Dominique and Javi are phenomenal. My husband and I hired them to shoot super8 for our wedding and it was the best money we spent at our wedding.

t but they put such special touches on our day that went above and beyond their duties as videographers. Dominique put together the most BEAUTIFUL flat lay with all our details, even bringing special pieces to use that went with our theme. It's a LITERAL work of art.
Day of the wedding they were early. Javi is so great at capturing the candid moments my husband forgot he was even in the room with him and the guys! He was so excited to see the moments he had no idea were captured when we watched our film.
For our film they made a special Spotify Playlist to go along with our video from songs we played at our wedding. It was awesome.
They were professional and fun day of. Delivery was FAST!!! Everyone LOVED watching our super8 and its so timeless and perfect. Plus the colors are DOPE.
I couldn't recommend these two humans more. The attention to detail, gorgeous finished product and phenomenal delivery times really just make them the best in the biz.
Dominique recently photographed and filmed a very special event for us which was our six-year vowels’ renewal in San Diego, CA. She made this day so unique and special for us. Th...
e amount of planning she invested with coordinating all the details with the venue vendor, finding an amazing florist like I have never met before and securing a wonderful make-up artist and incredibly talented hair stylist who made me feel as beautiful as the photos and Super 8 film she captured for us.
She gave 200% of herself to make this shoot perfect. She delivered so many wonderful photos for us and captured and edited a Super 8 video that brought tears to our eyes.
Dominique has a special gift for capturing those candid and priceless moments between human beings and she beautifully brought to life the chemistry my husband and I share. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work she did for us and the love she put into her work. Merci!
We can not say enough about Dominique and Javi and their work! Booking Castillo-Holliday Photo & Film was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. They are true a...
rtists and we feel so lucky to have found them to capture our day. After our discovery call I knew that Dominique would be the best choice out of everyone else we were talking to, because she had such a fun and engaging personality while also being professional. It was very important to me to find a photographer who would be comfortable directing the day (including coordinating with the vendors, keeping us on schedule, and directing our parents and wedding party) so that we wouldn’t have to worry about anything on the wedding day. We made the right choice!
They were extremely responsive to emails and were more than happy to meet with us to discuss anything that came up outside of our standard planning meetings. Dominique even traveled, on her own time, to visit our venue ahead of the wedding since she hadn’t photographed there before. Even though we booked a very popular & highly photographed wedding venue, she and Javi were determined to get unique photos in locations and perspectives that I haven’t seen for our venue before.
She knew (and remembered) every detail that we wanted captured, and my bridesmaids were very impressed with how much she knew about us as a couple and about every detail of the day. A few weeks before the wedding, I sent her a collection of inspiration photos for the vibe we were going for - the photos she got could not have been more spot on! I spent my whole wedding planning process reminding myself that I can’t compare photos from our “regular” wedding to the styled shoots and ultra-expensive weddings I see in Pinterest and Instagram posts… and now after seeing our wedding photos, I look at Instagram and Pinterest and I find myself thinking those photos don’t look as good as mine!

instantly clicked. Throughout the process leading up to the wedding, both she and Javi were incredibly responsive, professional and flexible. It’s clear that they both take great pride and care in the work that they do, and want each client’s experience to be truly unique and special.
In anticipation of possible poor weather forecasted on our wedding day, (and threatening our outdoor photos), Dominique created multiple alternative back-up plans which helped to relieve our stress and put us at ease leading up to the big day. The photo gallery they delivered to us is stunning! We will cherish these photos forever. If you’re looking for an incredibly hard working and talented photographer duo, I highly recommend booking with Castillo Holliday Photo + Film!

Multiple wedding guests commented how unobtrusive and inconspicuous they were on the wedding day, yet they captured photos of every special moment. Dominique and Javi are so easy to interact with, and they were incredibly communicative throughout the whole wedding planing process. They are extremely organized and made sure they had all the relevant details they needed well in advance. I would highly recommend Castillo Holliday Photo + Film for your photography needs. ment and some of our favorite spots around Boston after. We ended up reaching out to Dominique and it was incredibly clear how professional, passionate, and flexible she was with our vision. We were able to bounce many ideas off of each other leading up to the day that they executed with ease.
Honestly it was the best decision we made. They were on time, made us and our close friends and family feel super comfortable, and captured a great balance of family/friend photos, posed and more candid ones. Their energy, their prompts, and the environment they were able to create, made our session around the city our favorite part of the entire day. It truly allowed my husband and I to take the time to really be with each other and celebrate finally being married in a fun and intimate way. Within 3 days, we received our previews and they were STUNNING. The gallery itself came soon after and we couldn't be happier with it. She even took the time afterwards to edit out a large scar on my ankle, which I truly appreciated.
We have rebooked Dominique and Javi to photograph and film (on Super 8) our formal wedding in Connecticut this summer. Their professionalism and expertise has continued to carry into the preparation for this. We are beyond confident that they will do a fabulous job and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer duo!
Dominique was so fun to work with! She already had locations and direction in mind when we arrived and was super flexible and happy to accommodate all the chaos that weddings bring

with every picture. Thanks Dominique and Javi, the pictures you have taken are priceless and will allow us to relive that so important day whenever we wish to do so.
We could not be more thrilled with our decision to hire Dominique to document our big day. Our wedding was a Covid-delayed, DIY affair (food truck, lawn games, dancing, toast-style...
ring ceremony at a historic house). We wanted the focus of the wedding to be having fun with our guests - so we were initially unsure of what to look for in a photographer, but knew we wanted someone that thrived shooting in outdoor lighting and capturing candid moments. Dominique came at the recommendation of our day-of coordinator - who shared that she’d be a perfect fit for what we were looking for.
From our first conversation, we knew we made the right choice. She was an absolute joy to work with from the very beginning, and her enthusiasm for her craft comes through in the work she did. During the day, she floated between the clusters of family and friends gathered around the lawn and under the tent. She picked her spots for the posed shots, timing perfectly around the scheduled events and lighting. We got all the shots we had hoped for, while never feeling like we were missing out on the party.
After the wedding, she overdelivered big time - getting us more quality shots than we ever could have imagined sooner than she had promised. As a result, we were able to share pictures with our loved ones while still basking in the afterglow of our wedding day. I definitely recommend working with Dominque, especially if you’re doing something outside and/or colorful.

each out to them!
I first contacted Dominique to take photos of a surprise engagement. They met with me beforehand and helped me plan the location and time. Dominique was extremely professional, kind, and generous with her time. On the day itself she was at the location early and updated me by text. She had previews of some of the photos that same day, and the full set of photos later in the week. The photos were wonderful! We both can't believe that they turned out so well.
For the courthouse wedding, she managed to take some wonderful pictures even in the dim fluorescent lighting of Boston City Hall. Then afterwards we walked around downtown taking more pictures--she had a few locations in mind that we wouldn't have thought of! Looking back at the pictures now, it's amazing how she adapted the style of both of these photoshoots--we love them. The quickness of her editing wasn't a fluke last time, either--she delivered us dozens of expertly-edited photos within 24 hours (way faster than the advertised turn-around-time).

ed me to hop on a google meeting with myself and my partner. Dominique is not only the kindest human being in existence but she is also super accepting of the LGBTQIA+ community and I felt super safe working with her. Right off the bat, she asked for my pronouns and the same for my partner. It is the small things that really go a long way.
Dominique not only made our elopement special but she made it fun and always had something witty to make us laugh and feel at ease. Thank you once again for everything.
