From the very beginning, Cat felt like family—and by the end, I truly couldn’t imagine having anyone else by our side on our wedding day. She didn’t just take photos; she created m...
oments, captured emotions, and preserved memories that we will cherish forever.
Her talent is absolutely unmatched. She has an incredible ability to lead the way with posing while still making everything feel natural, effortless, and so comfortable in front of the camera. Even in moments where we might have felt awkward or unsure, she guided us with ease and confidence, allowing us to fully be present and enjoy the day.
What makes her truly special is the care she puts into her work. Every photo tells a story—full of love, joy, and authenticity—and looking through our gallery feels like reliving our wedding all over again. The experience was seamless, personal, and filled with warmth, and by the end of it all, I was genuinely sad to see the process come to an end.
She is a true artist and one of the best investments we made for our wedding. We will absolutely use her again for future milestones, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for someone who makes you feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated while delivering breathtaking photos, she is it.

rit during our Chicago engagement session, and she made us so comfortable on the big day. Since I was getting ready at home, I wanted to make sure our photographer was someone we wanted to hang out with in our house for several hours, and now I want Cat to be my BFF :) Regarding our photos, they're better than we could have ever asked for. And she's incredibly communicative. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

on your wedding day!). Cat was communicative from the moment we submitted our request to her and we never felt in the dark. She was fully knowledgeable on all things related to our ceremony venue, getting amazing shots from angles we never even thought about and locations we didn't think about on campus. She also delivered us our full gallery SO quickly. To say it was a pleasure working with her is truly an understatement!

rstanding, and very, very skilled at what she does! She makes posing feel natural and the sessions fun and exciting. Cat was also extremely helpful when it came to planning out the timing of the wedding, and was flexible when I made last minute changes a few days before the wedding. And the finished products are perfect!!! She provided hundreds of beautiful photos from our wedding day, and they are so much more beautiful than I expected. She captured all of the photos we asked for, and went above and beyond with the number and variety of shots that she captured. If you are getting married soon, especially in the South Bend area, I cannot recommend Cat Alkire for your wedding photographer enough!

elines back to me more times than I could count and helped to add in things I would have never thought of. The day of, she was super flexible and made sure that I had options if things didn’t go exactly according to plan. She and her assistant were honestly just like two more friends getting ready the day of and really put my mind at ease. We got married in December but still wanted outdoor photos. Cat and her assistant had hand warmers to share, and we were able to get some really get shots. We still haven’t received all of our photos back, but Cat shared a sneak peek that we got to view on our honeymoon and could not be happier! I wanted photographers that captured the day exactly as it was and that’s exactly what she did. I couldn’t recommend Cat Alkire more!

While my April 2020 wedding dreams were crumbling before my eyes, Cat was compiling a list of available postponement dates. She sent me tentative timelines for Wedding Plan A, Wedding Plan B, and Wedding Plan C (she is amazingly fast a responding to emails). She made a micro-wedding at my house look flawless. She’s a talented photographer, a much-needed cheerleader, and a shoulder to lean on. I hope you experience 0 pandemics during wedding planning. But the world throws curve balls, and when it does, you want Cat on your team!

Her work is remarkable, and they captured our day better than I could have ever imagined. I am constantly going back to view the photos and reminisce on our magical day through her lens.
