. Domenico was very professional and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. He gave very clear directions and explained that it was my shoot and we will only do what I was comfortable with. He was very funny and easy to work with. He took the time to ask if there were any special poses I wanted to make sure we did. For a couple hours the Castaldo team made me forget that I had a pile of laundry and house cleaning to do when I got home and made me feel like a super model!

on 11/5/16, Saturday, leave a voice mail & send an email asking for a response either way- by 10:00am Monday, I received a call related to my inquiry! I was able to get my family's pictures taken that day! I only had 4 days to spend with my family, and this was the first time in years, we were all in the same room together. Castaldo Studio went above and beyond meeting my needs- I just dropped off my two oldest siblings today at the airport to head back to New York- and I miss them terribly- thanks to Castaldo Studio, I now have memories that will last me forever. aven't received our wedding album or raw footage. We were so surprised to see they released our DVD on their site without a follow up or consult post wedding. We were told we could pick music etc. I was even more surprised at after initially waiting 8 months for it, it just seem to be of poor sound quality. We were told that the video would be Hollywood quality and it's really IMovie sound quality. In their defense, never have children at your wedding. My granddaughter made so much noise and was in everything they tried to do. But we were dealing with professional. My mother was with me in the parlor the entire time while I was getting dressed and I do not have one photo of her. She was even there before I got there all dressed up. I was so excited I didn't think to ask them to shoot us or do this that or the third. This has left me with fawn memories as well as heart broken. I only have one picture of me and my mother and it was taken when Castaldo was leaving so I look reception tired. I have no pictures of me and my in-laws and none of my God-Parents, who have since died. I appreciate the extra things they did for me like free picture because the failed to do key shots, visiting the venue at rehearsal to search for perfect lighting. My God, since I complained a week after the wedding I have heard every excuse in the book. We had Angels at the wedding I described in great detail how important their presence was to me and why they were there to represent my father who had passed. I do not have one picture of me with them. I specifically requested they do a photo shoot with them, I assume it was done while I was getting ready. Nope, not one posed pictured of them or me with them. Again I spoke about this issue they offered to reshoot us for a price. Sorry I have so many issues back to the video. So with Hollywood type editing, I'm thinking they would do a voice over with the salutations and music used at the wedding to compensate for the over active child. Now with all their professionalism I can't understand for the life of me if the baby is to blame for the noise pitch ups and downs why not tell the story with the still pictures and simply silence the sound and recreate the moments with the actual music used at the wedding. We did voice recordings and letter, I'm thinking duh just do it that way. Nope they told me a professional editing team pulled the best of the best and that's what they came up with and they do not just have brides sitting with the editor giving them direction. My thoughts are well then it is what it is. It's almost been two years so I went to Castaldo un-announced and was chastised by Domenico himself for giving them a bad review on their customer service not their work. He said its my fault I have not received my raw footage and that I took 2years to bring him a hard drive and he would take 2days to see if he still had footage. We haven't received our album either. So I'm guessing because of my first review that might be why we have no footage. He made it clear he probably didn't have it because our wedding was 11/2013. I see no difference they gave us the DVD June 2015. At this point I wish I had not banded our guest from taking pictures! :(

oke to someone, they didn't know and said they would call back which never happened. One day 8 months later it arrived in the mail! But, my excitement immediately went to sad disbelief. The photo journalistic album we had discussed with Domenico and been assured would be a certain way showed up with about 35-8x10's thrown into an album. The opening photo was an 8x10 of my wedding shoes...who wants an 8x10 of their weddings shoes? That was proceeded by several overstretched images of my bouquet, then wedding rings and then your typical weddings shots thrown into an album. It was just awful. I immediately called them which again was proven to be impossible to actually talk to someone. When I finally did I asked how this could have happened thinking it was some kind of mistake. I reminded them of what I was promised and they literally pretended they had no idea what I was talking about and that what I received couldn't possibly be anything but amazing. I figured when I got the whole lot of digital images on the CD I would create my own photo journalistic album. Now fast forward 3 months later which makes a year after our wedding and time for our digital CD to be released to us. They didn't just send it out, which did not surprise me according to the album incident we had. So, I had to call and ask for it to be sent. Much to my surprise they said they would not ship it to me. I had to physically come pick it up. At the time we lived 2 hours away from their office which was at their house. So, not a quick errand for me who was now 8 months pregnant. I offered to pay shipping, insurance, certified mail, sign a liability release, etc. But, they would not work with me AT ALL. So, I told them I would work on a trip down their way and pick it up when I could. Which they then told me I would need to notify them at least 2 weeks notice before I came. Being 8 months pregnant I decided to deal with this after I had my baby. About 4 months after my baby was born I remembered about the photo CD and called them to let them know I would come down on such and such day to get the CD. While on phone they tried to find my information and told me they had no recollection of who I was and that they had changed to a different system and that unfortunately all the photos were gone. I was stunned. I asked why they wouldn't notify their customers of this or why they wouldn't back up their photos and they said that they cannot possibly keep everyone's photos forever. Absolutely no apology from them at all. So that was it. It was gone. I asked to speak with Domenico and was called back by him a few hours later. He explained that I should have come and picked it up exactly one year later. It was my fault not his, etc. I told him it was very unprofessional and that this should not have happened. He freaked out and began yelling at me on the phone and absolutely lost it. He yelled that it was my fault as the bride that I did not come and get the CD in person and that its not his job to make sure I get the CD and that the CD is a friendly gesture that he does for clients. I was crying by the time he stopped and didn't say anything and then he just hung up the phone. Don't let this happen to you and find someone you can trust!

The entire experience was easy-going and I never felt uncomfortable once. My friend adjusted anything that needing moving or re-positioning actually on my body. The photographer (Domenico) was professional and we only did what I felt comfortable shooting. He knew exactly how to position and what lighting to use. The pictures are phenomenal and I can't wait to get my final edits. You can tell the whole team and especially Domenico love what they do.

He responds to emails nearly immediately and always answers questions thoroughly. Dom & Cecily are the best photographers you'll ever meet. They make you so comfortable (normally I hate having my picture taken) and they are so creative. My tip would be just to trust them. There were times I questioned ideas or poses they suggested and those photos ended up being my favorite! We got our photos back very quickly and they are truly perfect. The online gallery is easy to work with. Everyone is raving about our wedding photos and I couldn't be any happier with how they turned out!! I recommend them 100% and will be using them for any photography needs in the future.

The day of the wedding, everything that could go wrong did, including me (and my sister the MOH) becoming violently sick at 3:30 a.m. the morning of, the temperature dropping over 20 degrees unexpectedly making it freezing cold for our outside event, and of course our wedding bands getting lost in the mail leading up to the big day just topped things off. Not the details I had envisioned nor poured my heart into preparing. I am so grateful that Castaldo was there to capture the beauty and love of our event. It was so helpful that they have a customer service line that was open to me at anytime day or night (I am a pharmacist so I keep strange hours). If I had any questions at all I just had to pick up the phone and they were immediately answered. I was blown away at how quickly I received our photos (our contract told us to expect a 6-8 week turnaround, but we got ours in about 4 weeks). But to make things even better I was glued to my Facebook screen each morning to see if more of the gorgeous preview shots were posted online. Needless to say, I was blown away at the creativity and pure artistry that Castaldo gave us. Overall I would give them a 10 out of 10 if I was able to score them that high. I cannot express how happy I am that I chose this amazing studio to photograph the most important day of my life. It is apparent to me that they care about making your special day "picture perfect".
