took my college graduation photos at Purdue in 2020. During that session, she took a few pictures of me and my then-boyfriend, and I told her how much I loved working with her. She looked at me and said, “Call me when you get engaged!” That moment stuck with me, and when the time came, I was so excited to reach out to her again. Having her capture both our engagement and wedding in Chicago felt so special, and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else behind the camera.
From the very start of wedding planning to the big day itself, Cassie made everything feel effortless. She was so easygoing, flexible, and calming—exactly what every bride needs! She helped us with poses in a way that felt natural and comfortable, which made such a difference. And when we got our final wedding photos, we were absolutely blown away. We also needed someone who would be able to understand our quirky and fun loving personalities. Finding a photographer was difficult. Trusting Cassie was easy.

On our wedding day Cassie was more than a photographer, she felt like a piece of the puzzle. She seemed eager to help and make the day perfect. She was understanding to our "fly by the seat of your pants" wedding day style, but reminded us when it was time for planned photos we asked for. ome fantastic bridesmaids and bridesmen, but Cassie was my biggest hype-woman on my big day. We had a *super* right time-line, and Cassie (with her amazing skills) got us ahead of schedule without compromising the quality and elegance of every shot. My husband complained that I was on my phone too much the day after the wedding because I could NOT stop staring at the sneak peak shots.
I knew the photos would be amazing because Cassie was going to be taking them (she also did our engagement pictures), but she surpassed all of my highest expectations (and I don’t even have my full gallery yet!!!).

There is one particular moment during our wedding portraits, I will always remember. It was raining the morning of our wedding and I was nervous the rain was not going to hold off for the wedding portraits after the ceremony. Without missing a beat, Cassie got on the phone a couple days before and found a rain location which ended up being the majority of our wedding photos! Right at the end, the sun came out and after a few squeals from the both of us, she got one of the best photos of the day!

What I particularly liked about Cassie was that she kept morale up the entire time she was working. She told everyone they looked great and would get them to smile, even the groomsmen who were pretty over the picture taking thing at one point and just wanted to get a beer.
I can't wait for more life events that need a photographer, just so I can hire her again.
