In a nutshell, be warned that if you want to use them as your wedding photographers (we had Jessica and Christy) you should do the following and be aware of the following: Tell them up front and probably on the day of your actual wedding what shots you want, where you want them and how you want them to be taken. Tell them to use a list for reference so they don't miss any important shots. Make sure they have the correct address to send your pics to, don't expect them to wait two days while on your honeymoon in another country to confirm this. We learned the hard way and Joyce sent out pics to my husband's former address and would not re-send the pics to the correct address. She made us burden the current tenant and the landlady to finally retrieve the package. Lastly, the impression my husband and I received from this company is that they only want your money and do not care about your happiness as a client or the quality of their company. When we told Joyce how disappointed we were in the photos and lack of candid shots (which they are known for) she never asked us why or how they could accommodate the situation. She insisted she could make us a great art book but gave us a refund for the cost of making an art book which was part of our package. While I cannot recommend them wholeheartedly for weddings, I do however, recommend them for children's portraits as they took nearly 300 photos of the 4 children at our wedding and those turned out great, yet none of our group wedding party shots turned out and our parents were barely in any shots...

After searching for, meeting with and price comparing many photographers, from the moment my fiancé and I met with Joyce Heisen in her beautiful home we knew that our search was over. The packages they offer are amazing combined with the attention and care taken to prepare for the wedding, on the day of, and getting us the images continues to confirm why they were the best choice. Joyce really took the time prior to the big day with several phone calls and many emails to sort out portraits and locations wanted, family members present and not present (impressive considering both my husband and I are from divorced and blended families), schedules for the day, and effective planning for the unexpected weather changes. I think Joyce knew the weather forecast better than I did!! On the day of we were lucky enough to have Jessica, Joyce’s daughter, and Corinne as our photographers. They arrived and just made the day easier. They actually helped keep everyone on schedule and directed people where they needed to be. They were sweet and encouraging and made everyone feel at ease as they captured every special moment. They were courteous in the Church complying with the Church’s restrictive rules and regulations, and were effective when corralling our large families so they could fit into one photo frame. Less than a week after the wedding all of our photos were up on their website available for anyone to see and order prints or albums. Less than two weeks after the wedding my husband and I received our own digital copies of all our photos (without extra charge and without a watermark). My husband and I are trying to select photos for our wedding Art Book Casual Candids will create; only trouble is how difficult it is when there are just too many beautiful photos to choose from! This is my first-ever online review, but I could not keep such a flawless experience to myself! Thank you again Joyce, Jessica and Corrine and everyone else at Casual Candids, you guys rock!!

- we wanted photos that captured our day without feeling posed or over-produced. The results were amazing! Even the family portraits looked casual, warm, and whimsical, without the stuffiness that I've seen in other wedding photos. Joyce's creativity was apparent in the unique perspective shots that managed to get every angle of our day without seeming invasive. To be honest, I barely remember seeing the photographers at all, which means I didn't feel like they were "on my heels" the whole night. I cannot say enough about Casual Candids' professionalism and talent!

Worth every penny!

Our wedding was on a very hot summer day, but they never complained and didn't let that deter them from getting great shots. We had a tight budget, and they worked with us on the cost and even comped our engagement shoot. I felt very comfortable with them from the beginning, and my husband and I are thrilled with our photos. We also saw them again a few months later at a friend's wedding, and they were very warm towards us and sent us a few complimentary shots from that event. They are very professional and personable! I highly recommend them.

nniversary gift for parents a few years after the wedding. I was very pleased so I decided that I had to have Joyce for my wedding. Joyce is fantastic. The other photographer that she brought that day was Evette and she was just as wonderful. Joyce is very pleasant and she is great with handling all the details. I am not a person who is very comfortable having her picture taken but Joyce makes you feel very relaxed. She did an engagement session for us and we chose pictures to be made into a guest book. People signed the book at the wedding next to our pictures. I love that book! I haven't seen our wedding photos yet since it was just about 2 weeks ago. I can't wait to see them and I will update this review when I do.

ch as we did about our wedding. They did a awesome job at arraning out first meeting and allowed us to have a few private moments before the hustle and bustle of our day. I just recevied my photos and there are amazing! They did a awesome job of capturing special moments between family and our guest. Their pictures did a wonderful job of capturing the events of the day and our venue. The only bad thing to say is that some our my guest (like my mother in law) thought thier attire was not appropriate for a wedding. I personally didn't care but it would be the only thing I change about them! I highly reccommend them!

o have Joyce and Jessica at our wedding. They are both fun and professional and made what could have been a stressful day go by smoothly. Jessica is beyond creative with her layout of the photo albums and Joyce only chooses the highest quality papers and albums. The most difficult decision is narrowing down the pictures for your album. Joyce and Jessica both know how to get the best shot out of someone in the natural setting. Our dog is more like a child than a pet, so Joyce even encouraged us to have him in some of the pictures. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

efore our wedding and after seeing her sample work and learning that a DVD of our wedding images was included with our package (which is often NOT the case) I knew she was the right photographer for us. A few months before our wedding we met with Joyce to do our Engagement Photos, which gave us the chance to get to know each other's styles. My fiance absolutely hates to get his picture taken and tends to look angry or confused in photos as a result. Joyce figured out that he blinked before the photo was taken, knew how to get him to stop and as a result we had gorgeous engagement photos where my fiance actually smiled. As for our wedding day, Joyce and her associate Wendy were early to set up, which helped keep my bridesmaids on task. They took literally thousands of photos throughout the day to the point that we had an impossible task of picking the "best" photos because they were all so good. Since Joyce uses a photojournalistic style there are so many wonderful unposed shots she took that we didn't even realize which honestly created so many favorites. Joyce recommended some wonderful locations as options for our group portraits and the amazing setting combined with Joyce's creative use of the background and lenses created art-like photos that are genuinely amazing. I can honestly say that all of my married friends are jealous of the combination of fun, beautiful, and unexpected photos we have. The fact that the photos went up on the website meant that my guests living all around the country could see the photos as soon as they went up. And they were up before I was even home from my honeymoon! I cannot express in words the extent of how pleased I was to work with Candid Casuals for my wedding. We finally selected the photos for our Fusion Artbook, which has such a wonderful look, and I am eager to see what sort of creativity will go into our album. Our Christmas gifts this year are full of blown up images Joyce and Wendy took of our guests at our wedding and I know they are going to be a huge hit!

for an album, because I love nearly every photo. Joyce and Jessica were a ton of fun, so my wedding party, my husband, and I felt relaxed and energetic the entire time. They had some great, creative ideas for different shots, but allowed us to have input also. Also a major bonus was we got to see every photo they shot, there was no 1000 or 2000 limit like a lot of photographers.
