Cat's wedding photojournalism has been featured on national blogs like Wedding Chicks, The Knot, Bridal Guide, Offbeat Bride, 7x7 and Rustic Wedding Chic as well as magazines like Vermont Bride Magazine and Vermont Vows.
Her career began in New York City and led her to San Francisco, Vermont, and now, Santa Cruz County, California. Cat had a weekly street fashion photo-column in New York Press, was a newspaper photojournalist for amNewYork, TimesLedger Newspapers, Half Moon Bay Review, and Seven Days, and was a magazine writer and photographer for Half Moon Bay Magazine, Pacifica Magazine and KidsVT. She was awarded "Photographer of the Year" by the New York Press Association and "Best Feature Photography" by the California Better Newspapers Association for her work as a staff newspaper photographer.
She lives in Aptos, California. She is originally from New Hampshire and Vermont.

I cannot say enough good things about Cat. She was one of the first vendors we chose and, after speaking to her on the phone, we were absolutely sold. She made us feel so excited and comfortable that we knew we would trust her to capture our most precious memories, plus she came highly recommended by our venue and she even has a great combination photography/videography deal!
Cat was easily our favorite vendor. We had an engagement shoot with her, which we considered a sort of "practice run" for our wedding day and I highly recommend that to any couple. We got a chance to get comfortable with her and get comfortable in front of the camera - and then we had the ability to get a preview of how she can capture a love story. She has an incredible ability to capture candid moments in such a beautiful way, you would almost think it was posed, except that it is so genuine.
She is always available and quick to respond. She is encouraging and gives feedback but is never pushy, and in that way our pictures came out so natural. On our wedding day, she was there early and zipping around capturing everything. When I got the photos back (super fast), I couldn't believe all the moments she was able to capture - after the wedding I had worried that I hadn't gotten enough memories of the day, but I was floored to see how much she captured without me even noticing and it washed all that worry away. She didn't miss a moment.
Then, we got our videos back and they were absolutely gorgeous. I was surprised when even the highlight reel brought tears to my eyes - and then the full length video was a balanced mix of sweetness and laughter. Cat is absolutely incredible at what she does, and she genuinely made us feel like she was as invested in our day as we were, which is everything you need in the person you are trusting to capture the memories of one of the most important days of your life.
I really can’t say enough good things about Cat! We first met her when interviewing photographers for our wedding and are so happy we chose her! She took our engagement, wedding and some lifestyle photos after with our dogs. In addition to taking absolutely fantastic photos she is fun to be around, makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, creative, flexible, will not rush you and she knows tons of good places to get outdoor photos in the greater Burlington area. She even went to our wedding venue the week prior to practice photos with lighting at the right time of day (even though she’s shot many weddings at this venue!). She has always been speedy to return our photos to us as well! We will be using Cat for many more family lifestyle photos in the future 😊
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Cat! My husband and I met Cat during our amazing engagement shoot. During this experience, we were able to capitalize on the natural fall beauty in Burlington, Vermont and Cat captured every sweet moment we had together. My husband and I were not used to being photographed but her sweet demeanor and fantastic ideas made it an unforgettable experience. I used several of the shots from our engagement shoot for our save the dates and put them on our wedding website. Cat was able to get the photos to us really quickly and we were floored by how beautiful they were and loved the variety of shots we had to choose from. I even framed several of the engagement photos and used them to decorate our barn at during our wedding reception. When it came time to our wedding, Cat made our experience even better than I could have imagined! I knew my wedding day pictures would be amazing, but what absolutely surprised me were the special moments Cat captured. From the loving way my husband and I looked at each other at our first look to my dad dipping me on the dance floor, Cat captured all of the moments that made our wedding unforgettable! Cat not only documented these incredible moments, but she also used her artistic eye to photograph every inch of our beautiful barn wedding. She documented each of our meticulously planned wedding areas which meant the world to me, especially because some of the details were gone before I even saw them, such as our delicious donut wall that was eaten up immediately! Words cannot express my gratitude for Cat and her incredible eye. The photos she took will be hanging on the walls of our home forever!
Cat was an absolute pleasure to work with through the entire process, and the photos are even better than I could have imaged. I was planning the wedding from long distance and was unable to meet Cat (or any other vendors) ahead of time which can be stressful. From the very first phone call, I was comforted to find that Cat is so kind, organized, and helpful in zeroing in on the things I should be thinking about leading up to the big day. Come wedding day, Cat was full of positive energy and great ideas for photos. Now that I have the final photos, I can see that she somehow was everywhere capturing all the details however I never even noticed that day so it wasn't distracting. I would and will recommend Cat to anyone up in the VT area. So thankful to have found her!
It was truly a blessing to work with Cat! She was incredible and captured everything exactly how we wanted! I cannot stress how friendly and dedicated she is to her work. Definitely is shown through her photos. She listened to all our ideas and worked with all our craziness :) Loved working with her and would do it again!

Cat is an amazing photographer to work with! She takes traditional photographs with ease, she's very cheerful and efficient. But what sets her apart is her eye for detail and her ability to capturing those special moments. She tells a story through her photography!
Cat was the photographer for my wedding at Lareau Farm Inn in August of 2015. From the moment I spoke to her I knew we had to have her as a part of our day. She was professional yet fun throughout the entire process. We were able to easily communicate our vision for our photos and at the same time trusted Cat to be creative in how she told the story of our day. I did not for one moment throughout the time she spent with us have to wonder where she was or whether or not she was capturing our most important moments. She had our trust and our photos came out beautifully. We will truly treasure them for the rest of our lives. Thank you Cat!
If there were more stars to click, I would. Cat was truly amazing. When my husband and I first started looking for our wedding photographer we weren't really sure what we were doing. As Philadelphians getting married in Vermont we knew we wanted someone local, but we didn't have a connection to anyone. We interested several people by phone and a few in person and just when we thought we had picked someone, we had one more meeting - and we met Cat.
What struck us both was her first question "how did you meet?" -- from there we started a great conversation. We talked about what was important to us for our wedding day and how she would capture those important moments. We flew up to Vermont in May and spent hours with Cat (she was so generous with her time) to do some wonderful engagement photos. As the day drew close, Cat was responsive, on time, imaginative, and above all kind and caring.
Looking back Jeremy and I can't think of anyone who could have done a better job.
Thank you Cat for making our day truly memorable, and for taking the photos that will help us relive those memories everyday.

Cat did an amazing job capturing our September 2014 wedding in Vermont. She got to know our personalities and made the entire experience phenomenal. She was great at getting us to loosen up during "staged" pictures and melted into the crowd to capture incredible action shots during the ceremony and reception!
I had forgotten to list a very important shot that I wanted taken and sure enough when our photos came back to us she had captured it anyways :)
I worked with Cat in Vermont when she photographed events and weddings at Basin Harbor Club. She creates a beautiful product and is also very attentive to detail. As a venue, we highly recommended her to our clients looking for this service.
My daughter got married in the Fall of 2014. The two most important things to my daughter were the wedding dress and the photographer. She researched several photographers and decided on Cat. The day of the wedding, Cat was on time, and immediately began taking pictures. Besides the pictures that we had requested, she had creative suggestions for other pictures. When Cat was ready to leave the wedding, she made sure to ask if there were any more pictures that we wanted taken. When Cat sent the link to the pictures, I was overwhelmed at the number of pictures that she had taken. The pictures were just beautiful, and a remembrance of a very happy and fun event. Cat is a lovely person, talented photographer, and I can not recommend her enough.
My husband and I had Cat shoot our fall Lake Champlain, Vermont wedding and they pictures turned out exceptional. She really listens to what is important to you and your wedding and then runs with it. She has quite a creative side so let her use it! Her photojournalism really showed by playing with different angles with candid and posed shots. She's worth the money. If I could use her every time I need a photographer I would.
We really hit the jackpot with Cat as our photographer! She paid such great attention to detail, and took extra time with us to make sure we got all of the wonderful shots at our venue! Our wedding would not have been the same without her. Cat was a blast, and kept us laughing and smiling. I would refer her to anyone!

Cat shot our wedding in August. Working with Cat was wonderful. She is a lovely and calm presence. She listened to all of our wishes before the wedding and was available by email and phone as we live in NYC. I sent her examples of styles I like and she incorporated them into her own ascetic.
Above all, the photos were absolutely gorgeous. Even my very camera shy husband liked pictures of himself! I would absolutely recommend her for any event.
