My name is Cassie and I am a hybrid film + digital photographer, completely fascinated by the human story and the parts of it that we all share. My aim is to tell the story of your love and laughter through images that are timeless and intentional. I believe in storytelling through details, emotional portraits, and finding those quiet moments in the midst of celebration. I love capturing real moments that help my couples remember how they felt on their wedding day, through the lens of my own airy and dreamy style.

ning to the specific vision to the weekend of photography to the post-wedding communications, Cassie was fantastic.
When we first contacted her, we had already done our engagement photos, and since we bought the full package, she suggested using the 2 hours of engagement photography on our wedding weekend welcome party instead (which ended up being amazing). She's super reasonable and communicates clearly with kindness. Ahead of the wedding, if we had questions or thoughts, we could easily reach her over email, call, or text.
When we finally met Cassie in person for our wedding weekend, she was even more perfect of a photographer than we could have imagined. She has such a great vision for how to bring out the best of our love, and also flexible when we had our own ideas. She captured so many lively, magical, ephemeral moments with beautiful film photography. The other members of her team were also so friendly, professional, and warm. They honestly all meshed so well with our guests and added to the wedding love vibes.

Cassie brought incredible energy to every event, and she somehow managed to match the vibe or theme perfectly with her attire too! Despite her enthusiasm, she also had a really calming presence, which was such a gift on a whirlwind weekend.
Her photos were exceptional: beautifully composed, full of emotion, and so thoughtfully captured. But just as important, she and her team were genuinely lovely to be around. Cassie made us feel completely at ease during portraits, guiding us through poses in a way that felt natural, never forced or awkward. That same calm, confident energy extended to her whole team, and it made a huge difference.
Cassie and her team managed to be everywhere without ever being intrusive. They blended seamlessly into the background, yet somehow captured every meaningful moment. Receiving our photos was a true highlight - getting to relive so many special memories (and even witness moments we missed!) was priceless.
When booking a photographer, we hadn’t initially thought much about the importance of second or third shooters, but everyone Cassie brought on board was incredible. Friendly, professional, and talented. Many of our guests even commented on how wonderful they all were.

As awkward people anxious about taking photos, we were so relieved how Cassie made us feel comfortable from the beginning of our engagement session. She was able to somehow fade into the background, while also guiding us and capturing genuine moments. We loved that photo session so much that we ended up hiring her for our welcome dinner as well!
Cassie was so easy to work with leading up to the wedding, making sure to get a list of our important shots ahead of the wedding while working closely with our planner to make sure there was a clear schedule. This meant that we could be as present as possible on our wedding day.
On the big day, Cassie honestly felt more like a part of the wedding rather than simply a vendor. She knew how to make everyone comfortable, made sure the bridesmaids and groomsmen were having fun, and made the day feel natural for us. We got all of the wedding photos we wanted, and managed to even be AHEAD of schedule so we got to spend more time at our cocktail hour!!!
Cassie’s photos capture the full range of emotions on the wedding day, because she’s able to connect deeply with her couples and understand what is important to them. Her style was something we gravitated to as we wanted a photographer who would not simply chronicle our event, but also capture the small details and emotions that we might miss during the day.
For both the engagement shoot and our wedding weekend, Cassie promptly delivered sneak peek highlights within a couple of days, and the full album within her initial estimate (8 weeks). She managed to capture the full essence of the day. Everytime we look at those photos, they bring us right back to those moments and feelings. Her turnaround time for the sneak peeks was incredibly fast, and she’s also been responsive throughout the entire planning process and post-wedding. We had multiple guests come up to us to ask about her background, and I think that speaks not only to her creative vision but also to her execution on logistics. I was drawn in by her ability to find poetry in the small moments and her talent at capturing golden hour as you’ll quickly see if you explore her portfolio. After booking her, there was just a huge wave of relief because we knew we were in really good hands and didn’t have to worry about anything. That proved to be true on our wedding day. In addition to being the primary photographer, she managed 2-3 other photographers beautifully, and it was so seamless and stress-free. I’ll caveat that her rates are on the more premium side, but after doing extensive research, I was certain she was in the top 1% of lifestyle photographers, and if there’s any wedding advice I’ve received multiple times, it’s to not skimp on your photography! Your investment is well worth it. Couldn’t recommend her more!

After talking over the phone with her, we decided to have her photograph our engagement pictures as well! Both of us were nervous going into the photoshoot never having posed for professional pictures before, but she so quickly put us at ease. We had an ambitious plan to have pictures taken at several places that were meaningful to us and Cassie made it work and gave us a realistic timeline. The pictures were beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for...one of our favorite pictures is a candid picture of us laughing when my husband misheard Cassie's direction to lean to the side and instead stuck out his tongue. It was a quick fleeting moment, but she was ready to capture it thoughtfully and beautifully!
She photographed our intimate covid micro-wedding spring of 2021. Cassie did an amazing job of rallying our guests for formal pictures while also capturing the small candid moments that are easy to pass up but now we can look back at them again and again because she did such an amazing job!
Just this past month, we had a one year anniversary reception to have a larger celebration with our family and friends and we felt so lucky that Cassie was willing to be our photographer again. I arranged the engagement session with Cassie so that we can get to know each other before the wedding as we are not good at taking photos and making poses etc. It turns out great!! Cassie is super friendly and gave us lots of instructions on poses and angels. We got the sneak peak 1 hr after the photo shooting! Based on the engagement photos, we made some adjustment when taking photos like looking at cameras more naturally. Cassie is very professional and carrying several different cameras as well as films the whole times. My bridesmaid who works in media industry told me she is impressed by the speed of Cassie changing the film of camera. We got the sneak peak later on the wedding day. Our guests love their photos on our wedding too. We plan to have Cassie take our couple photos in summer every year. We have to skip this year due to COVID-19 unfortunately. She knows the best spots to shoot in (even some hidden gem in SF!). Cassie is also a very considerate vendor - she brought her car to wash right before our session just to make sure that we would have a nice place to transit and to change our outfits! Also, she is extremely professional in a way that every time we arrived a spot for shooting, she immediately told us where to stand and how to pose without wasting a single second. We booked Cassie for both our engagement and wedding photos. I was on the fence about the engagement photos and ultimately decided it was best for me and future-husband to get used to having our pictures taken - I was right. Cassie made us feel comfortable and also helped assure us that our natural selves (which tended to be laughing selves) really would be the best selves for photos. Phew! Another plus - she was totally down with having our pup join the session and was an absolute dog expert in getting him to pose for the camera!
Cassie goes above and beyond - she arrived early (at no extra cost!) at my wedding venue to capture extra shots and not feel rushed. We did an engagement shoot on location at our favorite place, Carmel, and she had such wonderful ideas to capture the feel of the little town in our photos. My husband and I were never pulled away from our reception for pictures (like we wanted) and the candid shots from the reception are incredible! After a perfect night of feeling like a celebrity rather than a prop for photos, Cassie sent us a preview of about 40 pictures the NEXT morning!!! That alone was enough for a 5 star review, let alone how BEAUTIFUL every single picture is!
