e venue. I think this is what makes this venue so wonderful! Exceptional food and service! Every aspect of this place is simply beautiful! Perfect place for a southern style wedding! The chapel is brand new and is stunning. The courtyard and grounds are very well groomed and beautifully maintained. Their newly renovated ballroom is so elegant and perfect for a dream reception! Very clean and beautifully decorated! Emily is the wedding day coordinator, I have never met a more organized woman! She is worth her weight in gold! We also hired her as our wedding planner and she was amazing! Everything that Sydney and Hinton had dreamed for their perfect wedding, she was able to make it all come true! We could not think of one thing that we would change! Once we arrived at Castle Hill, we didn't have to worry about a thing or lift a finger for anything! It was all very well planned and top shelf service!! Emily has everything very organized and keeps the day on track!! Just perfect so you can enjoy every aspect of your special day!! We had their rehearsal dinner there, as well. Again, the food was absolutely amazing! The servers were exceptional. I can't brag on them enough! I don't think my wine glass was completely empty all night! Their wedding day was absolutely magical! From the huge bridal suit the girls used to get ready during the day, to the beautiful sparkler send off out front of the beautiful southern style white columned home at the end of the night! The bridal suite is equipped with great lighting and mirrored stations for hairstylists and makeup artists to do their work. Plenty of room for all 9 bridesmaids to hangout and sip on mimosas and eat brunch. The brand new chapel was something you would see in a magazine! Simply stunning! From the beautiful cathedral windows to the gold icicle chandeliers. So elegant and picturesque. Not to mention, the acoustics were perfect for our sting trio. It made the music sound so beautiful. I just can't say enough about this place! They had a cocktail hour after the wedding outside in the beautiful courtyard with a jazz band. Again, plenty of servers to make sure everyone were offered hors d'oeuvres and the bartenders were fast and great! The reception was the best!! Great place to have a live band! Their is a large stage and they have a green room for the band to go to between sets to eat and rest. Great dance floor and bar area! Just beautiful!! And did I mention the food? The food was so delicious!! Our guest have gone on, and on, how this was the best food they have ever had at an event or wedding reception of this size! The best beef tenderloin I think I have ever tasted! And the the late night snacks...be sure you have the hamburger and fries! She serves on a glazed donut! Yum! Jean makes sure everything is perfect from the presentation of the food, to the way it all tastes! Very high class venue! Just perfect for your once in a life time dream wedding!!

help with everything that you need! It was so nice to be able to get married in the new chapel and then walk a few steps over to the ballroom for our reception! It was also very convenient for my parents to stay the weekend in the rooms that are offered upstairs. Castle Hill is a one stop shop for everything you need for your wedding! We could not have picked a better venue. The food is also amazing! You cannot find a better venue filled with beauty, hospitality, amazing owners/employees and professional advice and help! Highly recommended!

The Bride’s Room is wonderful with a professional steamer machine right there at your finger tips with lots of makeup mirrors, and plenty of restrooms. The bride can, if she wishes, soak in the tub that could be a swimming pool. Our family chose to stay at Castle Hill for the weekend and the rooms are all so pretty and perfect. It was so nice to be right there and never get in a car. Ms. Jean and Mr. Randy take such good care of the venue and Ms. Jean and her staff prepared the most wonderful and beautiful food. Throughout the day of the wedding, if I couldn’t find something all I had to do was look up and either the wedding coordinator Emily or Easton who I think of as a Head Butler were there to help. All of them could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about Castle Hill.

Oxford, over six months prior, had gone out of business without notifying anyone! With their wedding less than five months away, we were really in a pickle! Later that evening, we saw the sweetest Facebook post from Jean expressing her concern for all the brides affected by this situation. I called her early the next morning and two days later we toured her beautiful venue and booked it on the spot. That fiasco turned into such a blessing!!! Jean and her staff are awesome. They have great suggestions and are so easy to work with. The venue is so pretty for pictures. Since you have access to all the spacious facilities, guests can be at the center of the celebration in the ballroom or can visit and hold conversations in one of the parlors or beautiful bar area. My daughter and son-in-law loved every minute of their wedding reception at Castle Hill!!!

During the walk-through you see just how beautiful the venue is, but here are a few things that will really set your big day over the top: 1. Bridal Suite: This is a game changer. I had eleven bridesmaids, three mothers, two make-up and hair stylists, along with two flower girls and there was plenty of room for everyone to get dressed. Not to mention it is a beautiful space! 2. Green Room: Having had a live band, this was one feature they raved about. Having an area where they could change, take their break, and eat dinner was greatly appreciated. Style the Band was our entertainment and I HIGHLY recommend them. Amy was wonderful to work with! 3. Ceremony locations: The grounds are beautifully manicured which allows you flexibility as to where you host your ceremony. Whether it be in the courtyard, on the front porch (rain plan), by the pool, or under a tent in the front yard, the possibilities are endless. 4. Use of real candles: Many venues do allow candles to be lit, but Castle Hill does. To go along with the Southern theme of my wedding, we used many lanterns and candles as table decorations. 5. On site lodging: Caleb and I stayed on site the evening of our wedding. The room was beautiful and when you are exhausted after the wedding, it is nice to be able to go upstairs to your room. 6. Photos: Because there are such beautiful locations on site, I would recommend doing a walk-through with your photographer to see where you would like certain photos taken. I knew I did not want the same backdrop in every photo, so we really took advantage of the space we were given. Overall, I would highly recommend Castle Hill as your wedding venue. You will not be disappointed!

These ladies made sure everything was in check and helped make our day perfect. Not only that, but the property is just beautiful. Most of my husband's family is from Nebraska, so we wanted to show them a sweet southern wedding. They all just loved the venue and all the details in the house. Overall, we wouldn't have changed a single thing, and we very much recommend Castle Hill as your wedding venue!

rty's getting ready area was fabulous. The food was amazing, and Tess and Jean made my wedding go so smoothly. I was able to stay calm and just enjoy my day thanks to their hard work. I can't recommend the Colonel's Quarters highly enough!

g with the unmistakable southern atmosphere. Our overnight accomodations were perfect as was the breakfast. The owner, Jean, made us feel so at home and event coordinator, Tess was more than we deserved. On the day of the wedding, God Bless Her Soul, Tess is the one preparing our food! This is dedication! The late hours she was there on Friday and back again on Saturday morning show her commitment to not only her job, but to the bride and guests. The food was absolutely amazing! It was real food not just pretty food. Our friends are still talking about it weeks later. Her "Southern Comforts' of little mason jars with shrimp and grits or catfish, hushpuppies and hoppin john were precious mini meals but the buttered beef tenderloin melted in your mouth! OMG! To Die For! :) OH! and her candied bacon...I have no words! OH and the DONUT BURGERS! Yes!!! We had Donut Burgers and Fries in little carry out chinese boxes for late night. Adorable and delicious! WE HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT CASTLE HILL!!!! I guess it bothers me to read reviews and comments when I know there is probably more to the story than the negative that has been posted because our experence was nothing but wonderful! I know as a business, you can't say certain things to defend yourself and I respect Jean and Tess for not stooping to that level. Some people are just unhappy and they find comfort in hurting others. I will say I find it almost comical that money was stolen from a couple's card box the way it was described. I'm sure there have been many years of card boxes and none reported missing. I wonder if the bride and groom didn't overspend and think they would extort cash from Castle Hill, or maybe the money was never placed in the box by the wonderful relative that claimed to have left it.Think about it... As for the coordinating of the wedding, Tess was able to handle our large crowd of outspoken young men and women and get them down the aisle. The rest of the night she watched our crowd and things took place as she, the sober one, felt should happen. If I am correct, some of her services are included in the venue fee and others are additional. Maybe some brides should hire an outside Day of Wedding Coordinator if they expect to be catered to every minute of the day and evening. I know from experience this can be an addional $3000 or more. I think Tess handled our event just fine and my friend saved $3000! The Staff! Oh My! We could not have been happier with the staff. The bartenders were fun and the rest of the staff kept our tables clean from dirty plates and cups all night. They worked hard and alway had smiles on their faces. We especially loved Lanie and Jessica! REMEMBER- there are 2 sides to every story. Unhappy people are usually that way all the time so please don't let a negative review influence you, especially one where police were involved and found no fault in Castle Hill. Jean has a great crew working for her! Castle HIll is an amazing venue and I would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding in Oxford. Mary Dale Walker Allen, TX
