and said she would sent over her rates. At the very end of her email she wrote to me "keep your eyes on that tumbling girl of yours" and I was astonished at how much she had paid attention to my details that had nothing to do with my wedding. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of an amazing experience with this sweet photographer. She contacted me more than once after that phone call. I was still looking at other photographers but she not once forgot about me. Eventually 2 weeks before my wedding day she called me once again(on her anniversary vacation may I add) and at that moment I said this is the one! I didn't get to meet her until my actual wedding day being that it was in only 2 short weeks I had tons to do so I didn't meet her until the day! She was great that day. She arrived at my house to get pictures of me getting ready and let me say I thought it was only me but she captured beautiful pictures of my two daughters putting their dresses on. I loved that she included everyone that was at my house that morning. When I got a glimpse of some of the pictures she captured that night, I was in tears she captured the most beautiful images. Cassia is by far the best!!!!

We had out engagement photos done two weeks ago. This was our first professional photo shoot and neither of us knew what to expect. Cassia was amazing. She gave us so much information to ease our minds and helped us be able to go to both locations we wanted too. The actual shoot was very intimate and easy. She was so great to work with. I never thought I was very photogenic but the photos were amazing. She kept us laughing and relaxed. The best part was that all of our family and friends said you could see how much we love each other in the photos. She captured everything we wanted. I could not have asked for a better experience.

As I told Cassia, my face hurt from smiling as much and as hard as I did looking at the wonderful way she capture our wedding day! Cassia is not only an exceptional photographer, but a wonderful person. Her presence at our wedding was genuine, creative and fun. She is incredibly professional in all aspects of her job from timeliness (day of and delivery of final product), consultation of services and interactions with anyone and everyone at the wedding. As for the photography itself, they pictures turned out phenomenally. Her creative and artistic eye capture every photo I wanted, and every photo I didn't know I wanted :) The lighting, framing and quality all went above and beyond my expectations. My only regret is that I didn't find her and her work sooner!

When I got engaged, I was on the hunt for the perfect photographer. I wanted to find a photographer that would capture the details of our day and I wanted to have photos that we could cherish for a lifetime. After searching many websites and seeing lots of photos that were just “ok”, I came across Lux Aeterna. When I stumbled upon Cassia’s website and blog, I just knew she was the photographer I HAD to have! Her photographs capture details AND emotions, exactly what I was looking for. Then much to my surprise, I found out that her prices were reasonable too! My husband and I got married on 3/21/15. Cassia was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She was willing to travel to our destination without even charging us an extra travel fee. She traveled on two separate occasions (3-4 hours each way) with no extra fee, once for our engagement photos and second to our wedding. Taking the time to do our engagement photos at Cassia’s request (which I might add were at no extra charge), gave us the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and with Cassia as our photographer. It also gave us all, the opportunity to figure out what the best kinds of shots would be for our wedding day. I got to know Cassia going through the process and can’t help but feel like she takes a personal interest in us as a couple and family. Cassia as a person is genuine and easy going. Cassia as a photographer is a stealth ninja! She takes charge when she needs to and she can be in five different locations at once to get the perfect angles and shots for her photographs. During our wedding I had no idea where she was, but after seeing our pictures, I can’t believe how many locations she seemed to be in, all at once. While getting ready and at the reception, I felt like I had an extra bridesmaid who would help me with whatever I needed, like fixing the snaps on my dress that kept popping open. Having her there on our wedding day was such a pleasure. We are so happy with all of our wedding and engagement photos, and friends and family raved about them too. Cassia was also willing to make her photo packages work so we could get exactly what we wanted as far as picture orders. I would highly recommend Cassia to friends and family! Now we have wedding photos that we can cherish for a lifetime!

Cassia did a great job of photographing my wedding! She had many great ideas for the photographs and she got the exact views I wanted. She was professional, efficient, unobtrusive, and kind. Many of my guests commented favorably about her. It was so worthwhile to have so many wonderful photographs of our wedding!

Cassia did a beautiful job photographing our wedding in 2009. I'm late in writing a review only because I recommended her to a close friend recently and realized that I never did give Cassia props online at theknot.com. Cassia and her assistant spent the day with us from morning til night at our wedding. We have so many fond memories being able to look back at our gorgeous photos. We have had so many compliments on the quality and beauty of our pictures over the last four years! I certainly would recommend Cassia!

When we got engaged, the search for a photographer intimidated me. I had no idea where to begin; we didn’t have a large budget to spend, but it was important to both of us that we have photos that captured the feelings and events of the day to hang onto. When I found Cassia’s portfolio online, I loved what I saw. Her journalistic style retold the story and captured all the emotions of a couple’s wedding day. We contacted Cassia and she sent us her pricing, which is very reasonable considering the quality of photography she’s delivering. From the beginning, Cassia showed care for us as individuals and a couple; she found out what was most important to us and delivered on it. She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. She is present, involved in the action so that she can photograph it, but she isn’t intrusive, which allowed us to feel at ease. At the same time, she’s vocal enough to get the job done. My husband is from a VERY large family (there are about 60 people in the extended family) and she managed to get them corralled for a group photo in just a few minutes, which is quite a feat. Cassia maintains the perfect combination of professionalism and fun. We were so, so pleased with all of our photos. Cassia has a knack for using natural light and landscape to her advantage. We took our photos at the Maravilla Gardens in the early afternoon; the owners, who are personal friends, were concerned about the lighting at that time of day. After seeing our photos, it seems that Cassia’s eye helps her work through any obstacle: she found every workable spot and took amazing photos. Our families were also impressed with her. Everyone she interacted with at our wedding has only said good things. We are incredibly thankful to have had Cassia with us, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer who will render beautiful photos.

Cassia was the photographer for our wedding and did a fantastic job. On the day of the wedding, she was very in control, calm and creative and took all of the photos that I requested plus many more. She was reasonable and worked with me and accommodated my requests as far as . I love how our wedding photos turned out and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for quality photos from their wedding.

When my husband and I were dating and looking for a wedding photographer, he already knew Cassia. He recommended that I check out her work. I did and was impressed. We met with her and she was very professional and friendly. She clearly explained the contract and was up front about the different packages she offered. We decided to take our engagement pictures in Pasadena. She came prepared with an assistant and we came with a few outfits and a group of balloons. It was so much fun, she had a plan and was definitely telling a story with our pictures! For our wedding, we were married in Redlands and I had discussed with Cassia where exactly we should take bridal party pictures. We decided to take them at the University of Redlands. I was so thankful that she was prepared with having scouted locations already and had a plan of where to shoot the pictures because the campus is so large. I was so impressed with her professionalism and her talent. She has an eye and it just made my special day so much better! I was definitely pleased with her work, I have recommended other people to her work and will continue to refer brides-to-be to her!

For me, the photography was one of the most important items as the pictures are one of the few items that will last past the wedding day. Also, it was important to me to find a photographer that is able to get good shots in the moment, as you can't redo the wedding day events because they didn't get a good shot. I looked at different websites of photographers I was considering. I really liked Cassia's style; it was very natural, even the group shots. She had a great eye for some amazing candid pictures. I thought the price was a good value, and everyone who has ever seen my wedding pictures say that they are great pictures. My husband and I are not models; Cassia helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and made me look awesome. She delivered everything and I was very pleased with the whole process.

And my wife is very, VERY happy with the work that Lux Aeterna did for our wedding! We have been married 2 years now and my wife still looks at the amazing Italian leather-bound album that Cassia styled for us at least once a week. Cassia blends the perfect amount of professionalism, talent, and fun-loving personality that is a MUST in a wedding photographer. I was a groomsman in over 15 weddings before my own, including 2 that were shot by Cassia. I learned quickly that if your photographer is too bossy, serious or cheesy then you are going be very annoyed by the whole experience (no matter how "blissful" you think that day is going to be). That is exactly why we chose Lux Aeterna; because the photos are stunning and because Cassia has the perfect personality. She's strong enough to politely get family members moving through the staged shots (a must for efficiency!) and yet stealthy enough to get killer pics without you even knowing she was right behind you the whole time. She captured dozens of moments that I never even knew happened at the wedding...and I'm so thankful she did. Lux Aeterna was the right choice, and money well spent!

We had Lux Aeterna Photography for our wedding on the Oregon Coast, and we could not be happier with their work. Cassia was professional yet easygoing, and had a wonderful balance between getting the job done while not being a typical "pushy" photographer. The day of our wedding, she took my husband and I to several perfect, out-of-the-way locations that highlighted the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest which she had scouted out the day before for a private photo shoot.
